In May 2024, my Hot Water heater had the burner going out. I had the part from Whirlpool. The first plumber I called never called back. I called Goodman and 2 technicians came out. One was the owner's son. All I needed was the Old burner assy taken out and the New one put in. The guys sat in the truck for awhile and I am assuming called the Office to see how much to charge me.
They gave me an estimate of $380.00 !!!!!!!
I told them to go ahead and change the part out as the heater was having to be reset too many times and did not want to wait for it to go out completely or wait for more estimates. It took 1 technician about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to take old burner out, he then cleaned the bottom out and put in the New unit. Other technician just stood by. I think they were way out of line charging me that much since I already had the part and it didn't take that long to replace. There is also another Goodman Plbg that does a lot more but they are out of Pa. with the same info on their web site as the one from LaPorte. Told the Office girl that since the other site even had dollars off on different jobs. The web site has not been changed.
Not a Happy Camper. I will never call them again or refer anyone to them.

I can't believe you are so expensive. Changed out a fill value in a toilet. Nothing more than a teck could do. We're not all from Chicago.

I will never make the mistake of calling Goodman Plumbing again. My sewage ejector pump in my basement went out while I was out of town. Called on Monday and they came out on Wednesday. They replaced the pump and check valve and charged me $1723.04. I was given a 12% discount for signing up for their Goodman Family Plan for $12.00/month. The Liberty pump ""model LE41AV"" can be purchased for $591.00 at Grainger. They charged me $1580.00 for the pump. The Quiet Check Valve manufactured by Zoeller can be purchased at Grainger for $44.23. They charged me $378.00 for a plastic check valve. I called and questioned the price of the check valve and was given a line of BS that the products they buy are of a better quality than what I can purchase. I contacted Zoeller and there's no difference in the check valve they supplied and the one I can buy.

Requested a quote for lots of miscellaneous repairs and installs. Customer service was very friendly and professional. Quick to schedule a service call for a quote, which would be at the end of their work day. The office even called me to tell the technician was enroute. The technician was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. He spent a good amount of time looking at what we needed and answering our questions. We understood when he said he needed to work on the quote with the boss in the office the next day and we would receive an email with the quote the following day. He invited us to call him if we had any questions. It's been 9 days and we're still waiting for the quote. It's ok if they don't want to do the job, but it would be nice to communicate that to us.

Had received a quote from another plumber for my cabin in Three Oaks. Thought it was somehwat high so decided to get a second quote before proceeding...so glad I did! Not only was Goodman lower but my experience from initial call to on-site completion was top-notch on all. Nick (owner) took time to explain the issues and even though they ran into an unexpected on-site issue (I actually had a 120v water heater versus a 220v), he was able to pivot immediately and get a new unit in and install it the very next morning in time for guests arriving following day. Could not recommend this company enough - just an honest, efficient, professional small business that always make sure they have a happy and satisifed customer whatever it takes. Thanks to Goodman team and will be recommending you to all the other owners at Lakeside Cabins!

I've been using Goodman Plumbing for years, and their service has been exceptional. They are always quick to return your calls and have responded quickly for emergencies. All the work they've done for me has been great, from repairs to installing new fixtures. The owner has came out on multiple occassions and did a lot of the work himself. He never tries to sell you something you don't need, rather does his research to find our what the best decision is for each individual customer. Highly recommend them for all your Plumbing needs!
