I did business with Grant while he as claiming to be a landscaper. He did the fence, the plan, the installation of the plants and installation of an irrigation system. My fence was never right and was improperly installed. It fell over several times in a short period of time and I had to sue him to get it done properly, by a real fencing company. The irrigation system was poorly planned and poorly installed, and when I ask irrigation companies to service it they always comment on how poorly it was planned out and executed. He had emphasized his ""great after service"" as his main selling point... which was a huge bad joke. This was years ago, and I would hope he has improved, but in light of the other reviews I see online here I would be very wary about working with him again.

Grant Johnson drainage is amazing! They came out the day we called to do a free estimate and diagnosed our basement flooding that had previously been looked at by several companies that didn't know what was wrong. They told us what to do to fix the problem ourselves to save us money and didn't charge for the assessment. These guys really know their stuff! Lots of experience, they are true engineers. I will highly recommend them to everyone I know!

Grant's crew did a great job insulating my crawl space and replacing the vapor barrier. The crew was very professional and respectful and took great care cleaning up after themselves. I would definitely use them again.

Grant has a great team of dedicated professionals. Ours was a very difficult and complex job and he and his lead foreman visited our house three times before the work began. I was impressed by Grant's knowledge and his reassurance that our crawlspace water issues would be solved. He's very much in demand but it was worth the wait. His team arrived as promised and remained on the job until the work was done - five days total. They even worked on the weekends. I was brought into the planning phase and even took the time to crawl under the house to see the work that had been done. It was a very difficult and unpleasant job but his workers were respectful of our property and took time to clean up after each day's work. I'm confident our water issues are now solved. I only wish I'd hired them 5 years ago. Grant is a really great guy and one that most will feel comfortable with immediately. I'd recommend Grant Johnson Drainage Company to all my friends. You'll be happy with the results. Farley Howell, Lake Oswego

Grant Johnson Drainage Company did a great job solving a water problem under our house! They knew exactly how to approach the problem, arrive at the right solution, showed up on the job as promised, and cleaned up at the end of the day to the point that you could not even tell they had been on the premises.

Grant's crew was professional, respectful and well-trained. Water remediation can be a difficult challenge, and they rose to the occasion.

We do not hesitate in recommending Grant Johnson Drainage Company to anybody who finds a need for their services. Our thanks to all of you for solving this problem!

Grant Johnson and his foreman Larry did an outstanding job in waterproofing my 2000 sf crawl space that had three inches of standing water and mud in many places. They installed perimeter French drains and well as connecting drain channels where needed. They covered the drains generously with drain rock and tied it all up with a sump pump. The recent rains have demonstrated that the plan works. Grant's bid was fair and a great value compared with the multiple bids that I obtained from other drainage solution companies. Grant was very helpful and available in answering my many questions.

Wow.....I wish I would of read these reviews before I got into this disastrous situation with Grant Johnson!!!!! I hired him to install a sump pump and should of listen to my gut feeling when I met him. He visited my home, gave a great speech about himself and proceeded to tell us that he doesn't advertise because his work spoke for itself and that he didn't need to spend lots of money on advertising. Was a little concerned about all the shortcuts he was willing to take, electrical, city approval for digging sump pump ditch, etc. and that he only showed up to receive payment. He was very suave at convincing us that he had worked for most of our neighbors in our community and that his work would pass any inspection. I had just come off of a very emotional loss in my family and was anxious to take care of some business with my house. I convinced myself he had to be a good person, stating he was a christian, etc., etc., etc., I felt I could put my trust into this man....me being a young girl that was very vulnerable, which I believe now he took advantage of. Several months later after the completion of this job....I called him with some questions....reasonable requests, if he could come out and do an assessment and answer my questions so that I can troubleshoot for myself in the future. He was very short with me and asked, ""didn't my worker tell you what you needed to know at the time about the job?"" I stated well, you do not always know what to ask at the time. He stated I was arguing with him and said if you wanted to talk any longer, it would cost a $95.00 service fee. He continued to tell me that was the final word and continued to yell at me....then he hung up on me. I so wish I wouldn't of rushed into this project, unfortunately, emotions and poor judgement on my part. I never want to speak with him again. The most rude, unprofessional man I have ever met. Such a reasonable request.....easily accomplished by a simple visit or a kind word. I am still so shocked I can not believe it! I will follow up with an inspector to make sure this job is by code and is safe for my home. I will hire someone else if I need follow up. The warranties I have under his contract, if needed will have my attorney contact him. Very disappointed in this human being.....how such a simple reasonable request went so wrong!!! :(

Verbally assaulted and made to feel like a homeless person in my own home. I had to politely ask Grant to leave my property. I had asked for him to comeback out to rebid the job minus his proposed elaborate drainage solution ($14k) and just bid pouring cement. After a back and forth on pushing drain system on me. Grant finally asked ""what is the dollar amount you looking?"" I had already told him were looking at paying $6-$7,000 for cement pour just run water away from the house. He replied ""Sounds like your just wasting my time"" and then looked at his minion and told him ""This guy is wasting my time and we got ""real"" customers waiting"". I said, Grant your right..you got real customers. Once again, Grant burst out ""Thanks for wasting my time"" I, felt as though his minion was going get in the mix and have physical altercation.Last time I checked, $6k-$7k cash wasn't wasting any persons time and sure not worth being humiliated, verbally abused, and feeling assaulted. I feel he was trying to pressure me into paying sonething I did not want. When, I refused to buy into his pressure tactic. Grant simply lost control. No, I will not be doing business with Grant Johnson's Drainage Company and a huge ""Warning"" to others. Unless you have intimate knowledge on how your project should go. Steer ""way"" clear of this soft spoken shyster.
