I have used Grant Plumbing three times, once at a rental property and twice at my residence. I am more than happy with the results on all three jobs. They were reliable, courteous, did great work and their pricing was competitive. Grant is my go-to for plumbing needs.

Scott came out to gives us an estimate. He was very professional, kind, considerate and KNOWLEDGEABLE. We went with Grant Plumbing after 4 previous estimates. Scott ran a 2 inch pipeline from the kitchen and laundry abandoning the the old one. They had to dig a trench to tie to the mainline. We were very satisfied with the end result. I highly recommend Grant Plumbing to anyone!! These guys know their stuff!!!

I am still trying to get Scott to return my calls about the shoddy job he performed on my clogged toilet to the tune of $700.00. Even my contractor called him and got no response. He apparently poked a small hole in the clog and then assumed it was fixed. When that didn't work, he did come back and did the same thing all over again. But this time when he replaced the toilet, he didn't seal it properly and when it backed up yet again the backup came under the hardwood floor and ruined that and the subfloor. This guy is not to be trusted to do dependable work and I am now investigating how in the world I can get my money back! I've had RotoRooter and my contractor inspect his work and both came to the same conclusion. Patty Kovas, Atherton, CA

I didn't think professionals like this existed anymore. I hired Grant Plumbing for 2 jobs. My husband has ALS and I was desperately combing the internet for the right kind of toilet for him. Then I made a few calls and ended up speaking with Grant Plumbing. They helped me find what I needed and did the install. Sometimes there are angels. Then we needed a faucet replaced. Grant Plumbing did the job well and fast. These are not big jobs but they were done cheerfully and quickly. Thank you Scott and Dave! You make a difference!

I Robert Pollock at R J Pollock Concrete Service just did a concrete job for Scott Grant Plumbing and saw his work at 320 Nimitz Ave, Redwood City CA. He is great at what he does and is very responsible . I really would hire Scott Grant for any plumbing job I have. Great Guy !!!

I'd give these guys zero stars if Yelp allowed.
My tankless water heater stopped heating water, so I called Grant and Scott (the owner) spoke with me on the phone. He claimed that they were knowledgeable about these and could find the problem. Scott himself did NOT come to the job, instead he sent someone else. This guy clearly knew little to nothing about water heaters in general. He opened the unit looked around, pulled a tube and pretended he knew anything at all. After 15 minutes he got on the phone with Scott and spend a good 20 minutes or so on and off on the phone. Then he told me that the problem was the COMPUTER, but that I was better off fixing it. I asked for quotes and he ""called his supplier"" (later he contradicted himself and said he called Scott) and said they would get back to him shortly. Then he said: ""Well you have me hear for another 20 minutes as you pay for the hour, so let me poke around more"". 20 minutes precisely later, he asked me to pay the $120 of his ""inspection visit"" and promised me that I'd have a quote for fixing the unit as well as installing a new one within the day. It's been two days and I'm yet to hear back. I had a second plumber come by and within 15 minutes, he'd diagnosed the problem, showed it to me and the unit is working right now! Bottom line is, Grant just wants to collect money from plumbing visits as Scott and his team really don't have a clue of what they are doing (they can probably do easy things like unclog toilets).
tl; dl; Grant plumbing is going to try to cash money from you for no work, don't call them!

Having just sold a house and bought a new one, I have been dealing with many different service people. Scott stands out a one of the best - great communication (including email), prompt, efficient, knowledgable, personable, honest and practical. He helped me review plumbing items flagged in our home inspection report providing advice on which items were genuine issues worth addressing and which were not. He then took care of the remaining items. He also identified and corrected an improper fitting on our tankless water heater that resulted in greater flow and faster hot water. We will continue to rely on Grant Plumbing for our future needs.

I had a sewer line backup yesterday. Was lucky that Scott had a gap between jobs. he and his partner came within 20 mins. They quickly identified the problem and solved it very quickly and professionally. His price was very reasonable. I am very happy with his service. Will definitely use his service again in the future.

I recommend Scott highly. I found him on Yelp (tons of stellar reviews), after having a severe clog affecting the whole house. I left a message and right after that, I also contacted a friend to ask who they used for their recent remodel. By coincidence, they responded Grant Plumbing, and couldn't say enough good things. I told them I had just contacted him.
He had a new $800 snake and it broke in half while he was trying to unclog this pipe issue and he was so chill about it. I felt horrible. He spent a long time trying to get the clog fixed, but in the end, it was so severe, we needed a company with a heavy duty video camera. He recommended the company (Brandt Plumbing).
He felt bad that I also had other issues with the plumbing, due to a recent remodel that hadn't gone that well. He ended up charging me about 1/4 of what he should have, and he broke his new pricey piece of equipment, to boot.
I have used him since and he always responds immediately. Very honest, very good at what he does. Great prices. Nice guy.

Having experienced numerous plumbing issues in my home and my rental homes in the Bay Area for over two decades, I've had the dubious pleasure of interacting with many plumbers in the area. Some can be pretty unscrupulous operators.
My experience with Grant Plumbing however, was very professional and reaffirmed by faith in good honest plumbers. The blockage in my mainline was expertly resolved at a very reasonable cost. Thanks Miguel!
I also got an extremely competitive quote for an outside outlet to circumvent the awkward messy process, due to the plumbing construction of my house, which requires removing my toilet whenever I need to snake out the mainline.
