I needed a repair on a heater for a rental property so I called Gochez thinking I would support local. He went to the property as scheduled and gave an estimate for the repair via telephone, as I am not on site. He proceeded to ask for payment prior to the job which I found to be odd. I explained that payment comes after the job is completed. He said that he could have to job done the next day. The following day arrives, I call and text to confirm and no response or show. Very unprofessional. I would not waste my time calling or patronizing this business.

Hello. My first and only acquaintance with this company is from Amazon. I love Amazon for stuff like this, and I don't blame them.

I had a three hour window, and waited - after booking my appointment 4 days prior. On the day of, I was already starting to get bummed because the window of time for this company to arrive was getting late and I would not have my garbage disposal fixed.

I received a call from Gochez Plumbing 1/2 hour before they were to show up - cancelling the appointment.

I am writing this review - not to down cast the company, but on professional terms. If you are ""over-booked,"" tired, need to get home or just know you can't make it, review your jobs and schedule, and have the courtesy and professionalism to call the clients who have been WAITING ALL day early to tell them . Don't call them at the last minute to cancel. I then had to scramble to schedule something else around my work schedule.

He asked to reschedule two or 3 days down the line, but I work - some days long hours - and it was just not considerate. I have already been waiting 4 days for this appointment!! There is no excuse.

He apologized, and I'm thankful; but that didn't fix my sink. I appreciate the call - just consider that people are taking time off - waiting for you. Don't wait till the last minute and CERTAINLY be more professional.

I had a great experience with Mike Gochez Plumbing and Heating.
He was very professional and fair. I had plumbing problems in my kitchen as well as both bathrooms. He gave me a detailed quote, which included options at each price point for an item that needed replacing. He was polite and worked very quickly I was happy to find out that he works on air conditioning as well.

So found on Amazon for work needing done and after not showing up between the 2 Hour window he calls and says he is on the way. Finally arrived... very very nice. Was quick, professional and good.
Soooo....... toilet backed up last nite and of course why would I not call same company. Instant answer to call and was friendly and gave window of 3-5 PM. Took time off work and 5 came and went. Called, left voice message. Texted, no response. So two experiences with same company .... did not show up when expected, eventually did. Then did not show up.......or reply AT ALL.

I had an A+ experience with Mike. He did what he said he would do, did it in a conscientious manner, was friendly, clean, reasonable price. I will definitely make him my plumber on call rather than depend on larger companies who charge more and do not have a personal touch.

I rent a unit in Alhambra and was shocked when my toilet backed up and the landlords said it was my responsibility to fix. I called Gochez Plumbing and was able to make a same day appointment with Mike the owner. His work was very efficient and extremely clean which is a major plus due to having two lil ones running around. Not to mention very good price! Thank you Mike!

I wanted to get a toilet installed at my home. I ordered the installation service through amazon.com. What a joke! I set up the first time with Gochez for 5-8 pm on Friday - he was a no show. I received call and email the next day (while I was at work) saying he could come same day or Monday. I arranged for Monday between 1-4 pm but was explicit that I had to leave at 4 pm for work. He called at 330 pm saying he would probably not make it by 4 pm (even forgot I had to leave by then). He came at 5:30 pm instead. This was not my choice, I had already wasted 6 hours on this. When I set up the Monday appt, I send him note via amazon saying that the install was on the 3rd floor and that the toilet had to be brought up. I asked if that would be a problem. He arrived at my home, brought up tools, looked at it and came down and told me that 1) I had to sign off that the job was complete now, before he did ANY WORK , as his cel phone was running out, 2) I had to give him my internet access as he had no service, and 3) he had to charge me MORE as it was on the third floor. I wouldn't have had a problem with the up change but are you kidding me!!!!!! WHAT A SCAM!! I don't trust this guy and you would be a fool to use him!!!

Gochez Plumbing and Heating is a brand new company. I met the owner, Mike, when he came to install my Toto G400 toilet yesterday. Mike is a young but skilled and experienced professional with a great smile and a friendly personality. He obviously loves his work. If you know anything about the Japanese-made Toto toilets, especially the high-tech ones like the G400, you'll know they are incredibly complicated and have unique installation demands because of the unusual design. I'm glad Mike was there, because it was all Greek to me. I never saw so many bolts, screws and the like. His installation was flawless, and he checked and triple checked for leaks, even though the hour was getting late. AND cleaned up after himself too! The Toto is working beautifully and I'm happy about the installation, which was very nicely done.

Mike Gochez was referred to me by another tradesman when it was discovered that I had a burst pipe under my house. He arrived within the hour, immediately went to work and put a temporary fix on the leak. He then recommended a restoration company for the cleanup and even made the initial call for me. Gave me a written estimate for the permanent fix and we made an appointment to do the work. He and his team arrived when they said, got to work, even worked through the weekend to get the job finished quickly and I am more than satisfied with both the work and the workmanship. He is top notch, I will recommend him and I will certainly use him again when needed. I also manage an apartment building and he will now be the go-to man when I need his expertise there. Thanks Mike, it has been such a pleasure doing business with you!!
