Cold calls from an unlisted number rather than the company phone number is cause for concern. Why would I retain the services of a construction company that buys phone numbers so they can call people out of the blue and ask them if ""need construction work around your house?"" If you are an honest contractor and you do really good work, you wouldn't have to result to cold calling. Your work should speak for its self and you will have work lined up for your reputation and quality craftsmanship. Apparently, this clearly not the case with this contractor. CLIENT BEWARE!!!! There is a strong feeling that this person is sub par and performs shabby work that will leave you disappointed and unhappy with the mess of a ""job"" that you are left with. Save your money and your time to hire a real professional contractor, not this one!

In a pandemic year, it seemed like everyone wanted to tackle their home improvement projects. We saw how back ordered home appliances were, and heard stories of how busy contractors were. We needed work done - flooring, lighting, painting, and other miscellaneous interior and exterior work - and we needed it done under a very short timeframe of a little over three weeks (!).

GLC Construction was recommended to us by Eric of MT Kitchen Cabinets and also by a friend who had a home remodel project done by GLC.

Luckily, Gilbert was able and willing to take on our project. He and his team really delivered and then some. We appreciated his honesty, empathy, insight, expertise, communication, and craftsmanship. Gilbert would keep us informed and point out things for us to consider that we never thought about, but never tried to upsell us or pressure us into upgrades or additions. In areas that were outside of Gilbert's expertise, he always quickly researched and consulted with professionals in those fields then got back to us with options or solutions.

The project was not perfect and there were hiccups along the way on both sides, but Gilbert overall went above and beyond to help us and we love how everything turned out. Other friends with experience in home remodeling are shocked the project scope was completed within our optimistic (read: almost unrealistic) schedule.

We definitely would work with GLC again for future projects, and would wholly recommend them.

GLC was recommended to us by several friends who have worked with Gilbert and his team and all were extremely happy with their projects. From our initial meeting with Gilbert, we found him to be very personable, honest, open and very easy going. The bidding/proposal process was straight forward, detailed, fair and extremely easy. After meeting with Gil, I knew this was the contractor I could trust and wanted to work with, there was no need to meet with other contractors. In the end we were thoroughly happy, there were no hidden charges and we were delighted the project remained on budget.

The project included a complete kitchen remodel, master bath make-over, additional work in the family room, dining room and refinishing of hardwood floors. The subcontractors recommended by GLC - flooring, MTKC cabinetry and quartz were all equally quality contractors. Gil worked diligently with us to deliver the detailed finish work we hoped to achieve with the remodel -the work and the project exceeded expectations. We appreciated that GLC's entire team were very respectful of our needs, willing to address any concerns, patient and understanding of new changes -bottom line they wanted to make sure we were happy with the finished project. With occasional roadblocks, they was there to work with us to find a solution. The team went beyond the proposed scope of work with extra detail and finishing touches. Definitely Gilbert is a contractor you can trust to do a great job!

Gilbert and his crew have completed 2 projects at our home, and we cannot be any happier with their work! From the beginning, Gilbert is really upfront and transparent with our projects. He clearly explains what can and cannot be done with a project, and is very accommodating with your vision. We've had MANY other contractors come over for estimates, and they like to throw terminology around and make you feel uneasy. Not the case with Gilbert. He makes you feel like a member of his family, and the quality of his work shows. His crew is always very respectful with our home, and get the work done effectively but with care. His costs are not the cheapest, but we think it's worth it for the quality of work; yet they are competitive with other estimates. You never feel like you're being taken advantage of....and as we all know, an honest contractor is like an honest mechanic or dentist...you hold on to them! We highly recommend Gilbert and the GLC crew for any house project!

This review is LONG overdue but Gilbert and his team did a complete kitchen remodel for us along with some other small projects (removal of popcorn ceiling, etc.) Gilbert was upfront and very honest about his services and costs. He knows what he is doing and I completely trust him with his suggestions and opinions. He is also very responsive, which is very important during the construction process. It is VERY hard to find a contractor that knows what they are doing AND you can trust completely. Thanks Gilbert for all of your work! GLC did a full kitchen remodel for us that included a full demo, taking out walls, adding archways, moving windows, installing cabinets and new appliances. I am happy to say it came out great.

Given the scope of the project, I decided to go with a GC and interviewed several. Gilbert's bid was very competitive and his portfolio demonstrated some excellent past work. I actually had to talk him into taking the project because he was so busy at the time and I'm glad I did.

We hit one complication while taking out a wall and he came up with a clever solution that allowed us to maintain the aesthetics we were looking for while staying on budget.

Throughout the process and continuing still, Gilbert has been available to answer questions and provide guidance which is much appreciated.

I strongly recommend GLC as Gilbert, Heinz and the rest of the team did a great job.

My husband and I interviewed several contractors when we decided to remodel our home. We wanted to add a kitchen island and replace the old granite counter tops, we needed to add a bathroom to a guest bedroom, we wanted our master bath/bedroom remodeled and lastly, we had plans to remodel a hall bathroom. We also needed to remodel our laundry room.

GLC wasn't the lowest bid but after meeting with Gilbert it was clear to me that he was honest and hard working. We needed to have our guest bedroom bathrooms finished before our little one arrived as we were having several out of town guests staying with us. Gilbert reassured us that he would have them done. He didn't let us down. His crew worked long hours to get our project done before our guests arrived. Gilbert was very good about informing us on the status of the project as well as letting me know what I needed to order.

A remodel can be daunting but Gilbert and his crew made sure that everything ran smoothly and stayed within our budget. I am very thankful that we made the decision to go with Gilbert. The level of integrity and knowledge that he showed is hard to find these days. Thank you Gilbert, Jack and the rest of the crew. We love our home and it was a pleasure working with you.
