Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing is a leader in the industry. We continue a tradition that began in 1939, when Gust and Adam Goettl created the first evaporative cooler and refrigerated AC unit in the Phoenix area to combat the extreme desert heat. Ken Goodrich, our CEO, manages the company after acquiring experience with Goettl units throughout his whole. Above is his background. We take pride in completing the job correctly the first go. Our highly skilled and constantly trained technicians offer a quality of service you cannot find anywhere else. Our technicians are certified by Sadie. If our standard doesn't approve them, we will not dispatch them to your property. We know AC like Goettl.
Coy Dayton started the HVAC business at a very early age, having earned a Master's License in HVAC at just 21 years old, the first person to achieve a Master's HVAC License in Texas at that time. Dayton A/C and Heating was created one customer at a time through hard work, honesty, and skillful service. Coy, Jessica, and their team share a passion to top-notch customer service and high-quality performance.

I have had this company out two times now and the $80 special has never applied to my situation. The first time I had something stuck in my garbage disposal and it took them 10 minutes to fix the problem and they charged me $190. The second time I had a clogged toilet and I had specific conversations with the office about the cost and they said it would be $80 for a 30 foot snake and when the technician came out. He said it would be $180 because it was a different type of snake for toilets. I feel their pricing and marketing is a scam.

My a/c started blowing warm air in the Texas Summer. Tech said I had a freon leak and recharged the unit, then said I had a freon blockage. By the time he left around 11pm, my a/c would kick on and immediately shut off, so he made it worse. They couldn't send another technician until 2 days later. 2nd tech thought it was a bad low voltage wire and rigged a temporary wire, but that did not fix anything. He disconnected this diagnostic box that helps the compressor run and said that was the problem. Eventually, came down to needing a new compressor. A few days later, techs came to install the compressor. A/C worked fine for 2 days and then started knocking and hissing. I had another company come out since Goettl could not get my a/c working after 3 visits. The other company said it was overcharged with too much freon and broke the brand new compressor. I had to go back to using Goettl to fix their mistake.
I finally got a manager there who took care of me. She was able to warranty out my condenser unit and get me a new one. She made sure I had senior technicians and supervisor on site. I was told I would get a credit for the $2600 paid to install the compressor, but still haven't seen that.
Now, before my a/c kicks on, the inside unit/furnace makes a weird noise, but they said the furnace was fine. I'm not sure I'm comfortable having them come back again.

I pay for Sadie Club monthly and have been coming to Goettl for years. I was pleased to hear they could send a plumber to look into my high water bill issue quickly. When the plumber called me today, he told me he found the issue-- flappers in three toilets. Simple, I thought! He quoted me a price which I felt was fair. It wasn't until I saw the number written after he sent it to me that I realized the actual number was 100x more than I thought because they charged me $300 per toilet for that test! Almost $900 to replace my flappers! I thought the number was literally in the tens of dollars and that the diagnostics were included in my Sadie Club but I was obviously wrong. How can they charge that much for something that took literally a few minutes? Then they tried to upcharge me for a $100/month hard water system to replace my own. I'm frustrated because I normally like Goettl. That is way too much money to pay for a service I thought I could do myself if I would have know it would cost $900. Nothing against the technician, but ashamed at my own naïveté and Goettl taking advantage of customers needing a service.

Three years ago, I hired Goettl to install four REME Halos, one in each of our four AC units. The entire process was a disaster. Now that I have worked with other AC companies, I understand many things. First of all, they charged me an arm and a leg (literally 3 times what another well-known company charged me). Second, it took them 6 visits to install them. First, they tried to install a different brand even though I specifically said REME Halos. I had to call them to have them come back and replace them with the proper ones. Second, they were falling out of the A/C units and had to come back to repair them. Now, almost three years later, I found out from another HVAC company that 3 of the 4 were not installed properly. You can see in the pictures that the pictures show the airflow is supposed to go a certain way, and they were not installed properly. It is clear that the company had no clue what they were doing. In addition, they never registered the REME Halos, so we were unable to get them repaired when they stopped working before the 3 years. The entire process turned me off from the company. Also, every time they said they were coming, it was almost 2 hours later that they arrived. I think technicians were coming from San Antonio. I had originally chosen Goettl because they purchased Dayton years ago, and I had been using them ever since I lived in Austin. I incorrectly assumed I would be getting the same level of service, but I was wrong. I had another friend who used them. They did a ton of damage to her AC vents, and then told her it would be $50,000 to fix it. Absurd. I would stay away from this company.

