This is my new one stop plumbing supply in Oakland. They normally have everything I need Customers service is great. Cindy is the one that runs the store. She is very knowledgeable and I saw first hand how well she treats her staff. Jayla is new there but will definitely make you feel like a valued customer when you go stop there.

THEY ARE NOT CLOSED!
I just spoke wiith them -- they were acquired by Standard and have a new name on the building -- but it's the same building, the same supplies, and the same staff. They still answer to the name Globe, the lady said on the phone, ""for people who freak out at the name change"".
My plumber bought a Caroma toilet there a couple of years ago - we shopped there and found the service great. I will be replacing two other toilets with Caromas (for flushing that does not get clogged) and my plumber will go to Globe/Standard next week to buy the toilet.
(When I told him that the Web said Globe was closed, he was startled. ""No it's not!"")
No, it's not. Click on the link on the Yelp page for their web site and you see the ""Standard"" name on it - but it's the same place.
What a relief!

The people here are so kind. When my puppy Leo escaped my friend's fence and went missing he knew to go to Globe Plumbing Supply! They called me first thing in the morning to let me know they found Leo and that he was in good hands. If I ever need a plumbing item I am DEFINITELY going here. Good people, good business.

This place is great: local, personalized service, great quality, and the ability to provide PARTS so entire devices don't need to be replaced. Plus, they're accountable. We had a faucet we purchased for them installed by our plumber. Six months later it came completely loose. The plumber said the part was defective, and it had never really attached properly, so we should return it. We weren't entirely convinced ourselves, and we thought we had a snowball's chance in hell of getting something that cost almost $300 fully replaced 6 months after purchase, especially because we couldn't find the receipt (though we did have the credit card bill to show we'd made the purchase there). We took it in, they looked it over, took some pictures and sent them to the manufacturer, agreed that the part was defective, and twenty minutes after we walked in, we walked out with a replacement in full -- and a renewed one-year warantee. We're customers for life.

We were in need of a diverter and a valve for an ongoing bathroom remodel and Cindy helped us. She was absolutely incredible, patient and helpful! She took about two whole hours to explain the available options and we could not have been more pleased. Highly recommend this place and her valuable expertise.

The lady at the front desk was very helpful and made several calls on my behalf for a part she didn't carry. She even told me to visit her competitor and also let me know about a great Mac and Cheese restaurant across the street. She was really nice and I hope they move this place to the Tri-Valley area as you only want to come here during the day.

Super helpful, great prices, and all the parts the big stores don't have. They took time out of their day to help me out and pointed me in a good direction. Everyone in the office was helpful and I was served by several members of their staff.
Feels like a good old fashioned mom and pop shop.

Wow, my wife called and needed a consult on a toilet for our bathroom remodel. Cindy E. of Globe Plumbing said she would research and would call my wife back. She even asked my wife to send a picture of the existing toilet area. Cindy called back and left an extensive message with instructions and expert consultation on how best to install a new 10 inch rough toilet with the existing flange. Even offered to talk to my wife on Monday if we needed more help. This was jaw dropping service. Thanks Globe and Cindy!

Like the others already said... everyone at this store is friendly. They didn't have what I needed but offered to order. Between this place and Meyer's you should be able to find anything you need for your plumbing needs.

i like to support locally owned businesses and i can not afford to support them any more. i went in and purchased a simple heater thermostat and it was $40. when i got home, it was not the correct wattage and i was charged a 15% restocking fee upon returning the thermostat. a heating repair company came in an replaced my thermostat and with labor and parts charged me $50 total. when i researched the cost of the thermostat online, it was between $20-30. hey, i realize we all must make money in this world but next time, i will go to small local hardware store where the mark-up is not as much.
