I found Anam through Berkeley Parents Network. He had very positive reviews there so I called him to fix a leak in our bathtub drain. Anam came out right away to take a look at it and he fixed it the same day. He and his partner did a thorough job working on some fairly old pipes installed in a less than orthodox way and got the problem solved. He cleaned up the bathroom and now we have a working bathtub again!

Anam's a great plumber and is also a great communicator.. He took the time to explain different options to me and walked me through the upsides/downsides of each option.

I'd definitely cal Anam again the next time I need a plumber and I have no reservations about referring him to other folks who need a good plumber!

Wow. I'm so glad my neighbors found Green Eagle. I was frustrated with my plumber's failure to show up and the excessive bid I got from another. On a whim, I asked Green Eagle to provide an estimate after watching them do meticulous work on my down the street neighbor's house. They gave an estimate that was quite fair, and got the work done the next day. They made sure it was done right--this is really beautiful plumbing they did. They clearly take pride in doing a job right and installing for the long term. I'll certainly recommend them to friends and call them again, but probably never for my under the sink disposal--I expect that to last as long as the house now.

We recently bought a new house in Oakland and hired Anam to take care of the plumbing in our bathroom and kitchen, as well as installing laundry and dryer hookups and a tankless water heater. He was always extremely friendly and responsive, and able to get the work done in a very timely manner. He was also very informative, explaining things very clearly, and knowledgeable of code requirements.

I'm so glad I took a co-worker's advice and called Green Eagle. Anam has provided plumbing service at my home a number of times since I moved to this area a year ago, and I'm sold on the guy. He does fine work, does exactly what he says he's going to do, and then charges a fair and reasonable fee. That's enough to merit a 5-star review, but Anam distinguished himself last week by helping me resolve plumbing issues that surfaced on the morning we were leaving town. He stabilized the situation after we already left the house, assured us by phone that we wouldn't be flooded while we were gone, and then returned two more times to follow up and get us back on track without any overcharges or nonsense. He always showed up on time. I'm lucky to have found the guy. Now you are too.

Green Eagle Plumbing - owner Anam Paldgyee - came the day I called! He checked the hot water heater, checked the pipes. And the next day, he came back on time with an assistant. They put in new copper pipes, bought a fine new hot water heater (much more efficient than the old one) & finished the work. They left my home neat & clean. It was a pleasure! We attempted to do a small plumbing job on our own, but when we realized we didn't have the right tools or know-how to complete the job we called Anam at Green Eagle based on a friend's recommendation. Anam scheduled us right away, helped us by getting past the most difficult part of the plumbing repair and offered to complete the job for a modest fee or give us instructions on how to complete the job on our own. We opted to complete to job on our own, and he gave us complete instructions, and would not accept any payment from us for the portion of the job he did for us. We are pretty loyal customers, but after a few years with another plumber who took days to respond to our calls, often cancelled on us, and always charged a hefty fee, we are happy to have found Anam. Highly recommend this honest and considerate plumber!

This past Saturday the ""sump pump"" ...gross way of getting 'crap' up to the street & into the city's system...well that system went kaput. Seven of us depend on that pump, it keeps ""s..t"" from happening :) The ""manager' here called a nice, but unskilled plumber of sorts. He gave a quick look down at the pump (which was actually veiled in hideous stuff) and pronounced that a new one had to be bought (which meant we'd have to wait 'til Monday, 2 more days without flushing toilets, taking a shower, washing a dish. (Is this what makes homes into meth labs? you know, they need to do drugs in order to live without a sewer...just askin') Thankfully, I was allowed to call SUPER MAN Paldgyee (aka Anam). Politely, he questioned whether a new pump was needed; he felt the old one could be fixed. The other plumber didn't want to muck around in the raw sewage to find out, so he voted for Paldgyee to take the job (and off he ran to his truck)
I called Paldgyee/Green Eagle a 2nd time & asked him to please cover over. Although he'd just got home from a day full of taking care of 'emergency' calls, he said 'yes'. (Because he is also a very kind person & although he's modest, I feel he didn't want the 7 of us to suffer/ wait 'til Monday) Paldgyee worked 4.5 hours in the cold rain to put all right again (And he was right, no need to purchase a new pump! ) Please do yourself a favor & connect with this young man who is so knowledgeable, honest and patient. Now, please understand, Paldgyee isn't the cheapest (that man ran to his truck) yet neither is he the most expensive. He is, however, the fairest, most competent plumber you'll ever have the pleasure of having in your life !
