Its TRUE! Great customer service still exists in San Leandro!!! Called Gladiator at 7 pm... Oswaldo arrived at 8 pm! He took a look at what I had attempted to do in opening up the clogged plumbing, and jumped right in. Re-assembled the P-trap I had taken apart, and started work from the outside clean-out. My little hardware store snake had gone 15 feet and hit nothing, his handheld unit hit a hairball at about 25 feet. He said ""We need the BIG one... "" and used the industrial-grade snake/rooter to clear the line all the way. Wrapped it all up before 9 pm, invoiced as quoted over the phone, including my senior discount (their coupon is on their web site). Result: A great sense of relief... and confidence that the job has been done well! These are people you WANT to deal with!

My brother called because we had a main line clog. We were told what time they would arrive and he was promptly on time. The plumber Eddie was very knowledgable, patient and thorough in helping us understand the cause of the problem. With no delay got right to work and kept us in to what was going on the whole time which was great. He got the job done and we highly recommend. Last but not least the price was unbeatable and fair.

I've been dealing with a loud banging sound and machine gun like spewing of water from my kitchen sink for 2 years! We were in a cycle of calling a plumbing, them not showing up for their appointment, us giving up for a few months, and then starting the process over again. If only I had just called Gladiator to begin with! Making the appointment was a snap. Since it wasn't an emergency I took an appointment 4 days out for a time that was convenient for me. They showed up exactly in the middle of the 1 hour window they gave me. Now here's the good part - it took him 10 seconds to locate and fix the problem! All this time the problem was that the shut off valve under the sink wasn't opened all the way! I'm afraid I laughed so hard that I scared the guy a little. I would have paid anything for that machine gun sound to go away, but in the end he insisted on no payment. Super classy, honest and reliable. I'm so glad to have a go-to plumber for the future.

Gladiator Plumbing was punctual, respectful and honest. I paid for 1 hour and had them fix my problem. I then asked them to fix a leak in my sink as well. I would definitely call them again.

I called these guys about getting an inspection in advance of securing a sewer lateral certificate. They were very responsive, came in a timely fashion, and did the inspection for free. They took the time to explain what was going on and when it was clear that the pipes need to be replaced, they gave me a quote and broke down every aspect of it. Just for the honesty and transparency I would give these guys 5 stars. And so I did.

Recently we had a sewer gas smell in the basement. I contacted 3 plumbers I found on nextdoor.

1st plumber- crawled under the house and was not able to access the damaged pipe due to duct work blocking it. They recommended we contact someone to remove the duct work before they can proceed. Their price was significantly higher just for the plumbing work.

2nd plumber was gladiator- they did not crawl under the house but looked around and said they should be able to do the work. Their price range was 1/2 of what the 1st plumber recommended.

3rd plumber- crawled a little bit under the house and also recommended duct work be removed before he can do any work. His price was the cheapest.

I contacted the 2nd plumber (gladiator) again to come out and provide another estimate to make sure they could do the work without us having to remove the duct. They came back after a few days and crawled under the house and looked at different ways to fix the problem. Ultimately they were creative and made a small hole in the basement and removed the old pipe then installed a one. Although it sounds simple, they really had to do some creative tinkering to make that happen. I really appreciated them actually looking at alternative solutions and really problem solving. This was a difficult job for them and I was very happy that we did not have to remove any of the duct work.

Anyway, just wanted to share my experience about gladiator plumbing. Give them a shot if you have a complex plumbing problem. Raul was the plumber and he did an outstanding job!
