I called them based on google reviews. The tech was great and very professional. I was charged $850 an hour on a by the hour basis. The owner said what, he worked too quick for you...we price by the job. The work was under 4 sinks and took less than two hours. When I questioned the owner about the ridiculous pricing, he was argumentative and rude.

Our tech Derek was nice enough and very professional.

But $900 to install a garbage disposal that we provided and PVC piping under the kitchen sink that only took an hour to install was egregious.

The owner claims that due to living ""up the hill"" there is a surplus for what they charge. So be aware that there is price gouging if you live in Pollock Pines.

$579 to install a garbage disposal we supplied (normally $795 if they supply the part)
$279 for new PVC piping under the sink
+tax

Highly recommend calling around to any other company before GoPro Plumbing shows up and robs you of hundreds.

Called GoPro about installing a water filter for our kitchen, and they were out very quickly to come check out what we were talking about. Gave us a quote for time and cost, very reasonable. We talked about it further and decided to install a water filter for the whole house instead. Same thing, gave them a call and they responded very quickly and were able to give us an estimated quote while we discussed it. When we decided to go for it, Ashley put the quote together quickly and sent it over, gave us an estimate for the delivery with the reminder that it might be delayed a day because of the holiday weekend. That wasn't an issue for us and I was thankful for the reminder. She called me to let me know that it was coming in that afternoon on Wednesday and that they'd be out Thursday to install. It seemed like an easy installation because Derek was so quick. He explained things incredibly well and I'm very happy with how everything turned out. Great company, and will definitely use them in the future if we need a plumber again. Highly recommend.

These guys are legit. First Derek rolls up is totally chill but is like this this and this ain't up to code so my BS detector went off but then I called a friend and he confirmed what Derek was saying. He gave me options on different ways to go but since we are considering selling figured might as well get it handled properly. Anyways they got my water heater replaced same day, and all is well. Thanks guys

Josh was great coming out and helping me install plumbing and the garbage disposal to a quote of $590. I left him a tip on his way out. A minute after he left, however, I noticed the pipe was leaking, so I had to get him to return. He ""fixed"" the issue, but, an hour later, it started leaking again. I called the company to request him to return again but Josh was unavailable the rest of the day.

The next morning I get a call from Josh stating that I can fix the leak myself by going to the local hardware store and buying the parts required. Otherwise, he stated Go Pro would have to charge me for another visit. This is unacceptable.

If you hired me to build a new website for you and I told you it's done and you pay me but next day the website is broken, I have no right to charge you again to fix it. The onus is on me to ensure the job you paid me for was done right.

Josh had great intentions in saving me money and I appreciate that. However, it didn't work out in this case and I wish the outcome were better. I cannot recommend this company to anyone else.

--------------------

Update:
Spoke on the phone with a defiant owner named Brian. He insisted that the job was done right, but that the leakage is due to faulty parts reused from my old sink piping, which initially came as a suggestion from Josh as he was assessing the quote to save me money. I am grateful for this. Who am I to question an expert plumber on what parts to use? When Josh returned, it should've been a no-brainer to suggest to me to replace the old piping with new ones I can purchase from Ace 5 minutes away.

With a continually leaky pipe, Brian offered two options:

1. Wait a week or two until more jobs appeared in my area before sending someone out. All the while having a leaky pipe at home. (Why even have my town as a service area if you can't send someone out in less than a week?)

2. Go to Ace and get a ""50 cent gasket"" and fix it myself. The principle of this is that I paid fair money not to have to do this job myself. Good customer service would be ""I'll refund you $x if you get this part and fix this up yourself"". That would've been more palatable than keeping 100% of my money and telling me to fix the leak myself.

Absolutely dumbfounded by the ""customer service"" of this company. Their website boasts being ""In business for almost 40 years, our company has perfected customer service"". Please.

Can't wait for Brian to reply and state that this is *my* fault because the customer ""supplied the parts"" (because it was my idea to reuse old parts, right?) and that Josh ""did the job right"". Is the job really done right if a customer is left with a leaky pipe?

Joshua was awesome! We woke up to a sewage backup and thankfully he was able to come out today to fix it. He was right on time and did a great job. He also installed a new toilet that we bought and a new kitchen faucet. He was very professional and kind. Highly recommended!

Josh cam two ours late. He called prior to arriving, but made no apology for being late. He efficiently diagnosed and solved the problem behind our slow-draining kitchen sink.
