Eric is awesome. He is super friendly and works fast. I (unfortunately) used another company, due a family reference, and they did find exactly where my leak was. Their cost to repair seemed out of control high for what it was. Their reviews on Yelp reflect this as I swear they are in the business of selling leak detection and want to stray away from repairs. (I was losing close to 350 gallons a day). I called a few places I found on Yelp to shop around. Golden State had the highest review rating / number of reviews of all of them. Eric responded to my quote request within minutes, I emailed him my leak detection report from the other company, and he quoted me on the phone within minutes at an amazing price in comparison. (Considering the situation). He was honest but the risks and what could drive the price up once he started digging. Thank fully, this was not the case and the quote remained.

When he arrived, about 2 weeks later, he did a quick leak test to verify the other companies findings and started digging right away. He found the problem quickly, and fixed same day...we got lucky. Even though rain was in the forecast the following day, he still set new concrete which dried up OK before the rain. The rain left some streaks in the top layer, and he was immediate to respond to me to tell me that he'll be out once the rain stops to fix the concrete, no problem. I trust he will (scheduled for 2 days from now). I HIGHLY recommend Eric. I'll be calling him if I ever need anything, hopefully not a leak though!

We called Eric after finding significant amounts of water in our side yard by pool equipment and our pool was draining inches a day. Anxious about the amount of water loss, we were very happy he was able to come out the same day to assess the leak. He was prompt, upfront about his costs/services and quoted fair prices (we had called around the day prior). He worked tirelessly at finding the leak, came out in the rain and worked in the mud all afternoon. He identified a leak in our skimmer and it was repaired. We also had a difficult to find leak in a spa jet that was draining water to the opposite end of the yard, he even came out an additional day to confirm the leak and retest everything. Eric is very skilled, would call him again without a doubt. Honest, great at communicating and goes the extra mile to follow-up. Highly recommend!

Great job diagnosing and fixing my pool leak. Eric took his time, was very professional and made sure he was 100% sure he fixed the problem. We had used water savers before for the same problem and were not satisfied with the outcome of the job. Would definitely recommend using Golden State for all your pool nightmares!

I spoke with Eric about a pool heater issue. He was honest and said he didn't specialize in heater repair but gave me a referral. He called back a few minutes later after he did some on-line research with some additional, helpful info. Great customer service and I would absolutely use him for any type of pool leak!

I had a leak in my pool causing me to lose about an inch of water per day in the winter. I found Eric online and he was very courteous, and on time for his appointment. Eric does what it takes to help his clients solve their problems, even if it means coming out and fixing another leak after one was already taken care of. Had a very bad jacuzzi leak three weeks ago, had the same repair company from last pool leak performed a detection test, found the leak, but their repair price was so unreasonable and customer service was so ridiculous that I decide to search for a new and better repair company. I found Eric online, after reading the review here I decide to gave him a call. He sounded honest and reasonable on the phone, so I decide to meet him and hear his repair suggestions. He's such a nice guy, he's on time and he knows what he's talking about. I knew right away that he's the right person for the job. He's not the cheapest one among all that I interviewed, but he's probably the most honest. The cost is pretty reasonable, and he cleaned up very well. It's been three weeks, no more leak! Eric was all around amazing! On a Friday afternoon I looked out the window and discovered that the pool was down about 6 inches from the previous day. This seemed like an alarming rate so I wanted someone to come check it out ASAP. After placing calls to the big companies and either getting answering services or being told that no one could be here until Tuesday afternoon or possibly even Wednesday morning at the soonest I took to Yelp and discovered Golden State. Eric came first thing Monday morning and was done with the diagnosis and repair within an hour. The pool is looking great and hasn't lost any water since his repair. He is super knowledgeable- he gave me 2 probable locations of the leak when I told him how much it was losing and it ended up being one of those 2 locations. He was friendly and very honest. I have NO idea about pools and he probably could have sold me tons of repairs but he only did what was absolutely necessary (a little patch with some putty) and he was on his way. Thank you, Eric, for a job well done!

I have experienced various ""inspectors"" and ""detectors"" over the last months in working to fix and address problems in a few categories. By far, the most responsive, informative and friendly company I have worked with is Golden State Leak & Erik. He is thorough and detailed and knowledgeable. I wish he was able to service all of the needs we face in our home care & maintenance. His prices are fair, and you don't get the feeling he is in a complete rush to get to the next appointment. He took the time to go over each item and explain to us until we were clear. Great service, great company. I know my pool needs help....I know I will use Golden State!

Erik at Golden State Leak detection was great. I do property management and it is hard to find good pool and spa vendors. I found Erik on yelp and He went above and beyond my expectations to fix the spa and make sure I was happy with the services. After the initial repair, the spa seemed to continue leaking. Naturally, I was worried and upset but Erik offered to come back out and retest the entire spa with no additional charge. I was very impressed at his professionalism and going out of his way to make sure we are more than satisfied with the services. Our owner is happy and we now have a new spa and pool repair vendor we can trust and count on. We are already having him look into another repair for the same owner!
