Dave C.I'm writing this review from a very satisfied customer perspective - who recently spend a few thousand dollars with Goodberlet.
I've used them twice. The first time was in 2021 when we got our ducts cleaned. They were very thorough - ensuring all input and output ducts were clean and explaining the process. The second time was just the other day (Nov 2024). I wanted the ducts clean and set an appointment for 2 weeks out - BUT - then the furnace stopped working to I called for advice. They sent a technician out as soon as feasible (the next day) who did a thorough investigation and said that our furnace was 23 years old, and 8 years past it's expected ""lifetime"". I'd noticed that it wasn't heating our bedroom well anymore. He gave us the option to repair it, yet also said we could get a new furnace for about 3 times to cost it would take to repair and be more energy efficient. We sat down and discussed pros and cons with no pressure.
We ended up buying the new furnace - as they installed - they explained how to work it and what the differences would be. While they were coming, we looked into a more energy-efficient air conditioner as well - as ours was 28 years old and figured ""while they are here"". They took the time to explain the differences between 1996 technology and 2024 technology. By having them install both a new furnace, and new A/C, as well as clean the ducts - they were here for 10 hours - and wouldn't leave until they were sure everything was right - even though it was 7:45 at night when they finished and pitch dark out!
Afterwards, I needed a combined receipt, and I talked to Christine and she quickly got me what I needed.
Employment there is for whom they like. Unorganized, unprofessional. Office personnel making decisions from hundreds of miles away. No communication between employees and them. Only hear from one person of situations. Horrible place to work because you don't have a clue when they are done with you.
Our air conditioner was leaking Sunday evening. We called Goodberlet's answering service immediately knowing the upcoming days were going to be hot ones and being without air would be horrible. We had a phone call from the supervisor, Jason, within half an hour, setting up a time the next day to come out to fix it. He was very respectful, polite and helpful in explaining what he was doing as well as giving me tips on how I can help keep our unit running smoothly. I truly appreciated the great service as well as his integrity in keeping our charges to only what we needed.
These guys are the best in the area. They answer or call you back quickly, the guys come out the same day and the technicians are always top tier.
Runaway fast, hold your wallet and go quickly, they are huge rip offs! I bought a new high efficiency boiler and 3 years later the losers tried to sell me a new one... never calling them again!
I have used Goodberlet Services for a number of years and have never had an issue that wasn't resolved. Are they the lowest cost provider; probable not but you get what you pay for. My experiences have all been positive. There techs are the best; always explaining, never condescending and most of all they are confident in their work.
Lastly, one tech stands out ( but they are all great), Jason absolutely rocks.

On April 12, 2021 I called to have my furnace looked at and transformer replaced after having power issues in my home. The service tech insisted that I had a motherboard go bad (because the motherboard was not getting power) and that I should just replace the whole furnace. He left after 3 hours and said I would need to call him the next day to continue investigating for another service fee. He also stated that he didn't have any parts on his truck (He was informed that the transformer did not appear to be functioning when i called to schedule the appointment). A day later I bought a transformer from a different company and the furnace turned on as expected. Upon operating the furnace I found that the tech moved wires mounted to the thermostat causing the heat to turn on for every mode of operation (heating, cooling, fan). I suspect they wanted me to call them back out to flip wires around and pay them for fixing what they screwed up. The tech was absolutely useless and appeared to have no working electrical knowledge. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Within 8 minutes of calling the answering service, I received a call from Jason. An hour later, he called with his ETA. Then, once parked in my driveway, he called to say he arrived. He was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient with restoring heat to my home. Thank you for great service!

I have had a horrible experience with Goodberlet heating and cooling. They are liars, manipulators, and deceivers and they never stand by what they said they are going to do. I spoke with Rick as well as a C Parish and all they continue to do is lie. Now they make it my responsibility to cover the trenches in my yard even though I had a scheduled appointment for someone to come out and do it because that is what the company told me that they would do and I have been waiting MONTHS! Now Rick has no idea who I spoke with he says that lady doesn't even work for the company and he does not want to send anyone to put the dirt back in the trench holes that they dug. Even though I was promised that they would. They get your money then they lie they hide give excuses and they blame you for the reason that they won't come back to fix the problems.
