after a complete failure by the seller/owner of another company I called GC.
Had quick service at a reasonable price. (first repair part was under warranty) Part was ordered from manufacturer and of course was on back order)
Not to worry, as opposed to waiting with no A/C the jumper harness was repaired. and got us thru the summer. When the correct part finally came in took two tries from the manufacturer, we did a service at the time, and I signed up for a yearly service. One summer and one winter. well worth the charge and saved a little by signing up for both.
I've had the winter service now and going to get another yearly. next thing get a quote for chair height toilets.
Would highly recommend Grand Canyon for HVAC.

In August of 2011 I hired Nick to install an ac unit in a home that I purchased. This was a foreclosure, not a traditional sell, so the home was unoccupied for quite some time. I closed on 8/19/2011, and the install was set for 8/21/2011. Where Rachel is getting July from, is beyond me... Considering I have every email conversation from Nick including a copy of all paperwork given to me, and nothing is from July, not even the quote.

Anyway, I should have a 10 year warranty on my compressor, and I was told from a different ac company that I have a crack in the piping, so I will need a new unit. When I was asked the install date, I was told to return to Grand Canyon, as the compressor should be under warranty if I don't want to purchase a new unit.

I called Rachel on Friday (8/6) and she said she would call me that following Monday. I did not get a call back until early afternoon on Tuesday. Rachel tells me that #1 my unit was never registered, so it only recieved a 5 year warranty. I was NEVER told in person OR in writing that I needed to register the install myself to extend it to 10 years. And #2 even if I did register, the warranty expired last month in July.

How could something expire a month before it was even installed? I never even began contacting Nick until August of 2011. How would I know to register something that someone else purchased and installed? Would that not be the responsibility of the owner of the company? Or at least the responsibility of the company to relay that information?

I have 2 AC units, and one was replaced 2 years ago. This situation made me call the company who installed the 2nd unit, and I asked if I needed to register the unit they installed. They said NO, they do that on my behalf... And that they've never heard of a company who had the client do it unless it was a self install.

Rachel was USELESS in trying to help. All she kept doing was repeating herself saying that it was never registered (and I kept saying I wasn't told I needed to register) and that even if I did register, it expired last month... Even though I was not only not living in this house, and Nick was not even a thought in my mind to hire in July of 2011.

They are prompt, courteous & professional.
The young man who came to our house was honest & only wanted to do what was the most affordable for us and didn't want me to have to explain all the complexities to my husband & end up in a row. That was so kind & patient if him.
Also, be had to order a part but got our A/C up & running until it came in and altho I forgot to be here (the whole appt actually) they treated me kindly & we got it all figured out.
I'd use them again (and will) in the future.
