Called GPS on 12-31-2010, expecting to get voice mail or an appointment some time during the next week. Jeff (company President) answered the phone and showed up at the front door a few hours later. His rates are not the cheapest (""competitive"" may be a better term), but I am agreeable to paying a bit extra for getting everything being done right the first time, his knowledge, his professionalism, and his let's get the job done NOW work ethic. He arrived with all the parts and tools necessary. Jeff looked over the things we wanted done and then quoted a price. We accepted and he got right to work. We have been so bummed by the poor quality workmanship by other contractors that we have put off having some things done around the house. Jeff's work was like a breath of fresh air. I can't recommend him highly enough! Thank you, Jeff.

I have no idea why my previous review got flagged. Anyhow.... I feel the need to write another review since the service that Jeff offered should be noticed. While working on my plumbing needs I felt that Jeff was very knowledgeable and honest. He was very professional and explained to me what he was doing.

The first time I had him come to my property I had to reschedule him due to issues with my HOA that I will not get into. But Jeff did not make a big deal out of the matter and even came by again that afternoon to get my leak fixed.

Jeff has been to our house 3 times. Once for the air conditioner, once for the thermostat and once for the water heater. Each visit was professional and with very good quality work. Highly recommend.

Last time we called Jeff at 7:00pm on a Saturday and he quickly responded. Then he set up an appt. for Sunday morning and arrived on time and replaced the water heater. Hows that for service?

Short version: I have snaked my own sewer line and repaired my own copper plumbing - I may not be an expert - but I am not a novice either. This is my guy from now on!

Longer version: We were headed out the door for church on a Sunday morning when we noticed water backing up into the tub. I knew exactly what it was: roots in my sewer main. Which meant renting a snake at home depot and spending half a day under the house - I wasn't in the mood. So I started calling services for estimates.

I started with the ""big boys"" and got no-where. Then I had a dope-slap-moment: check out Yelp! I started calling around - not expecting anyone to answer at 9am on a Sunday morning. Jeff Green answered the phone personally.

I gave him the scenario and he quoted me a ball-park figure over the phone - said he would be out in an hour and a half.

Then he called once he was on his way just to reassure me.

When he arrived, his truck was immaculate and he was a professional as ever. He went to work and had the clog fixed in no time. He asked where the nearest grocery store was because he wanted to buy/spread some kitty litter in the crawl space to deal with any left-over smell and moisture. I am positive no other plumber would go above and beyond like this.

In the end, the bill was on the low-end of the quote range.

As I said before - this is my plumbing guy - professional, personable, down-to-earth and good at what he does all for a reasonable price!

I have been using Jeff Green and Green Pluming Services for years and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an honest, ethical, and quality plumber. However, don't limit Jeff to handling only your plumbing needs. I have had Jeff replace a thermostat, repair heating and air conditioning ducts, tune-up my air conditioner, and completely re-pipe my house to replace the polybutylene pipe. Jeff's prices are very reasonable and his advice is highly valuable. I have referred Green Plumbing Services to many of my own clients as well and will continue to do so because of the great work Jeff does. Did I mention that he leaves that job as clean as when he showed up?
