Company Overview

Plumbers in Andersonville Chicago rank among the best plumbing services across Chicago. Our commitment is to make the area improved from we found it.

I have been in the trade of plumbing since the year 1993. During my time with a small, dedicated service provider that remains successful today. The owner shared a wealth of expertise about antique plumbing setups and challenging problems. This experience passed down to me.

Later, I collaborated with a high-end plumbing firm, setting up systems and devices in multi-million dollar properties. I also had the chance to work for one of the most established service providers in Arizona, gaining insights from a true innovator and top-notch plumbing professionals in the field.

I attended the Building and Fire Code training as well as contractor education programs for formal learning in the plumbing trade. I remain committed to educate myself and my employees on the most current methods and technologies in our industry. Feel free to call if you have any inquiries about our services.

NEW UPDATE: Exactly one year later, this ceiling leak returned. After I posted my critical review, the owner Michael reached out to me directly, to rectify this problem. They offered two solutions, both of which took into account how much we paid for the initial work.

We chose to have it corrected as part of their warranty program - at no cost to us! This was a large job that required two Plumbers, for several hours, yet it was all covered under warranty!! This was very much appreciated and I can't thank them enough for that. Also, their Manager Jake did a great job accommodating our unique situation. I still highly recommend Goode Plumbing for any large Condo Building projects.

Tl;dr: DO NOT USE GOODE. This company was dishonest, misleading, horrible with communication, and jeopardized the sale of our home.

Our experience with this company was an absolute nightmare, and we want to share our experience so others can avoid making the same mistakes we did in trusting Goode.

We hired Goode to replace a flood control system while we were in the process of selling our house. Their quote was $2K higher than another bidder but we chose them for their reputation. They started the job the day before the home inspection and absolutely tore up our front yard and paver sidewalk. The existing flood control was to the side of the sidewalk, but the hole they dug was about 5 times larger and directly in front of our front steps. That hole remained there for over 5 weeks. Nothing was disclosed upfront about the destruction of the front yard and sidewalk, and we spent $900 repairing the damage they caused. They also told us on this first day that the manhole cover may be directly in the middle of our sidewalk. Even the guys digging the hole said this should have been explained to us. We battled with Goode for weeks and ultimately the cover was placed just to the side of the repaired sidewalk.

The project was then paused while we waited for the City to inspect the project and issue the permit. Finally we were told the permit was granted and the hole would be filled in, but only *after* an electrician came out to run a new line. Nothing about electric was disclosed to us previously and running a new line would require opening up drywall in our basement. We also had to coordinate separately with the electrician to make the appointment, and he was backed up so it took over a week for him to come to the property. When he finally came by, no one from Goode showed up to remove the cover over the giant hole so we had to wait another week for him to come by again. Ultimately the job turned out to be simple and we waited 3 weeks for the electrician to do a 1 hour job that required no access to the home.

In the meantime, in response to our buyers' concerns, we called Goode nearly daily to fill in the massive hole in our front yard. They finally said they could fill most of the hole while leaving an opening for the remaining electrical work.

After the hole was partially filled, guess who showed up at the property? The City, because Goode had not secured permits after all. This caused another delay while we waited to actually get the permit from the City. The City finally approved the permit on a Friday morning, when we were moving out of the property the following Tuesday morning. Goode refused to fill the hole until Monday, which meant the yard and sidewalk repair would need to be done after we'd moved out of the state. This ultimately worked out with the help of our realtor but was a giant pain in the neck and huge stressor in an already stressful situation.

But you know what Goode is timely about? Collecting its bill. The very next day after they finally filled the hole, while we were driving cross-country to our new house, Goode called asking for its payment. We explained how unhappy we were about the handling of the project and asked them to make it right. They ultimately reduced the cost by $500, which did not even cover the repair of the undisclosed yard and sidewalk damage. But our hands were tied as we needed to provide an invoice to our buyers before closing.

Bottom line: Goode is no good! Do not use them and if you do, be prepared for rampant miscommunication, dishonesty, and completely preventable delays.

