I called at 8 am and was told a technician would be in touch but they didn't say when. Called back at 1 pm . Finally called another company at 5:30, they scheduled an appointment for within 2 hours. Cancelled GR. Won't call again.

Called to check on costs for Hydro jetting - the person on the other end of the phone repeated it back to me as HydroGenics. I asked again if they have their own trucks and variable pressure for hydro jetting - again she didn't know what it was. I then told her that the word hydro jetting is written on their front page of their website. I asked her if she knew what it was and she said she did not.
I would never allow anyone in pipes with a powerful hydrojet that didn't know what the services is called or what it does....yikes!

Art actually showed up for free estimate but never got back after several calls. If you are a Vet or AOA or AAGLA, or ask for the advertised price, Good Luck....

Art confidently said he was coming ""between 9-11am"" the next day. He never showed up. If you dig into the reviews (not using the default Yelp sort) you'll discover this is a pattern with him. About 15-20% of reviewers have pointed this out.

I don't think anyone has ever explained to this guy that other people's time is valuable too. (Yes, I get that things happen, but it's 2018. Don't manage your calendar by text. Use your phone if you're late or need to cancel. Don't accept business that you cannot handle. This is what adults do.)

Anyways, if you're willing to gamble with a morning of your time, give the guy a call. I cannot speak to his competence as a plumber.

One other thing I will point out. A large number of the Google reviews for GR Plumbing are created by users who have only ever written one review. Again, with Google Reviews, don't rely on the default sort. A good way to understand this is by Googling a popular restaurant - say ""Silver Lake Ramen"" - and you will see what a bunch of legit reviews look like. There are virtually no reviewers who've only ever written one review.

I also could not find an Angie's List profile for this company.

I had a party on St. Patricks day and my toilet broke around 8PM. None of the major companies or ""24hr plumbers"" could come out until the next day. Finally, at 9PM I called Art at GR Plumbing. And thank god. He was at my place by 9:30 and out the door by 9:45. NO JOKE. He was thorough (had me send pics in advance) and also explained everything to me after so that I knew what had happened and how he fixed it. And he is beyond FAIR. Art charged me considerably less that the original quote because, in his words, he ""really didn't have to do much"". Sure, he fixed it in less than fifteen minutes, but I went from a broken toilet to a working toilet, so he could have charged full price and it still would have been a deal. I think that kind of character is RARE and should be rewarded. I've never left a yelp review before, but I was so moved by his service that I signed up for an account today just to leave this review. If you are in LA and need a plumber, this is the guy. Thank you Art!!

Art showed up to a party I was at on St Patrick's Day when the toilet broke. He fixed it so quick and easy he refused to charge my friend for the work. What a guy! We were all so stoked at the gesture.

They did an excellent job. Fixed a broken clay sewer line with a special high tech sleeve. All in two days. Fast n reliable!

With GR Plumbing you are sure to get top quality work at a very competitive price. They were so friendly and hard working that I was actually sad when the job was completed and they had to leave for their next job .

I named them the A Team because their work was so awesome and very professional. The team, led by Gonsalo, included master plumber George along with David and Julio. They worked very hard and very fast.

The work they did consisted of putting in a new trenchless main sewer line, replacing all the ancient cast iron pipes under the house and replacing all the other pipes and sewer lines that they determined were in need of replacement. They had to dig a hole 11 feet deep in order to connect the new sewer line to the city sewer line. This was a lot of work but they accomplished this task with ease.

When GR Plumbing completes all the work that is in need of repair, you can be assured that all your plumbing problems will be ancient history. When all the work was completed, everything was cleaned up and all the old pipes were hauled away.The job even came with a 25 year warranty on the new sewer line.

I highly recommend GR plumbing because they are extremely professional and do top quality work.

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience, or no experience at all bc Art never showed up for my appointment or contact me to let me know he wasn't able to come. Originally I had an appointment the day before, but he had to reschedule that appointment. I don't think I would have been alerted to this if I had not called to confirm he was coming. Initially he was very courteous and on it, but something went wrong somewhere. It happens I suppose, but it was very frustrating and disappointing.