Jonathan came out and was both professional and knowledgeable. He gave me great advice as to how to avoid my plumbing issue and save money on future repairs. He is the plumber I will request next time I need Goettl. .

Bait and switch. I had an emergency water leak in side yard. I called and very nice guy on phone told me it would be $78 to come out waived if I did work or if I bought there 2-year contract would be free to come.
Needing AC summer maintenance anyway I signed up for plan was charged and first plumber came out.
Very nice plumber, but after finding leak, (my neighbor had turned off my water for me) told me didn't have correct size to fix it. Would have to keep water off until it was fixed, had meeting in morning but would be back between 12 and 3
At 3 I called because no one here. I was told I was on schedule for 1 to 5 and would receive text when plumber on his way 445 I call back and told plumber on his way and expected to arrive in 45 minutes. No text that plumber coming only a text asking me to rate them.
A different plumber shows up. But he got leak repaired and showed me part that was leaking. He gave me quote for his repair that was $200 more than the day before. I asked and he then went back and gave me prior days quote and I paid $926 after a 5% discount for being senior, told with contract was 10% but not going to quibble about that bill since he went with prior day's quote.
So, I call to get appointment for summer checkup and can't get appointment until September 16, forcing me to pay someone else to come sooner. I told them they shouldn't have sold me contract if they were unable to do summer maintenance.
But the topper is Sunday night I get a text I have a balanced owed (no amount mentioned) how did I want to pay.
I called today and got told I had a balance of 216 I think for leak detection.
I have a receipt for paid in full.
I'm so frustrated that I'm now stuck in a 2-year contract with this business. Plus, still waiting to hear about that mystery 216$
I gave 3 stars because leak was fixed. Hoping it was fixed correctly and holds up

Horrible experience. Called for an emergency situation which the intake took 20 min before I just hung up. How long have you lived in the house, how old is the house, how old are your units, can you go into the attic and do the following steps while constantly being reminded that she's not a technician. Neither am I and that's what I'm calling! If I knew what any of the stuff was that you were talking about was, I would've done it already. What does the age of my home or how long we've lived here matter?! Then even after I hung up, they still had the audacity to schedule without my consent and after we called another company who was able to dispatch after 5 min. Advice is to avoid at all costs

Beyond frustrated and disappointed. Used Dayton A/C until it was purchased by Goettl. After many repairs Goettl convinced us to purchase and install a brand new HVAC unit, over $16K in Sept of 2021. Since that install we've had the system stop or is unresponsive and had to have maintenance and repairs EIGHT times since Sept 2021. Repairs Oct '21, Nov '21, Dec '21, Jan '22, May '22, June '23, Aug '23, Sept '23. Woke up today with system completely off and unresponsive once again. Goettl not available for repairs until 5 days from now.
On another note, they had a "free consultation" for plumbing checks for our home in Feb '24. Paid $89 service fee for them to tell me I had rust in our pipes and needed a new $10k+ hot water heater. Followed up to schedule a water heater install SEVEN times into March without a response. Looked into other plumbing services and was quoted only $2,200 for THE SAME hot water heater replacement and install.
Completely unacceptable. Will NEVER use this company again. Years of unhappiness and money wasted.

We had work done by Goettl a few months ago, and part of their work included addition of sensors on our AC and water heater. One of those sensors got tripped yesterday and the team reached out to us immediately. Zach was dispatched within less than 24 hours, and yall, that man was so pleasant and kind, I wanted to invite him to stay for lunch so we could get our Golden Girls on.
Zach was super honest with me that he's a plumbing guy and after assessing himself, and over video with an AC tech, he felt it best to have another person come out.
Within an hour of Zach's departure, the office called to schedule Jarod who visited us less than 24 hours later.
Jarod man. He's got this long surfer style hair, super laid back, and a friendly handshake that says, "we can all be friends."
Jarod was quick, honest, and took great care of us.
I'm honestly impressed. I'm always willing to pay extra for a great experience, and customer service is so important to me. If you send someone to my house who will pet my dog, show me pictures of their kids, and drink a coffee with me in between all the business that needs to get done, I'm a happy lady. It just feels good to work with good people. These folks are good people!

AVOID!!!
I scheduled a service appointment and after confirming the appointment, I stayed home and waited for them to show up. They did not show up and instead rescheduled my service appointment for another time roughly 6 weeks later. When that date rolled around, I confirmed it with them the day before, then the same thing happened again! I stayed home and waited. They no showed, and then tried to reschedule me again. This time I told them no.
Do yourself and your community a favor, find a local contractor instead. Avoid this company.
