We've used Patrick's service a few times for the past several years. I've always been extremely happy with his work and reasonable prices. Some of our power went out and I didn't think he'd be able to come by to fix things for a couple of weeks, but he managed to get here within a few days to make the repair. Dependable and trustworthy! Lisle flooded again this past weekend. Needless to say finding a good plumber was difficult. Good Work was responsive and and available. Despite the challenges of a house with a wonky sump pump setup-Patrick powered through and set up a new sump pump with new check valve and pvc piping (yes it was missing all those things) and looked at the defunct water heater as well.
Reasonably priced and a pleasure to work with.
65$ service fee and 128$/hr labor. Will use again.

Patrick came out and fixed a ruptured supply pipe for us. It was located in a very hard to reach location. He was able to stop the leak, and re-route the line to a more accessible location for us. He was very responsive and polite.

I have been a client of Patrick's since 2009. He has done work for me on my house for both plumbing and electrical work. I also refer him to my elderly clients who need help in their homes. Patrick is clean, courteous of walking in the home wearing booties, and explains what he does to his clients. All the elderly clients of mine that have used him were extremely happy with him and I've been happy with the work he had done on my house. We built an addition to my house and he installed all the plumbing work recently in my master bathroom. He is definitely a Class A kind of guy.

Updated review: Still using Pat 3 years later! Called him out to replace a toilet and ceiling fan and fix other miscellaneous things around my condo while we were getting it ready to sell. He does stellar work & in minimal time. Also great that he's capable in electric so I didn't have to hire 2 separate companies.

We used him again for my father in laws store a month later, there was an issue with a smell coming from a drainage pipe, Pat had lots of great options to fix it. Highly recommend Goodwork plumbing!!

Good Work Plumbing and Electric did a marvelous job of upgrading and updating pipes and electric in my 1924 brick bungalow in West Chicago.

He removed and replaced old corroded galvanized steel pipe. The new copper runs are neat and tidy. Solder joints perfect. He replaced the hot water heater and installed frost free valves outside.

He redid our old fire hazard breaker box with new. He sorted out all kinds of double and triple upped circuits. We now feel safe and secure knowing that this old house is up to code.

He showed when scheduled and worked virtually without stopping until finished.

I needed someone to hook up a new spa. I used to have a spa with 60 AMP service a few years ago and wiring (disconnected from the Circuit panel)) run to near the new spa which required 40 AMP service.

Patrick told me I needed to replace the 60 AMP breaker with a 40 AMP. I texted him a photo, explained it was a Siemens breaker box and asked him to pick one up on his drive to my house (Glenbard Electric was on his way and he would know what to ask for). Instead he showed at my house, up looked at the wiring outside and left to go shopping - I'm guessing he showed up first so he could start his billing clock.
After an hour or so of shopping, he returned and examined the breaker box then declared the work too difficult - he would need to cut away my wall where it joins to the ceiling. I asked if he would reassemble the wall that he felt he needed to cut away. Patrick explained that he was an electrician, not a carpenter and it would be my responsibility to patch up my wall/ceiling. I explained that I did not want to be left with a big ugly hole in my wall/ceiling to which he responded that I already had a big ugly hole in my wall. He explained that my job would take longer than he expected and a more important customer was waiting for him.
It was at this point that I asked him to leave.

$340 for a service call, 1+ hour for shopping, complaining and a 40 AMP GFCI breaker. Patrick completed no work but was quick to give me his invoice when I kicked him out.
I will never call this jerk again.

The upshot: I (a computer consultant) fixed the wiring that was too hard for Patrick:
I reset the junction box in the wall and restrung wires through conduit between the junction box and the circuit panel about 1 foot away. I did have to stand on a ladder and buy a fitting from Home Depot, but did not have to cut away the wall/ceiling. I bill my clients by the hour and have no problem paying for good service. However, I have little patience for someone who pads his bill and complains when the work is slightly more than trivial.

We call Patrick for our home and our business, Good Work is 2 in 1 plumbing and electrical contractor so he gets the job done. A really great guy, honest and thorough. He's help us and many others out of jams many times. I highly recommend Patrick when you need a good plumber or electrican.