I called Goode to replace an old pipe that supplied water to an outside faucet, but the ancient shut-off valve was situated above the electrical box in the basement. Goode of course recommended relocating the service pipe altogether, as well as a new shut off. The service rep came by the same day I called, and the installers were there later that same day to do the work. Both pleasant and professional guys, the work was done quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately one of the welds for the new pipe sprung a small leak, which I did not notice until the next morning. But when I called Goode, they had a crew back at my house within the hour, who fixed the problem. Good people to work with, and very responsive. I'd hire them again no question about it.

Highly recommend Goode Plumbing they are quick with responding and sending out a technician for an estimate! I had to reschedule and cancel a few times and they were so nice and made it easy to reschedule! I appreciate them and their amazing work.

This company was responsive and quick. They came to assess the work the same day I called for a quote and sent the plumbers to do the repairs later that day. However, the initial contact did try to upsell on two items that were unnecessary. They quote by the job not by the hour, so be aware that if you have a simple repair, you are likely to overpay. One repair took them 5 minutes and I paid over $300 for it. The part replaced cost about $16. The other repair took about 25 minutes and they charged me over $500, another simple repair with standard parts.

These guys are good for expediency but they are on the higher end of prices quoted (they were about $50 more per repair than another plumber who quoted via text with pictures but was not available for several days). Suggesting expensive but unnecessary work takes off a star as does the bombardment of texts and emails asking me to review them.

So they are good in a pinch but I can't say that I'm thrilled that I paid over $800 for 25 minutes work, and I am more than a little disturbed that they would have done costly unnecessary repairs if I hadn't been firm on saying no.

An honest company that will do great work and not take advantage of you. They have saved us tons of money already and as the condo board president, they will be getting all of our work from now on. Highly recommend! I've dealt with Alex who was wonderful and two guys today (I'm so sorry I didn't remember names) and all of them were knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommend

Our seemingly small plumbing problem was complicated. The faucets on our built-in whirlpool bath, which is enclosed in marble tiles, wouldn't turn on. Other plumbers couldn't suggest a remedy without first tearing down a wall. A friend recommended Goode, which in the end saved us a huge amount of time and money and aggravation. Goode's well qualified plumbers Adan and Henry quickly covered their shoes, and asked to shut off our water supply. Our building engineer located the hidden access and together moved furnishings and made our bathroom safe for work. Adan carefully, patiently studied our bathtub and explained the probable cause as well as a highly creative but effective remedy that no one else had considered. No walls or marble tile needed to be removed. Delicate faucet parts, walls, tiles remained intact. Adan and Henry drove to a special supply store to get parts for a beautiful, hard to replace faucet and thus completed the job that same day. At every step, Adan thoroughly explained our options and listened carefully to our needs. If Goode's prices sometimes seem high, as some reviewers noted, taken in this context, they seem like a bargain.

We had a clogged sink so I started making calls. Goode responded right away and had someone out almost immediately. Everything you'd want when you call for a repair. Brendan and his uncle were very polite and incredibly knowledgeable. They fixed the problem immediately and explains why it's happening. Gave me some time on how to improve flow going forward. I'll definitely keep this number handy.

Run and never call this company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked for a quote for a sink in November 2021 in my kitchen. Got a written estimate for around $470. I said thanks for the estimate and didn't use their service. I received an email Jan 3rd saying my account is past due and threatening legal action. I responded saying I never had the work done. Today I received a phone call saying my card was being charged!!!! Charged for work I never had done. Illegal practices. The better business bureau and city licensing are going to be notified. In addition, I made a police report regarding this theft. If anyone wants to see the email or hear the VM reach out to me. This company should be shut down.

Want to get a quick quote on a project? Go elsewhere. Wanted to understand how much it would cost me to replace a bathroom faucet. Gave them a call, was told me they will send someone to give me an estimate and it would cost me $150 just to get the estimate. Ridiculous .
