We had a pipe burst on Christmas Eve and were in need of a plumber. I called Gold Star and hung up when there wasn't an answer but they called right back! They had a plumber one town over who ended up at my house 10 minutes after I called dispatch.

Christian was great and explained everything that needed to be done. They will be back here in the spring to complete the fix but for now things are holding steady thanks to Christian's experise.

After Christian left, dispatch called to confirm we were happy with the work. They also sent us a pdf receipt to show what we were charged, Honesty? The prices were great and I do not understand the other reviews saying otherwise.

Get a second estimate before retaining Gold Star. Excessively expensive and they don't stand behind their work.

Stay Away--I called them for a simple AC repair-easy access-no materials, perhaps it would take, tops, 15 minutes. They were professional, service, time etc. But it appears that this borders on a scam, a very well polished procedure to screw the home owner.

The Tech came back after consulting in his truck, with 3 options. The least expensive, and totally obvious, was why i called them. It was $574 for 15 minutes work, and i paid the $79 service call. This works out to about $2400 per hour as a labor rate.
My advise, unless you pay in Yen, is to go elsewhere, any where else.

Broken pipes replacement. Expensive. I've been a long time customer. At times don't feel valued. We thought we liked Eric & Marc. However, Upon returning today from a hospital visit. My neighbor approached me to comment that I should not be doing business with Gold Star Plumbing because he overheard a conversation between both men. The comment was ""let's make the job expensive because it's work"" Maybe Eric & Marc we're not as nice as we thought after all. Definitely, will not call them again. How sad, after a relationship of more than 10 years.

I cannot give a good review to Goldstar. I purchased a boiler/oil burner a year ago this
past September. It has never worked properly. I cannot count the number of service calls! It is Saturday November 27, 2021; the temperature is 37 degrees, and there is No One available to contact at Goldstar!

This company's prices are insane 3-5 times higher than others. Their techs show up with basic tools and they try to up sell you. They wanted $580 to snake a sink clog (up to 25ft) and $800 for a tub leak (both estimates just from visual inspection) They tried to upsell me to $3000! All from a basic leak... I'll be printing out the invoice and showing it around for years.

Very responsive customer service desk and scheduling. The technician Scott arrived on time , was knowledgeable and very professional. He explained what was involved with the service and presented options. The reason for the 3 stars is the price and the quoted $149 dispatch fee on their website ""Our dispatch fee is $149 to come to your house and provide an estimate for the cost of the work. If you decide to move forward with our recommended repairs during your appointment, we will apply that $149 towards any repair costs."" was not applied to the final invoice.

Our toilet was leaking and was leaking through cracks in the bathroom tile floor into the kitchen underneath. The kitchen ceiling was opening up and dripping the water into the sink. The shower button that pushes in to start the shower popped out. The kitchen sink leaked water out of the faucet and dripped underneath the sink when turned on. We got a new shower system, brand new toilet and new sink faucet and pipping underneath; all for $2,800.00. Awesome price for all that replacement and work. They came 30 minutes after we called and did everything on that day in one day. They are my permanent plumbers. They are available 24/7.

We needed to replace our boiler, hot water service and HVAC system but were quoted astronomical prices (that we just could not afford) from several other businesses. Earlier this week our hot water system died completely, and we were faced with the dilemma of whether to replace it, or convert from oil to gas and upgrade everything. We decided to get one final quote before deciding on which company to use, and I'm so glad we did, because not only did we get a much cheaper price, we were met by true professionals who talked to us about the various options available, and listened to what we were asking instead of just trying to get the sale.
Their phone follow up, customer service and communication is exceptional, and they were very prompt with their service. We met with Luis on Wednesday afternoon, and by lunch time the next day, we had a brand new boiler, HVAC system and most importantly..., HOT WATER!!!!!! The following morning they arrived and had the arduous task of removing the oil tank. I must admit, I was a little nervous of the mess that they would create, but i need not have been, because they cleaned everything up before they left. I highly recommend Matt, Luis and the team, they truly live up to their name of Gold Star service! Thank you so much,

I have used this company for about a year now, and I can say that this is a company that take their job seriously. They do a great and thorough job, they are prompt when you call them, fully equipped with what they need for the job that you called them for, and I also like their telephone receptionist.
