Grabow Plumbing has caused 2 separate huge floods in my basement with resultant significant major damage to my property. The first time, we were gutting and renovating the main level of the house which included the kitchen. They removed the kitchen sink and alledgedly disconnected and turned off the water supply. Wrong!-- They did not completely turn off the supply and it dripped down into our basement storage area for 24 hours before it was discovered. The cost of the damage and clean-up was paid for by the general contractor who had hired them as a sub, though some things like photographs were irreplaceable. I forgave them for that one (Why I don't know!) feeling that anyone could make an error and I liked them as people. I had them do several small jobs in the interim without a problem. Several years later we began having a problem with our reverse osmosis water system they had installed during the kitchen renovation and a leak from the instant hot water. It turns out the system had never worked correctly from the beginning (we never understood why it didn't ever have enough pressure) and they came out to fix it and install a different filtering system. It took 4 visits to get this completed. On the final visit when they hooked it all back up and turned everything on a ""small"" leak was noted that they felt was self-contained. By that afternoon, our finished area of the basement had been flooded and we had a thoroughly saturated carpet, pad, etc. Needed Servicemaster to come out and take care of the damage, remove carpet and padding, apply chemicals to avoid bacterial and mold contamination etc. The present estimate for repair is ~$18,000.00! Grabow is disavowing any responsibility yet they can give me no plausible explanation for the leak which occurred right after they got here and emanated from the area they were working and resolved after I called them back and they came out the second time that day. I have spoken with them directly by phone and in person, by email and text. They will not stand up and take responsibility yet, again, cannot offer any plausible explanation for what happened. Because of my high deductible ($10,000) and the jump in already too high rates, I did not want to put this in as a claim, but I now have no choice and will have to pursue legal options. They then sent me a bill for $1500.00! I would NEVER use them again under any circumstances.

We used Grabow Plumbing when we remodeled our kitchen and then again we we did the bath. We then used then to install a new water heater and and a new laundry tub. Whenever we need plumbing work they are our first call. Customer service, the work, and the prices have always been great.

Grabow was wonderful! They came in after a botched job by another company. They were so nice and professional. They quickly fixed the problem and a fraction of what the other company had told me.
