We woke up on a Saturday with a sewage smell in our basement. Low and behold, our ejector pump had failed, and the pit was full. I am a real estate broker in Chicago, and have worked with many different plumbing outfits over the years. My go to plumbing company was not able to dispatch a plumber until Monday morning. With this being the ejector pit filled with sewage, I preferred to not have to wait 2 days.

I called Goode Plumbing based on a referral from one of my colleagues. Within 1.5 hours, they had two plumbers at my home to assess, and quote out the project. I gave them the go-ahead, and within 20 minutes the work was underway. Now, I would definitely not say that the work was cheap, BUT they were extremely clean, quick, and beyond professional. They did exactly what they said they would do, disinfected the area after the work completion, and left without a trace of ever having been there! Was very pleased with their work overall. I would say they are a tad pricey, but over the years, I have learned time and again that you get what you pay for, and Goode Plumbing definitely delivered. I will gladly refer them out in the future to all my clients. Thanks for the quick work Goode!

Big fan of Goode. Are they expensive, yes, but you get what you pay for. I've had them out a few times now and felt the need to write a review to let others know what a great job they do.
My wife had Alex out a few weeks back when we found water coming through our bathroom ceiling. He quickly assessed the situation and provided a quote to our upstairs neighbor to fix the issue. The neighbors decided to have ""a friend"" do the work, but I wanted to be sure it was done right so I happily paid to have Alex back out to confirm the work. He spent almost an hour running diagnostics (basically spraying water everywhere in their shower) to confirm that the leak was taken care of. Then he took the time to answer additional questions I had about plumbing in my unit. Super nice guy and would definitely recommend him to anyone. Thanks Alex and thanks Goode.

$1,012 to replace kitchen sink drain pipes. (not the kitchen sink-- just the drain pipes).In 30 years of being a landlord I have never felt more robbed by a vendor. This was not an emergency job. I was out of town and after asking my tenant to work from home to meet the ""technician"" (as they call them) I didn't feel I could reschedule after getting the ridiculous quote. I expected these guys to be expensive but I would never have expected to pay over $1,000 for a two hour job that required maybe $50 in parts. Beware!

My rental property's 2-month old water heater wouldn't fire up so I called Goode to see if they can help me out. When I set up the appointment, Jeannette from their office got pretty detailed with my issues and other background information including make & model of my heater. At the set appointment time, the technicians, Alex & Tino showed up promptly on time, put on their shoe covers and got to work. Everything went downhill after that: I am not sure if both technicians don't know this model well or water heater in general. They had to FaceTime another technician to help them out step-by-step on various occasions. Wasn't the make & model provided when the appointment was set? After performed their ""level one diagnostic"" which costs $253, they came up with a $3,245 quote to rebuild/repair this 2-month old water heater & the result is not guaranteed when this very water heater costs $1,200 new from Home Depot?!?!?! The technician, Alex, was very eager to sell me their 1-year, 3-year & VIP membership in addition to a brand-new water heater for $4,400. The entire process feels more like a sales pitch than a repair or diagnosis. At that point, my best bet is to cut my losses, pay for the useless $253 ""level one diagnostic"" and move on.

I contacted Goode through Yelp, in tears of frustration after a nightmare experience with another plumber. It began as a clogged bathroom sink and after 5.5 hours yesterday he left us with a leaking sink. He came again this morning and worked another 3 hours and proclaimed that it cannot be fixed.
Enter JP from Goode, my hero, my angel of the day! JP wore shoe covers, listened to my story, looked at my sink and quoted me a price that made my eyes open wide. He felt certain he could complete it within 2 hours. I said DO IT!! And he was done in 90 minutes, no leaks, lifetime guarantee, and he cleaned up after himself.
Plus, he was a friendly, spiritual person who made interesting conversation.

This company is a joke and RIP off. Shop around. They try to sell you everything they see including a VIP member ship. Don't join or get any services done. Comcast has a better sales pitch than these guys. I got scammed out of some rodding work. Should have been 200 or so and I paid almost $700.

They quoted me $15,000 for a $1800 job that I got from other plumbers that came back from 3 other plumbers.

They charge $149 fee for high rise for parking and to provide a certificate of insurance for high rise building. They would not even give me an estimate for replacing 2 shut off valves under sink (seems pretty clear and common) without paying the $149. I'm disappointed and will look for a company that can estimate this simple job. It is pretty clear this would be a bait & switch once I'm on the hook for $149 and they are here, they can charge/gouge me whatever. To even get an estimate they charge $149. I have free parking for 30 min. Why can't I get an estimate? And I'm sorry but parking is not 149 and it does not cost that to provide a certificate of insurance. Very disappointed

Thank you for the response... but I sent plenty of pictures of what I need done. You should send someone at NC to give me a thorough estimate then since you say the $149 is for cost of doing work in the high rise. I'm sorry but that's better business then to force me to pay $149 for getting an estimate. Or based on my pictures and detailed description of work I need, I would think you could give me an estimate.
