I ordered sink rim clips on October 2nd from Cindy but they hadn't arrived almost two weeks later so I called back on October 15th to find out what happened so Frank said he would send them. They finally arrived: twice as much product as I needed. My credit card statement arrived ten days later and I noticed that they charged me twice for the same product, plus they charged me for expensive FedEx service to ship a small box 20 miles when they could have used UPS or even USPS. I ended up paying for expensive shipping for an order that took over two weeks to arrive at my home. I called a third time to complain about the double charge and an employee gave me the wrong number for their Accounts Receivable department where I was supposed to ask for a refund. I called a fourth time and Cindy was unsympathetic to the fact that I was charged for expensive quick shipping via FedEx but I received expensive SLOW shipping and she refused to refund or even reduce the shipping charge.

had not been there in 8 yrs used to go when they were global I think , at any rate they are a full service hardware store , pay little more but your in out and the store is clean and neat and helpful folks . spending my money here HOME DEPOT BITE ME.

If I could give Standard Plumbing Supply 100 stars I would! I called this afternoon to find out if they had a Moen kitchen faucet in stock (not in stock at any other major hardware supply stores in ALL of the East Bay, which I think is worth a mention). They had 9 in stock! I was helped by Adan over the phone and in person, and he was such a wonderful surprise as far as friendliness and customer service go - I was amazed! It is so hard to find this type of service nowadays. I will never go anywhere else for anything plumbing related. Adan should get a raise!

Thank you Standard Plumbing Supply for having an item I desperately needed (my kitchen faucet broke today and I can't use it at all!) and also for having such wonderful, helpful and knowledgeable employees!

Visited this medium hardware store 3 times in the recent past. Got excellent personal and informed help right away. Most recently I visited for a new kitchen sink and was very happy with price and service. This is now my go to hardware store.

My wife and I totally gutted our bathroom (first bathroom remodel ever). Originally, we were attracted to some of the ""shinier"" stores out there. However, after meeting Cindy, we decided to work up a quote and work with her and her team. Best decision ever.

-Their pricing beat nearly everybody else (we went 95% Kohler)
-They exceeded delivery time expectations
-They were able to account for the small pieces and items we needed (but had no idea we would need) associated with plumbing, fixtures, our recessed mirror, etc. We picked what we wanted and the look we wanted and they made sure we got all necessary equipment.
-Their communication was top notch.

Cindy and Adan are amazing and if we ever have a need for more bathroom/kitchen/plumbing support, we will go to them.

12 years ago, a professional plumber directed me to Globe Plumbing Supply for hard to find parts and expert advice on my 1947 Oakland home. Now, in 2018, still doing business as Standard, I have found the same level of service and in-stock plumbing parts. Don't waste your time on several trips to different hardware stores looking for the odd washer or gasket you need to stop the drips in your older home. Just go to Standard in the first place, ask for Cindy, and get the parts and advice you need without wasting time. She might even rebuild your 71 year old faucet cartridge with the correct washers while you wait and charge you $2.00 in parts, like she did for me...

This is my new one stop plumbing supply in Oakland. They normally have everything I need Customers service is great. Cindy is the one that runs the store. She is very knowledgeable and I saw first hand how well she treats her staff. Jayla is new there but will definitely make you feel like a valued customer when you go stop there.

THEY ARE NOT CLOSED!

I just spoke wiith them -- they were acquired by Standard and have a new name on the building -- but it's the same building, the same supplies, and the same staff. They still answer to the name Globe, the lady said on the phone, ""for people who freak out at the name change"".

My plumber bought a Caroma toilet there a couple of years ago - we shopped there and found the service great. I will be replacing two other toilets with Caromas (for flushing that does not get clogged) and my plumber will go to Globe/Standard next week to buy the toilet.

(When I told him that the Web said Globe was closed, he was startled. ""No it's not!"")

No, it's not. Click on the link on the Yelp page for their web site and you see the ""Standard"" name on it - but it's the same place.

What a relief!
