AVOID THIS BUSINESS! Called Glashow to fix a leaky bathtub in January for a faucet that was not adjusting water temperature properly. After a couple of weeks, they finally came to fix. The issue was a cartridge replacement. They charge a site visit fee, which is standard, but then they charge an hourly fee to repair. I looked up online how much it costs to replace a cartridge for a shower and they typical charge is 100-350. Living in NYC, I understand that they would be on the higher end of that scale. The issue is they charge $160 per hour for the repair. With that sort of fee, you would expect a seasoned plumber who could get the job done in 1-2. hours. After 6 hours including leaving 3 times going back and forth after picking up the wrong parts. The bill I received was for $1600. They also adjusted a faucet and popup in the master bathroom for under an hour during that visit. I found that invoice to be unacceptable and eventually spoke to the owner and negotiated down to 750 all in for the parts and work, which I still find excessive for the work down. After a few months the same issue started happening again. I called the office 6 times and emailed various times for a month to no response to come back to fix the issue. No call backs and no response. Once I got a lawyer involved, they said I would have to find someone else to do the work and I will be doing just that. Just an unprofessional, unresponsive, and price gauging organization. AVOID THIS BUSINESS!

Shady, no shame and full of lies. The drivers in their van hit my parked car after trying to park in a spot that was way too small for their van. Called shop instantly and was told by receptionist she would reach out to drivers and need to call me back. Noticed driver trying to leave and denied hitting despite irrefutable evidence they did. Called shop back and was told she was not responsible for her own drivers and made no effort to reach out to them.Claimed she contacted the owner and he would call me back. NEVER happened. Their van waited until we left the scene - and then proceeded to hit the car behind them not once, not twice, but three different times. Called shop back again and told receptionist the van hit another car 3 times and yet again was told drivers weren't the shop's responsibility. Didn't even care when I said there was VIDEO showing that her drivers hit a parked car and left. Simply said the owner needed to address but owner was unavailable the entire day. If this is how they act when caught in the act- imagine what they will do when you are NOT looking.

Look elsewhere, not professional (arrived late), not technically competent, over-charged for job.

These dropped the ball on not getting a COI to get into my building therefore missing the date to do the work required for other contractors to their work - all of which they knew after many phone conversations over two weeks. They took responsibility. Stay away.

These guys are the best plumbers in the NYC area, easily. Not only are all their technicians extremely knowledgeable, the owner Robert is super friendly and willing to help you in any situation. Same goes for Tom, one of this associates. Great organization from the top down. Use them!

I strongly recommend you do not use Glashow. There is no customer service. They are con-artists. They do not return your phone calls and hang up on you if you have more than 1 question. I believe they are corrupt and in business to belittle the customer.
