My landlord hired this company to come to both my house and his house on the same day. They came to my house first and cleaned the septic. My landlord was here but had to leave before he finished, but before he left, he told the guy his wife would pay for both jobs when he went to the second house. As I'm driving my wife to the hospital for surgery my kids call and say that the guy demanded to be paid immediately or he'd put everything back into the septic tank and he wasn't waiting around because he had 6 other jobs to do.
Being rude, demanding and freaking out kids is not a professional way to handle anything. He should've told the landlord he wasn't ok with that arrangement before the landlord left.

I called my regular plumber first thing on a Monday morning when I had a main drain clog. They couldn't schedule me until the end of the week and told me a snake would be $800. I called Granite State Sewer and drain, got a quote that was hundreds less, and they were at my house within a couple hours. Shaun and Tom were very friendly and helpful, explaining and showing me what and why they needed to do certain things to correct a bad sewer line and clog. They needed to return the next morning to correct a defect in the system. They were there promptly at 8:30 am and by the time they were done, I paid a fair price for the entire job. (In fact comparable to the plumber was going to charge me for a snake alone) They've shot straight to the top of my list for septic needs. I recommend them highly!

Excellent service from Shaun who came to my house to fix my clogged kitchen sink line. As a home owner it's nice to deal with a company who is honest and doesn't gouge you. Highly recommended.

The rep was more than hour and a half late - and I didn't receive a call until more than an hour after the scheduled start time to let me know that he was going to be late.

Then, the rep was astonishingly rude to me after the job was completed.

I strongly urge you to use someone else.

Not impressed. We purchased a home a few months ago and we ended up with a clog in the sewer line and Granite State Sewer sent someone over to help unclog it (I will refer to him as ""S""). ""S"" told me 1) our main septic tank was ""infested"" with roots and will likely need to be replaced and 2) our finished basement bathroom toilet and sink weren't draining to the septic tank (he insinuated that it was draining to a dry well [which is illegal for a toilet]). ""S"" offered no help trying to figure out where the toilet was draining to and basically told me to Google leach field companies and see if they could help. He also suggested I call the office and speak with Lee. So I spoke with Lee and he said he'd talk to the ""S"" and get back to me - he never did.

So we called Kent Septic, who inspected our tank before we purchased the home, and 1) the main septic tank was NOT infested with roots and DOES NOT need to be replaced despite what ""S"" said. And 2) when I told them that the toilet wasn't draining to the septic tank they immediately grabbed tools out of their vehicles and started probing for the second tank. They went as far as using a flushable probe so they could track it and see where it ended up. Finally Kent's team found the second septic tank for us (which we didn't know about since it was never disclosed to us by the seller). I didn't even have to ask them to do it - they just offered to and didn't even charge me for their time to find it! Yet neither ""S"" nor Lee even offered any assistance in helping us determine where the toilet was draining to.

Needless to say I will not be calling Granite State Sewer anytime soon. We basically paid them $380 to scare us into believing that we needed a new septic tank ($$$$$$) and that our toilet was hooked up (illegally) to a dry well, while offering zero help trying to find out what was really going on. Meanwhile Kent's team went above and beyond what we brought them in to do, helped us discover the second tank, and will help us resolve the issues related to it.

While they did clear my clogged main drain, they took it upon themselves to do some extra (unneeded) work. After the work was done they claimed they needed to create an access to the drainage system and had to cut an opening, so they did so, then charged us for both the cutting and the rubber cover piece. It just so happens they made the cut just above the T fitting where the clean out plug was. I guess opening the clean out plug was just not an option. While I have no problem with paying well for a job well done I detest people/business that defraud it's customers.

The folks at Granite State Sewer & Drain Cleaning have gotten us out of multiple jams now. Just last week they diverted their trucks to help us resolve a septic system that was backing up in the yard when some of the other reliable local companies put us off for days. They came same day, pumped and inspected the system, found a crushed pipe, and replaced it on the spot.
I've seen some folks complain about their prices, but they have always been fair and responsive with me. From now on, I will always recommend Granite State Sewer without second thought - they are up front about the prices and will get the job done.

Granite State Sewer came out and steam jetted (hot water pressure) our sewage line which was clogged up with grease (built up over 50 years). They were prompt and professional. After the service and paying them $500, I found out the line still had grease in it. The sewage line was only partially cleaned out by them. I'm a working mother with three small kids and didn't get a chance to call them back until a month later. Their response: ""We can't give you a partial refund and we can't re-do the job.""
I felt extremely defeated and taken advantage of.
