Mike was amazing! We had an emergency pipe issue with water leaking and he was able to help us right away. He was thorough, kind, and fantastic to work with. We will absolutely be calling Mike for all of our future plumbing needs. Thanks for rescuing us, Mike!
Cheryl F.On 10/22/19 I submitted a service request for work on my propane boiler thru his website, including all pertinent info (brand, year of mfg, service type symptoms etc.). I also specifically requested a boiler tune up since I was unsure when it had been done last - having moved into the house within a couple of years. I was impressed because he responded quickly. We set up an appt for 11/1 so he could come out and take a look.
He came over 8 AM the morning of 11/1, tried to light the boiler, diagnosed it as needing a new thermocouple (which is usually done on a tune-up as I had requested), then had to ""go get parts"". Hu? Why would you not have a thermocouple with you? Okay, he goes to the local hardware store and calls me to say neither they nor tractor Supply have it. He will continue looking. at 1:30 PM I call to see if there is progress - nope, he went to another job (which I get, really I do). Later he left me a message that he would need to get ahold of the mfg to see if they could find parts.
11 days later, I hadn't heard from him, so I texted to see if he had any progress. Crickets, more crickets, and even more crickets.
The sad part is that he is recommended by Peerless (the mfg of my boiler), and a home improvement website. But I had to call someone else out to fix my boiler (and that guy had a thermocouple on him, which was all it needed).
I gave him 1 star for responding to my request and the second star because he actually did make it to my place and it was on time.
Used for fixing what ended up being a leaky washing machine hookup.
Very prompt service, polite and clear with what he would do and charge. I would give 5 stars but he is pretty pricey based on my experience with plumbers and other service folks. I was fine with paying because I needed to fix the leak ASAP and he was able to show up immediately. He is on the list of potentials for planned projects but his rate is steep IMO. Sorry, Steve, but you're pricey. :-)
Diana M.He was referred from a service. Polite, early. I asked for a tub to be unclogged and caulked. He told me over the phone it is $95/hr and it should take well under an hour. OK. He said it would be best to temporarily move the toilet. Fine. I agreed several times but he was hoping to find another way. While trying another option he noticed a problem. It was an accurate assessment but I had not originally included it as I am fairly broke and needed to prioritize. It took less than 10 min for that and 2 days later when I ran it the problem was not solved! The drain was not unclogged and the caulking never happened. I spent more than was bargained for and nothing, was fixed. It's OK though, he offered to come back for more $$$. Sad, humiliated and angry.
Jairo R.So I called Michael Rosander from pipesMA.com and ""Gotme Under Pressure"" @ 603-396-114 to repair a Roof Vent Pipe (RVP) leak. He stopped by to assess the work he would need to perform, at an hourly rate of 95 dollars. He scheduled me for the following day.
The next day, we get to work on the problem. He set up his ladder and assesses what needed to be done. He mentioned that someone else already had tried fixing it and they used wrong caulk (it was a clear one). He mentioned they should have used black roof caulk and that I would no€™t need to replace the RVP flange. He added his own caulk and called it a day. I asked him if the caulk he added would hold. He read me the caulk instructions saying it is for roof leaks, etc. He charged me $225 for caulking the leaking flange.
A few weeks later and big storm hits. I go and check if there i€™s any leak and the leak was still there. I called Mike back asking if he could fix it. He mentioned that he would charge me again. I asked if he did no€™t warranty his work; since I am already down $225 and the problem still there after a few weeks. Mike said there i€™s no warranty. He needs to charge for his time.
I almost give him five stars review because his personality; but thanks God, I waiting to make sure the work was done right. Michael does not stand behind his work, so I would not hire him. See their BBB rating.
