We called Glenrose Plumbing and Heating when our water pipe broke and they had a plumber to our house shortly after. Ken did a great job and was totally professional, and very quickly solved the problem. I would call them again for any plumbing problem!!!

I left a previous review but thought it necessary to review Glenrose again based upon an entirely different service call and experience. The other review I gave Glenrose 5 stars, excellent service, excellent price. Thought I had found a new plumbing company to use for future work as well. And I cannot take away from that experience.
HOWEVER, several weeks later I call and they come out but a different plumber than the first work done. He quotes me $707 for what should be just a Moen shower faucet cartridge and labor to install. He said entire shower assembly needed to be replaced along with the trim kit in the shower. And his quote included $56 for going into crawl space to turn water off and on again! I called the mgmt/owner and was told she would look at the quote and get back to me the next day via email. She did and basically said ""it is what it is"", and that this project ""...may not be a good fit"". What in the world does ""this project may not be a good fit"" mean? That certainly doesn't exude confidence in the company your trying to do business with. After telling them they lost this business and any future business, I called another company and had the work performed for $165. You do the math and decide who you want to do business with.

Our water heater broke on Sunday, and we called Glenrose Plumbing to see what could be done. They didn't have one available but could get one Monday. We called first thing Monday and they were already working to get us a new unit. Had it installed and running Monday evening. Cost was reasonable and the installer was great.

A very unethical business that takes advantage of the elderly!!
My parents called them out to fix a shower valve that was tough to use. Done these many times myself so figured it would be a 15-30 minute job and they would probably pay a couple hundred. Nope not even close.
Instead they replaced ""1"" cartridge for a Moen 1225b shower valve. Keep in mind these are less than $20 retail and so common everyone carries them. You even get the tool to remove it with the cartridge when you purchase it. I have done them myself and it takes no time to do and its super easy. My Father no longer has the strength to do this kind of thing and I live 500 miles away.
Glenrose charged $354.00 to do that, yes thats 334 labor for 15 minutes of work. And while they were there my parents said can you look at the toilet lever and other shower. They did just that, didn't replace anything but charged 210.00 to adjust both items.
All in all a bill for $582.95 for a $20 dollar part, 30 minutes of work and probably an hour of driving each way based on their location.
This is so wrong when companies take advantage of the elderly and I will not hesitate to point it out every chance I get.
They can say whatever they want but I know what they paid, how long they spent and what the job entailed. I also know who Glenrose Plumbing is and have had dealings with them in the past when I worked in the plumbing wholesale industry.

Had Bruce over to my house for an estimate on a basement bathroom. Waited a week...no bid. Called and asked when I could get the estimate. The lady said she would call me right back. That was a week ago. I guess they don't want my business or they lack the skills and ability to complete the job. If you are looking to get a project done in a timely manner and time is money to you like it is to me....then I suggest you look elsewhere. What kind of business doesn't have the courtesy or professionalism to return your calls and send you a bid after 2 weeks? I see from the reviews on here that I'm not the first to encounter this problem with Bruce. I am also sure I won't be the last. STEER CLEAR!!

Bruce was a consummate professional. He came out and assessed our old hot water tank, and then went to bat for us with the home warranty company for replacement approval. Once approved, he replaced the hot water tank quickly and was on his way, leaving the work area cleaner than when he got there. I highly recommend Glenrose Plumbing Service.

Heather, Owner, is not an honest individual.

1. They buy at wholesale cost and dramatically mark-up the cost of inventory [in other words, buy it yourself, versus through Glenrose].
2. Labor [installation costs] are a joke! I was charged $200 for a 45 minute installation.

I would not recommend this company unless you feel like getting price gouged.

Such a nice experience. I received a call before my plumber Rick showed up. He was knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. The work was completed and the price was reasonable. Will be using Glenrose again.

I have been using Glenrose for my plumbing needs for over 10 years. They have excellent staff in the office and, the plumbers are very good at what they do. The pricing is fair and the service is excellent.
