Scary! I was charged for report not received only invoiced. The worked proposed required a permit yet they weren't going to pull one. Also, the work proposed may have violated HOA rules. They planned on ripping out the entire shower, which wasn't needed, and in addition didn't want to have a sub come in and take care of the work needed to put it back together. Reluctantly, they supplied a sub bid. However, after speaking with a general contractor, all this work was not necessary and would have been done incorrectly. I am so thankful I found a great general contractor who did the work correctly.

Tim and Jamie are my heroes! They do great work and not your typical plumbers by any stretch. Tim takes pride in his business and in his reputation as a small business owner. He and Jamie got me out of a jam under a very tight deadline.

I originally called a different plumber I found on Yelp but he clogged the drain even worse. When he struggled with it, he said he had to leave and couldn't come back till the next week.

I searched Yelp and immediately called Gold Coast. Tim answered and responded right away! My mom was coming home from the hospital the next day so I needed the shower fixed pronto. When Tim arrived and I mentioned my mom's health in conversation, he even recommended changing out the toilet in the bathroom to an ADA comfort height toilet after hearing how frail my mom was. He didn't push it on me, he just said it was something I might want to think about. I really appreciated that he was thinking of my mom's best interest. To my amazement, he was able to have Jamie pick up the order for 2 ADA toilets within 30 minutes. Jamie picked them up and installed them in no time and they fixed the shower drain clog - all in under about 90 minutes!! Jamie has the energy of a jack rabbit. Tim did a final inspection and cleaned the shower floor good as new after all the muck that came up from the clog. My mom never knew they were there!

On top of all that, Tim called me the next day just to make sure I was happy with the work they did. Who else does that? Tim and Jamie came to my rescue and they treated my parents' house as if it was their own. I'm very grateful. I live in San Diego, but I told my dad to definitely call Tim again if I he ever needs a plumber. I'll say it again - Gold Coast is far better than your typical plumbing company.

As much as I hate to do it, I'm going to have to give Gold Coast Plumbing FIVE stars. Last year, Jamie replaced our water heater at a very reasonable price. Now he's gone and fixed a shower drain that no one else seemed to be able to think through. And he replaced a valve stem in a leaky bathroom faucet in just a few minutes. He's reliable, quick, hard-working and very fair. The reason I hate to give this company yet another stellar review is because I'm afraid they're going to become too popular. If you use them, you'll be happy, but let's just keep this to ourselves. :)

Being new to an area, it's hard to find quality plumbers (or any service person) so I'm lucky I found Mark and Gold Coast. He returned my initial call quickly, was patient as a described our problem (sewer plumbing leak) over the phone, explained the solution very clearly after he inspected onsite, and was confident he could resolve our dilemma. Mark is very knowledgeable and answered our questions about maintenance without being pushy or trying to upsell. He works very quickly, is very clean (treats everything around him like it's his home) and charges fairly. I also appreciated his easy-going, respectful personality. My father is a retired contractor and has very high standard of workmanship. He also knows the costs of work and doesn't want to get ripped off. So finding a plumber that is up to his standards is difficult. We found this company by searching on yelp and got in contact with them. The owner, Mark, is very friendly. They were very quick to respond to our call. They had great service and quality workmanship. The price of the work was reasonable. My family thought so highly of their experience. We now use gold coast plumbing for all the work they need on rental properties because we know we can trust this company to provide excellent honest service.
We have had a faucet replaced, and had drains cleaned (roots grew into plumbing under house), and they are still great.

I checked Yelp before I called a plumber and when I found all 5 star reviews I called.
The owner came out for a clogged drain but showed me that my problem was a toilet that had built up mineral deposits. He set up an appointment to replace the toilet and didn't charge for the initial visit which he could have. It is nice to find an honest plumber service thanks to my fellow Yelpers. I took a few photos over the two visits so you could put a face to the name.

I found Gold Coast Plumbing on Yelp. After reading their reviews I called. Mark called me back within a hour. Jamie arrived at the exact time he said he would, he must be Swiss. Jamie did the work promptly and better than other plumbers I have used. The cost was what they said it would be with no additional charges. It was great to have people helping you do things the way the should be done. It is wonderful to find craftsmen who take pride in their work.

I've never written a review on Yelp and can't believe my first time will be about a plumbing service...
However, I also never imagined I could have such a fantastic experience with any service and/or handyman; plumbing or otherwise.
I can't say enough great things about Mark. He is professional and courteous. Even though he takes the time for your call or calls you back quickly, you assume he must be quite busy, (and deservingly so.) Regardless, he hustles to get to your home at his true earliest convenience.

Mark is extremely personable and really takes the time to explain the problem and the best remedy.

My son had flushed a wooden block down our toilet. Over the course of a couple weeks, we continued to have on-again, off-again issues with the bowl backing up. Not knowing better, I plunged the heck out of it. Apparently I did a fabulous job of wedging the block so tightly that Mark said in 30 years of business, he'd never had to replace a toilet. (btw, it was evident that this result was not for lack of skill or trying.)
I feel he gave us an amazing price for a superior toilet and all the hard work, patience and time he did that morning at our home.
Also, the following morning, my dad goofed putting in a bidet and had to shut-off the main water line. Slightly inconvenient with 2 kids to have no water.
Mark came over asap and quickly saved my dad. (for no cost.)

This past week my son flushed a toothbrush. This time, I called Mark at the first sign of trouble and didn't plunge.

When I checked Yelp for Plumbers I found Gold Coast. They had more reviews that any other plumbing business in the area and they were all positive. I called and asked for a free estimate. Mark the owner came and worked with my budget to give me a fair quote. He took his time and explained everything to me. I decided to hire him and he came back on another day to do the work. I was satisfied and felt valued as a customer. My last experience with a plumber who had solicited in the area was awful and a rip off. It is nice to find a company who is professional, fair and courteous. I would definitely recommend Gold Coast.
