The gas control valve on our old water heater stopped working and we quickly determined that, given the age of the water heater it wasn't worth repairing. After calling around to see who was available, GPS was able to get the replacement installed the next day and at a competitive price. Mike was there on schedule and worked quickly to get the new water heater and expansion tank installed.

It worked fine for a few minutes, but as soon anyone tried to take a bath or shower, the hot water supply became intermittent. Closer inspection revealed that the hot and cold connections to the water heater were reversed. I sent Mike a text with a picture of the connections and in about two minutes he was calling to apologize and ask when next I'd be available to let him in to fix it. Later that same afternoon, he was there and had it fixed a few minutes later.

There are plenty of reasons for this to have happened. Our house's plumbing is a little unconventional in it's layout and I'm guessing it was done by someone new to or (more probably) outside of the trade. Also, our old water heater was a type where on installation, the dip tube can be moved from one side to the other and it probably was, resulting in the hot and cold being mislabeled. Mike did not mention any of this or make any other excuses. He seemed genuinely embarrassed that it happened and just wanted to make it right, and he did.

Having had what I believe was a rare opportunity to see what happens when something goes wrong, I've a greater appreciation for the skill and integrity of Mike at GPS plumbing and would not hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to anyone in the area who needs plumbing services.

We had a leak from our Moen faucet for the bath/shower last night. We are on our private well system and have to shut down our system when there is a leak. We first tried to fix it ourselves but really had no clue. We called several Plumbing companies, none of which could come out for a fix.
GPS had no one that could come out either, however the person I spoke with was a great help and talked us through the repair, telling us the part we needed to replace, and how to do it. After a quick trip to Lowes before they closed at 10pm for the part enabled us to fix the leak. We were able to get our water system back up and running. We are very grateful for the time he took to walk us through the repair. I highly recommend GPS and will use them in the future for any plumbing needs we have in the future.

Gotta say I've used them a few times over the last 8 years and this last Saturday my 8 year old water heater didn't heat up as hot as usual. Now I understand that Plumbers are busy but he showed up on Monday. A few hours later my water heater was starting to heat up my 119 gallons of water. I've found my plumbing company and am very happy with the service I've received since August 2012.

Had a water leak between the meter and the house. Mike came out to take a look and, unfortunately, told us the best course of action would be to replace the line. The existing line was 45 years old. He said if we repaired it, it would most likely find the next weakest spot and we would be doing another repair. Decided a new line was the way to go, so as not to have to worry about it again. Mike had another company come out and install the new line. He hooked it up to the house and relocated the shutoff valve to an area inside the house (it was under the house in the crawlspace, for some weird reason). Mike did an excellent job, explained everything and completed the job, all in one day. Would definitely recommend!

Mike at GPS is the only plumber we trust and he knows his stuff. We've hired him to do house replumbs twice now. Most recent was replacing and relocating plumbing in an ""interesting"" 100 year old house. He was able to design a workable solution around skinny walls, low ceilings, electrical and such. His bid came in 25% lower than a larger local plumbing company and we are very pleased with the outcome which only took 4 days. Mike is trustworthy, hardworking, and reliable.

Mike and his crew at GPS Plumbing are our go to plumbers. We have used him for years. Mike has replaced a hot water heater, replaced a sump pump, fixed a leaky toilet drain pipe, and other general plumbing repairs over the years. They show up on time, do the job right the first time, and cleans up when they are done. We are just finishing building a home and asked GPS to come by and finish up our plumbing so we could get our final plumbing inspection. Not only did they get everything done perfectly, they took the time to fix some of the mistakes the plumber who did the rough plumbing had made. If you have a plumbing issue, call GPS!!

I'd Mike from GPS plumbing remove my old toilet and install a new one.

The installation and removal was quite smooth and he seemed knowledgeable. I found his charges quite expensive and given his charges I would expect a flawless job but he forgot to dispose the lid of the old toilet. Now it's a pain for us to dispose it off. His labor was more than what the toilet cost me and it was a Toto - so it was no cheap toilet.

End of the day I didn't feel I got my bang for the buck. One could say that a well installed toilet is a reward in itself but given that I'm a value-conscious individual, it wasn't sufficient for me.
