Charges are unrealisitic even in the Vail Valley. I feel completely taken advantage of because I wasn't there in person, and they knew we wouldn't be. We were charged $160 just to get a quote. Then $1200 to fix a leaky faucet. I completely understand that the Vail Valley is expensive but this was the cost to ""replace the shower valve"" and ""assess the area in the room where the closet is"" (?? I don't know what this is, maybe to check for a water leak on the other side of the wall where the shower is). Either way, how are those two items $1200?...and didn't they do the ""assessing"" on the day that they charged the additional $160 for an estimate? $450 is for material, the rest is labor (2 guys for 3 hours). I asked about the materials charge and understand mark-up that is reasonable, he said that it was for the shower valve, pipe, caulking and beading (seriously? That's less than $100 at a home improvement store, even 100% mark up would only be $200). They would not provide details about how they got to the exact figure of $450. And, couldn't explain why no tax was added to the bill. I don't think this is a very honest company and do not advise others to use them.
