Very shady is all I will say. Tried to sell my wife on a $14,000 new unit which was their own brand not even a Trane or any other notable brand. Then when I started questioning it, the guy says that he can do the repair for $1000. After he had my wife do financing paperwork for a new unit and I started questioning it is when he decided to say that he could fix it for $1000. However, he did say that that thousand dollar fix might last six hours, six days, six weeks or six months; he doesn't know. I told him don't worry about it, we're going to see if the home warranty from the builder covers it because my neighbor said it does and all the sudden it turned into ""I will just do the repairs. Don't worry about paying any money. I'll even takeoff the service fee charge. Just don't leave a bad review."" Called in somebody else out $500 later the unit is fixed and running better than when it was first installed. And the other people who came in even said there was no way the unit would ever function because the pets the Goettl guy put in are for a commercial AC unit and NOT a residential unit.

We had our AC unit and heater replaced this summer the service for that was excellent . So we thought we call for a plumbing issue two appointments later no Tech . The first one was canceled because the techs were slammed with other calls so we rescheduled today from 4:00 to 8:00 we called them at 8:00 when they hadn't showed up they said he'll be there within the hour . Almost 9:30 I called them back told the tech was almost done at the other job will be just a little bit longer . I went ahead and rescheduled this appointment for tomorrow between 12:00 and 4:00 . If they don't show up tomorrow I will be calling another plumber to come out and fix the issue we have .

Several years ago we used this business to check on our AC that stopped working in July. The tech called a ""supervisor"" who was a salesperson who basically said we can fix it but there is no guarantee it will work and the parts won't be warrantied and to get a new unit. Of course they claim that the duct work our builder used was subpar and not the right size so we got sucked into spending a few grand on new duct work for the return that they could do easily. They claim they take pictures of everything in your attic but one can never tell if that is actually your unit unless you go into your attic to supervise. We got the new unit installed for $10K+ and the new unit made noises in the venting a supervisor came out and found nothing, meanwhile we still had noises that we could hear. At one of our semi annual checks we find out from the tech working on our unit the return duct work that we paid for was never done since he saw no traces of a change + the duct tubes were the same size not 2-4"" larger than we paid for (he measured them). That didn't sit well. We tried to bring it up with the office staff and got nowhere since they said it was done. Also when we had a tech out for an inspection they wanted to replace a part on the new unit for the heating because xxx was going bad. Funny we had never run the heater at that point other than it being tested by Goettl employees at the scheduled inspection as the area that unit services really doesn't get that cold in the winter. I'm sure it wouldn't have been covered under warranty and would have been $ despite the unit barely being over 1 year old! Next our water heater went out and we called them on a Monday morning and we were told that someone would be out that afternoon to do a replacement. Well that was a lie, a lady in a pickup truck pulls up obviously no water heater but a nice iPad full of hard sell to a tankless water heater that was around 10k with a new gas line since the size was different for a direct gas line to the tankless vs the tank water heater. A tank one was 4k+. PRESSURED AND ZERO PRIVACY to talk without the sales lady inches away we signed up. A few hours later after reading the digital contract we cancelled and went with a company recommended by our neighbor and spent $2500 for a tank water heater that was the same size as the $4k+ one from Goettl that was replaced the same day we called with an actual plumber not a salesperson who will suck you into a purchase and later send out the plumber. We now no longer trust Goettl and don't feel comfortable with them in our home and see several neighbors using them and feel bad they are getting scammed by the high rates and their sales people being sent out under the guise of a repair person. Not sure if the tech who alerted us of the duct not being upgraded as paid for but he is the ONLY person I trust from this company if he is still there. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere and save $. We finally got them to stop charging us the monthly fee that we had requested to be cancelled during COVID. How this company has so many 5* reviews is boggling after our 2 experiences of being scammed by this company. They charge more than other companies claiming they have a better pan for the AC and other stuff, but know it also goes towards their donations with a news channel for the 100º+ temperature challenge and the constant commercials they have on the radio and tv as those aren't free or cheap! Save yourself some money and the headache and go someplace else!

I've always had exemplary service through Goettl and highly recommend their services. I'm part of their Sadie Guard Dog Program and have someone check up on my home's plumbing once a year, and this year we had Dustin stop by. He was absolutely spectacular! So incredibly kind and personable. He fixed up the spots we were having problems with and we are so happy to continue working with Goettl for our plumbing needs.

Where do I begin? How does a gas control replacement on a water equate to a brand new or refurbished water heater? There are appliance repair stores in Las Vegas where a technician or technicians can go to buy replacement gas control valves. How do your technicians sleep at night knowing they up sold a 62 year old woman? There was no need for a water to be replaced. I will never recommend this company, EVER! Should be ashamed!

Just an update on my earlier review. I called Goettl again and they told me they were trying to reach the sub contractor to get pictures of the job so they could then schedule the repairs.
This is now many months later and still no call back from anyone .
Goettl Company cannot be trusted !
All they care about is getting paid . They have no loyalty to their customers and do poor workmanship on top of all the other bad qualities they possess .
Do not use them . There are much better options out there .

GO ELSEWHERE !!!

You can skip their ""maintenance"" contract. We've been cancelled twice and put at the end of the list on the 3rd attempt. Plus the girl was rude and unapologetic. They are worse than the proverbial Cable Company at keeping appointments and showing up on time. Skip these sales-motivated fools. Find a real HVAC and plumbing company with polite and on-time service.

Update: (Spoiler - it doesn't get any better) Time frame for ""maintenance service"" was 2-6pm. Showed up at 5:50pm. Poked around, took a lot of pictures, paid token attention to ""fixing"" a sink plunger (not fixed). After all said and done, we need a new water heater (ours is 5 yo), but they can't guarantee a new water heater unless we have a R/O system installed at $18 to $20 grand. This is not a service company, it is a sales company as in Sell, Sell, and Sell some more.

Oh, and Michael A.? I doubt there is such a person. Just a bot response.

Gottel air-conditioning just installed a new AC system in my home installers Adam and Ken did an excellent job and I would recommend them for their work very courteous , professional helpful with the whole process thanks for a great experience
