Wow. Coming home from vacation to an out of commission tankless water heater, that was under warranty though the company had gone out of business 3 years ago, was brutal! The team at Great Lakes Plumbing promptly saved us. Laura, while out of the office, ensured we got in contact with the right folks the same day, even though their schedule was packed. Mark ensured his ""tankless experts"" were the ones to take a look at our current unit. Matt provided us with several options: (1) after fixing the internal leak wait for the unit to dry out and see if the error code self-corrects; (2) order parts online to see if that corrects the error code (no tech support available for troubleshooting because the brand was out of business); (3) install a new tankless heater next day. We chose option 3 for reliability. Once again, we were squeezed into the busy schedule and Mark completed a prompt and very professional install. Couldn't be happier with the entire teams friendly nature, prompt response, and professionalism. THANKS!

They were able to give me a quote in less then 24 hours by sending an email with pictures and a brief description. No site visit needed!

When they came to do their work they were very informative and were able to give me honest feedback with options.

I needed to have a washer connection, and they told me that they charge $100.00 for an extimate which would be deducted from the total bill. I agreed. He came to estimate and told me I needed to have pipes removed and replaced with pvc. The estimate was $700.00! I said no too much, but he still charged $100.00! What a rip off! Estimates are part of the cost of doing business. (I got the washer hooked up for$400.00. Stay away from these guys!

Thanks for a job well done. They fixed a copper pipe that had a pinhole leak. This was our first plumbing problem since moving to our house one year ago. Glad we found a good plumber on the first try. Will call Great Lakes Plumbing next time a plumbing issue comes up.

We weren't sure how the sewage smell was coming into the house...
I got a call the day before from the guy (Rodney) who was scheduled for the next day.
He just wanted to have a feel for what was going on.
The next day he was digging in sewage and replacing pumps all the while being so great.
He brought drop cloths and kept my house perfectly clean.

Rodney was absolutely amazing! He knew exactly what to do. Then, did it quickly, efficiently and most importnatly gave me the information so that the problem wouldn't happen again.

I would highly recommend. After calling and asking for a ballpark quote I was given a quote of around $300. Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised to only have to forkout the best part of $200 found the guys be very honest. Will be recommending to friends and family and shoud the need ever arise I will be back.

I had a great experience with Great Lakes Plumbing (as great as plumbing experiences can go). I waited a while to write my review (the work was done in January) so I could be sure that the problems were truly fixed. We had 3 issues that we wanted to have addressed. We wanted a gas line run to switch out our electric dryer for gas, we had a leaking washer hook up in the laundry room and we had a leaky connection at the meter in the basement. I worked with Mark on scheduling. Mark was really good about promptly responding to my website inquiry. He quoted a fair price and explained some options and variables. He also sent me a text the morning that the plumber was to arrive letting me know who they were sending. The plumber was prompt and efficient. I had reached out to several local plumbers (as I'm a new homeowner in Grand Haven) and I'm pleased that I opted to hire Great Lakes Plumbing. Paying my invoice was really easy, and I was provided with an immediate receipt. I own a couple of rental properties in addition to my main home, so I've dealt with many plumbers over the years. I was really pleased with the quality of service. I thought the cost was comparable to competitors and I didn't feel like they were trying to be pushy or pull one over on me. I felt like they were honest, transparent and fair. I would definitely hire them in the future.

I had my 12 year old water heater spring a leak during the night. I was able to contact these guys by 6:00 am and they were out to replace it by 9:00 in the morning. Rodney did a great job of explaining the details of the unit. They were clean and efficient. I will call them first for any future issues.
