I'm not man of many words. But I've been using Eddie's service for a while, now. He always seems fair and honest to me with a strong work ethic. When he can't get out to me, he sends his son. Seems like a good egg, as well, and a hard worker. all in all, I trust Global Plumbing.

We had this company do a full re pipe after several leaks. They were wonderful and completed the whole job in one day. They even came later to re do one area and replace a defective recirculating pump at no charge! So impressed with this company.

WHAT A JOKE.. Tom or Tim (?) after trying to raise the rate by $50+ I told him I only had the $80 originally agreed on, he said ok, then tried to charge me for the seals on the toilet! I said no, He told me about stories of death in family & how broke they were...well, when he was snaking toilet he ground a 10"" indentation in my door frame! I called Eddie said I should have paid the full amount & I owed him! And accused me of lying about Tom agreeing on $80. They said they would come out to fix it and never showed up. I stopped payment on check, good thing because my tub was never snaked & is still holding water!

Eddie and his assistant, Tom, solved the blocked drain problem for half of what three other companies quoted and I am pleased with the final result. The blocked drain was discovered 16 days after purchasing our home in Covina and I have been one bitter woman. I posted earlier about my dissatisfaction with the company that installed the drain line. It seems obvious that something was not done properly; however, the owner seemed to care less about what his employee did. He saw this as an opportunity, quoting the highest repair prices.

As one reviewer mentioned, Eddie showed up late and I was not happy at first. By the way, I can understand the reviewer's feeling of being sick over paying $40 for flipping a switch. I once paid an electrical company $85 to open up the electrical plate and tighten the screws. It hurts. However, in this case, I had dealt with three other plumbing companies and I was feeling really ill over the thousands this was going to cost me (remember this was a recently purchased home); I felt a miracle cure, with some residual pain, when Eddie quoted me the price for digging up the line and installing a new clean out. It was still over a thousand and it was money that I had to scrape together.

Back to Eddie and how he does things- being inquisitive, I probed with questions while he was working to solve the problem. I realized that Eddie has no secretary and when he gets into a job, he can be deep into what he is doing (literally and figuratively). For example, when he and Tom dug up our drain line, they were five feet into a hole. They had no idea when they started to dig that the ground was filled with rocks; they were exhausted once they reached the pipe. While they were in there digging, the phone would ring and Eddie answered it when he could; sometimes he could not manage to get to it. He stayed at my house two hours later than he planned and after he completed the job, he answered my questions. While working, he told me that he really wanted to solve this problem; at times, it seemed bleak because the drain line drops 9 feet into the ground and goes under cement. The original company used a back hoe to dig (as reported by a neighbor); Eddie and Tom used a jack hammer, a pick ax, a shovel, and brute force. Eddie persevered and as he was leaving, he mentioned that he was late for another job. He was determined to get there- but he was calm when he reported this. I hoped that the person who was waiting would give him a chance when he finally arrived.

Here is my conclusion. In this case, workmanship and money were the most important factors. I am happy with Eddie's work and he saved me a ton. By the way, our insurance agent recommended him- telling me that Eddie takes care of the plumbing in all of his homes (yes, I did say homes). While Eddie was here, he worked really hard and he worked all day long. He seemed trustworthy and I did not feel nervous having him here. That is really important because I have had workers in my house and on my property that made me nervous. One worker who built a wall on our property admitted that he walked around when I was not here. He revealed this when he told me that we had some excess flagstone at the opposite end of our yard; not good!

If you decide to call Eddie, tell him that Katheryn recommended him and to give you the best price possible. My insurance agent told me to tell Eddie that he had been recommended and that he should give me the best price. I am not sure if it worked, but it was far less than the other quotes.

Good luck!

Company ad says to consider my local neighbor for the job. So, I confirmed an appt on Wednesday with Eddy. No show and no call at our appt time of 830-9a on Friday. I'm still waiting...

Showed up at 930a (one hr late) without any notice that he was still coming. He didn't apologize or say anything about being late.

Spent literally 1 min repairing the garbage disposal at the kitchen sink (by flipping the switch underneath the disposal) and charged $40. He says he gave me a discount from the $45 he quoted me on the phone. I commented that it must be the fastest $40 he has ever made. He said no. He has charged his customers showing up at their door (meaning without doing any work) -- with a straight face. Goodness. Maybe that's why he showed up one hour later anyway....to collect his $40.

I won't be calling my neighbor again. I prefer a more reliable and ethical contractor.

This was the second time we had a slab leak. The first leak was fixed about 2 years ago and this second leak was also around the same area. I did not feel comfortable to allow the same person to fix this second leak. This time, Eddie was recommended to me by a very trustworthy friend.

Eddie fixed a leak inside the wall and things looked fine. But, Eddie said that he could hear another leak. When the water meter next to the street was examined, it was still turning, indicating another leak.

Since this was the second slab leak in our house, I was thinking that the best thing to do was to re-pipe the house through the ceiling and the walls. I was telling Eddie that we should re-pipe the house, by-passing the existing pipes in the slab, without breaking down any tiles.

Eddie used his leak-detection tools and located a leak underneath a tile, away from where water was seen on the floor. It was hard for me to believe that there could be a leak under a perfectly placed tile that was completely dry, far away from the problem. I was hesitant in letting him break that tile in order to approach the leak. However, he was quite confident that he found the leak.

Eddie said that if he did not find the leak under that tile, it would be a learning experience for him. He said that he wouldn't charge his customers for his learning experiences and promised me that he would not charge me if he did not find the leak under that tile.

My husband and I decided that if Eddie did not find the leak under that tile, we had no other option than re-piping the house, even though it was much more expensive. When the tile was broken down and as the concrete and dirt were removed, there was a puddle of water , proving that Eddie's prediction of the leak under that tile was accurate.

Eddie and his helper, James, were polite and friendly. They covered around the working area to minimize the dust created. They worked professionally. They patched the wall and also tiled the floor. I was amazed to see the outcome. No more water leaking on to the floor. The water meter near the street had come to a stop. The tiles on the floor looked perfect as if nothing had happened.

Above all, I have to give credit to Eddie's expertise in locating the leak underground, away from the leaking water on the floor. Without that capability, I really do not have any idea, how we would have solved the problem, without by-passing the underground pipes all together.

Eddie's company earned my trust with their superb work. Therefore, I decided to write this review about Eddie's service so that many others, who may experience similar situations, could get help.
