Our expert and regularly trained technicians provide a quality of service you won't find anywhere else. The technicians are ""Sadie Certified."" If Sadie rejects them, we will not dispatch them to your property. ""No One Knows AC Like Goettl.""

At the age of I recall one evening when my dad approached me and said, 'I need some help. I'm going to work on our neighbor's air conditioner.' On that night, I became the official flashlight holder for my dad's small business fixing air conditioners. The first air conditioner I ever lit up was a Goettl. While my dad progressed in the industry and transformed it into his full-time job, he initiated as a Goettl dealer. Consequently, my whole career—from the first moment I saw an air conditioner to the present—has been connected to Goettl.

Way over priced. A lot of upselling. Got the work done for a fraction of the price. Will not call again.

They respond fast, have everything on their truck and get it done the first time. However, I think they are a bit too proud of their handy work judging by the pricing.

I was able to fix my leaking kitchen faucet on my own but only needed to a professional's help to remove the old compression ring in order to replace it with a brand new shutoff valve with new compression fittings. Pacific Drain & Plumbing was very responsive and was able to send someone over that same day at a time that was most convenient for us.

Grant was there waiting for us as we drove up to our house. The traffic was very bad so we were a little late by a few minutes getting home from work. He was very understanding and friendly. We felt guilty being a little late when he was so prompt. Right away, we could tell he was very knowledgeable about our problem. He knew exactly what needed to be done and had all the tools required to do the job.

He gave us a lot of tips to let us know how the previous plumber had made our life difficult by the way they had originally installed the water shutoff valves underneath our kitchen sink (for example, leaving the copper pipe too short and crimping down too tightly on the nut which deformed the copper pipe and made it near impossible to remove the compression ring).

Our shutoff valve problem turned out to be much more complicated and difficult to fix but Grant patiently diagnosed all possible solutions and came up with something that would work without tearing down the walls or cutting off the copper pipe to extend it further out.

Grant went above and beyond to help us clean up the mess afterwards and was so helpful throughout the entire process. Something that looked easy to fix turned out near impossible to do without his knowledge, expertise, and brute strength. He is by far the hardest working plumber we have ever met. We would highly recommend Grant and Pacific Drain & Plumbing without any hesitation. Grant is a great plumber but more importantly, he is a great person.

Scheduled a service to replace an angle stop in the Master Bathroom. Technician - Grant was on time, very helpful and completed the job in less than an hour. He also looked at several of the other angle stops for possible future replacement. No high pressure to replace. Have used Pacific Drain in the past and will continue to use them in the future. Two thumbs up for Grant..

Debated about adding this review. Decided to do it as a courtesy for my fellow Yelpers. This company came out to give me an estimate to repair my water heater. After about 5 minutes of looking at it, I was informed that I needed a new water heater. I already knew all that was needed was the T&P valve replaced. Then they had the audacity to tell me that estimate was $89. No mention of a fee when I scheduled the visit. When I got the bill via email I said I wasn't going to pay it as I wasn't informed beforehand. The other plumbing companies provided estimates free of charge. The next day, I got a call from the Pacific saying they were sorry for the misunderstanding and would reverse the charge. That helped soothe me a bit but not enough to not tell the truth about my experience. Hope they stop trying to take advantage of people before they go out of business.

This place is the ultimate in up sell and completely dishonest on your plumbing needs.

Got an estimate for a minor issue and it was 5 figures. Had 2 other plumbers come out and went with the higher of the 2 because of better ratings. Got the job done for $1,800 from a licensed plumber. This is a SCAM company....beware

Greedy and dishonest.
Called them for drain clearing in San Diego; they confirmed $80-$89 over the phone (6 months ago they charged me $80 too). Technician came on-site and mentioned $100 and showed me the online price (their special is also on the yelp now). 5 min later he came back from his truck and said according to his manager the special is excluded for San Diego. San Diego price is $350!!!! I smiled :)

Customer service, responsiveness and communication were terrible. They kept pushing my appointment without communicating that to me, kept saying I would be contacted by tech but was not. Then when I called to eventually cancel the appointment I was told it was already canceled. Hope they can improve these experiences going forward.

I always used Pacific Drain over the years and received fast service from knowledgeable plumbers at a reasonable price. Beware. That is not longer the case. Pacific Drain has been bought out by Goettl. They arrived to perform a toilet repair and quoted $940. When I asked for a breakdown of the quote, i.e. parts and labor costs, they said they won't provide that to me, but took off $300. They are obviously employing predatory practices and will never get a single dollar from me going forward.

They were the first to respond. He came when they said they would - it was a Saturday morning. Quoted a price after they got here which was - it turns out on later review - higher than the price others (who responded later) quoted and also higher than the price some advertise on TV. But after about 3/4 hours work he said ""it needs the HYDRO-BLASTER and it will be here this afternoon. It costs $XXX but the $YYY for what I've done will be included in that.""
So we hung for hours, until late in the afternoon, and called the office ""Sorry he told you this afternoon, we can schedule you for Monday,""
""We have a 1:00 PM appointment Monday, can you make it early morning?""
""We have you scheduled between 8:00 and 10:00 on Monday.""
Early Monday morning there is an e-mail: we are scheduled for Tuesday 8:00 AM. What happened to the promise for Monday? ""I don't know who you spoke to on Saturday, but while this afternoon is available, this morning was already booked. We understand this afternoon doesn't work for you. Do you still want us tomorrow morning?""
So they came out Tuesday morning and did the job.
POSITIVE: They did what was needed.
NEGATIVE: It took longer than promised, and cost more than what some competitors quoted or advertised.
