4 a.m. And our basement flooded. After calling Great American Plumbing they were here within 30minutes. Installed a new sum pump and saved our basement from needing complete remodeling. Best service in town. They really care about their customers.

We hired Great American Plumbing to install a 50 Gal Water heater in our place of business. Alex was very helpful on the phone, and recommended me the best water heater, to fit my needs. I cannot imagine calling someone else, next time I need a plumber.

I strongly recommend Great American Plumbing. They are very experienced and reliable!

Smelled gas and called Great American. They sent a plumber within 2 hours! John arrived with his gas monitor reader to check for where gas was leaking. He went through the whole apartment and couldn't find anything. He then asked to see the water heater. He dialed the water heater off and waited there for a few minutes. We then noticed the water heater dialing back on it's own. John determined that there was a gas leakage around that area. He then looked at the gas pipes and determined that they were old and corroding. John suggested installation of new gas service. We ended having John install gas service for 2 floors (better safe and piece of mind). John came back in 2 days to install the new gas service. All I can say is, he was very fair with pricing and knew what he was doing. I would definitely use them again and made sure to keep his business card! :) Thanks John!

These guys came the same day I asked for service and were very thorough and able to work their way around my back deck for cleaning out our catch basin. I would recommend them. We also called these guys for cleaning out our basement drain pipes. They did their job well.

The work was ok, but I got charged around 1000$ for a cumulative 3 hours of work. One the first day he was around 4 hours late and kept the residents waiting.

The impression he gave me to justify the quote was that it was a multiple days labor with 2 people that requires specialized equipment. In the end, it was just a basic leak fix which he did in around 2 hours. So the work was fine, but I felt like he was exploiting my emergency situation to overcharge.

There was also the problem of the inadvertent double billing of one of the charges, and I had to call them to undo that charge from my card.

**I checked their emailed Square receipt and it was from Great American Plumbing Inc, so I'm pretty sure this is the right place for the review.

Alex and his teammate Luke were super knowledgeable and responsive. I wish I found them sooner for all of the issues we had with our toilet running and costing us very high water bills .. and eventually a leak that went through our ceiling.
I would highly recommend them. Knowledgeable, reliable, prompt and just overall professional!!!

I have used Great American Plumbing a number of times - they have been great! I always ask for John. He is the best at cleaning out the catch basin and rooting through tree roots.

We called Great American Plumbing to run a cold water line for the installation of a pot filler. We hired them as a result of a very fair quote that was below most others and positive feedback on the company. John showed up on time and was very meticulous in his work. His attention to detail was beyond expectations, explained to us what he needed to do and why and seemed to go out of his way to ensure we were happy. John did great work!! The next time we need plumbing work done I can assure you that we will not call anyone else as he's quickly earned our trust.

John and son worked very hard to get a sewer line cleaned out that had been clogged for several years and all the plumbers who dealt with it (Stewart Pluming, the Scottish Plumber and Perfect Plumbing all had very high rates or low rates and simply didn't want to do the job, but those with high rates wanted to replace a portion of the plumbing line for a clean out for as much as $4000. John quoted 16-1800 for the same Job.

But John charged $350 to spend about 3 hours rodding the line and then after each rodding used the camera to see if the roots in the sewer had been cleared. I told him to go in again after one section wasn't quite clear. He did without complaint and put the camera in again and it was much better. They also put Root X in the line and told me I wouldn't have a problem, most likely for about 3 years before the roots grow back. This was a better alternative to the Scottish Plumber who wanted 4 thousand dollars. Scottish plumber says they will camera and rod for $99 dollars. But all he did was put the camera in. And then said he didn't need to rod because the camera poked a tiny hole in the roots allowing the sewage to pass temporarily until it rained or someone used a lot of toilet paper. He didn't rod. And if he had It would have been for 3 minutes not 3 hours which is all that was required.

Perfect plumbing camera'd the line and didn't charge for anything but wanted $2800 to put a clean out in the front yard.

These $99 dollars roddings are set ups for ""finding"" all kinds of problems that require all kinds of dollars to fix.

It would be nice to have a clean out. If I get one it will be from John, not all the other plumbers who quoted high and didn't really want to identify the problem.

Plumbers are pretty slippery I have found.

John wasn't. Good job. The thing is I could see for myself with the camera that the roots that I saw were now gone.

Last week, I hired Great American Plumbing to install the ice maker connection on my refrigerator and get my upstairs sink working again. In about two hours time and only $260, GAP had these items completed really well. I continue to be very pleased with their service and reasonable pricing. To other yelpers - the quick call back and ontime arrival are really great aspects of this plumber. The pricing is good, but to be honest, pricing is secondary factor to me with this type of work which can often be done poorly in old houses.
