Gladiator Plumbing & Repipe

We just bought a new house and hired Gladiator Repipe to replace the old 1950's galvanized steel pipe with copper. They took care of all the necessary permits, arranged the inspection, everything. They were fast, meticulous, and transparent - keeping us in the loop on everything they were doing. The city inspector even remarked that he was impressed by their attention to detail. After the inspection they did a great job of patching up anywhere in the wall they opened, much of which ended up looking significantly better than it had before, and they went above and beyond by fixing some other issues (like the gas line to the water heater) that we never would have expected. And when we discovered that the trenching had disrupted some sprinkler heads in the yard, they were out again the very next day to assist - very impressive and beyond the level of service most contractors seem to provide.

When we discovered via a camera inspection that our sewer line was broken, we hired them again and they were every bit as awesome. We absolutely wouldn't hesitate to bring them back again if we ever have another plumbing project come up or have a friend who does.

Even though Yuri Sagastume (Project Manager) came to my house & signed my contract plus assured me he would be onsite personally every step of the way that did not happen. 1st day house was re-piped. 2nd day no work except wait for county inspector. 3rd day sheet-rocker & assistant came plus Marino (employee) to install hardware and paint certain areas. 4th day Marino & Francisco arrived to repaint exterior kitchen wall. My house exterior has Omega Acrylic finish which I had discussed with Yuri when I interviewing him & again when job started. House re-piping went fairly smoothly, sheet-rocking went fairly smoothly however exterior kitchen wall finish was completely messed up by 2 attempts at re-stuccoing & repainting with incorrect color/texture/finish. I had to find different painting contractor to correctly use Omega finish (paint/texture) my exterior kitchen wall. I ended up missing outside wet/dry vacuum and ultimately had to file complaint with CA State Contractors Board for their mediation to finally be able to deduct the money I paid to have my exterior kitchen wall done correctly plus money for my missing vacuum from the final amount owed to Gladiator. I learned from CA State Contractors Board that Yuri was not licensed with them as required to be company salesman & plus there were errors in my contract that CSLB said they would address with Gladiator. Despite my research & interview with Gladiator I would not hire this company again based on their lack of communication skills during work & when addressing problems. I did keep in touch with Yuri by texts & sent pictures via text of kitchen exterior wall issues so he was aware of problems. I did have some minor repairs needed after job was completed & Gladiator did send employee to fix those issues promptly. During my re-piping job on the 3rd night workers stayed until 11 pm working & on the 4th night I asked workers to leave at 9 pm because I was exhausted & frustrated so I believe I was accommodating to Gladiator employees because they were based in San Jose & I live in North Highlands.

The primary leak took a while to diagnose, but once his guys knew what to do, they did the job extremely well and the work came in under his estimate.
Really appreciate James' expertise and willingness to talk with me and help me figure out what to do. We had an additional three small leaks that his team found and fixed. We are now leak free!

They repiped our house and installed RO filter and water softener, and then patched the wall perfectly. They even went above and beyond and replaced leaking parts of our water heater. We tested heavy metal and TDS in our water before/after and are very happy with the results! Would definitely recommend them to my friends!

We noticed our water heater tank continuously filling yesterday and by late afternoon noticed it had started leaking. Thanks to Cynthia even though it was 4:00 pm she was able to get someone to come and diagnose the problem. Ended up we needed a new tank. Gladiator were able to sneak in an order for tank and part before their supplier closed for the day at 5 pm. They started to empty the old tank completely while running around to collect other parts. True champions they replaced the old tank with a new one and even ran away and back to help instal a drip collection pan and instal overflow drainage pipe. They stayed until around 8:00 pm to complete the job with true professionalism. I give them 5 stars fir coming through at such short notice and doing the fantastic replacement job within a day and after normal work hours.

This company and crew is awesome. We had a nightmare scenario right before New Years. All our drains backed up, and I looked in the crawl space and saw a major leak. A plumber came out that down and found 3 more leaks under the house. He told me I could pitch the problem or replace all the drains and take 4-5 days. I called James at Gladiator, he quoted me a lower price and said they'd get it done in a day. He assembled the full crew and they knocked it out on New Year's Eve and even helped with a couple other small issues while they were here, all at a low price! They were friendly, responsive, clean, and walked me through all the work when they finished to make sure I was happy. Outstanding I would use them any time and recommend them fully!!

First off, I am very glad that I hired Gladiator Repipe. When I first called the company Yuri came to give estimate. The price quoted to repipe it with copper was very reasonable for small single story house built in late 1960's. That was the good news. Then he gave me bad news (for me) that the drain pipe was also leaking and needed to be replaced eventually.

I asked for the estimate for both copper repipe and replace drain pipe and he said the company will need one day to repipe the house and next day to dig and replace drain pipes. The revised estimate jumped to little bit over double which was ouch for me. I think most home owners are thinking repiping home with copper but not drain.

I had the option of just doing copper repipe to hold down cost and eventually deal with drain problem later but that later would be much more expensive then if I take care of it now at once so I bit the bullet and went for more expensive but necessary repair.

I decided to hire Gladiator Repipe based on the fact that I was given detailed information of kind of repair that was required, reasonable price, speed, efficiency and lastly when I asked when can they start, Yuri said, ""We can start next day"" which was unexpectedly fast start.

I lucked out in that the company had open slot for next day.

And the company really delivered. House was repiped with new USA made L size copper in one day. Next day they came to dig and replace drain pipe. Very fast, very efficient with almost military precision. After 50 years of usage, the old galvanized water pipes looked ugly inside.

I have requested estimate from another company and that one quoted me estimate for repipe that was higher than Gladiator and furthermore that estimator did not point out problem with drain pipe. The time required to repipe home was 3-5 days instead of one day from Gladiator.

Once repipe and drain replacement was done the company did leak test and ran camera through drain pipe to see how well the water exited the residence. Unfortunately, camera test showed pipe had shifted where residential drain pipe meet with city controlled drainage pipe which created partial blockage of waste water.

After further consultation with Gladiator about the blockage I decided that portion of repair can wait as waste water is still going through to city pipe. Per Gladiator the shift in pipe was not recent and was there for a while. If I am lucky I may not have to do anything.

Waiting for permit inspection took much longer than actual time spent replacing pipes and drains.

Once the permit inspection was done sheetrock person came next day and patched up the holes around the house and he was very good at it.

If you want balance in cost, quality, speed and efficiency I would definitely recommend Gladiator Repipe. You may not get next day service like I have but I really believe you will be happy with their quality work.

Gladiator will do Pex pipe which is somewhat cheaper than copper but Pex has estimated life of 25 years whereas copper is warrantied for life.

Not long after second and final permit inspection I found minor leak in master bedroom bathroom. I called the company and they scheduled follow-up checkup/repair the next day. Gladiator will stand behind their work.

James and his crew are very knowledgeable, professional & organised. The office assistants are methodical in scheduling everything - work, inspection & followup. They finish the Sheetrock afterwards and cleanup after themselves. Jose, Carlos & crew are punctual and word hard to give complete satisfactory job.

James was great! He was responsive to my questions and helped guide me through the repiping process from start to finish. He helped me understand the difference between copper and pex piping. (We went with copper)Along with doing a full copper repipe, they also helped me install a tankless water heater and replace the main water line from the street as the galvanized pipe was beyond repair. They weren't the least expensive bid we received but well worth it! The guys at Gladiator are thorough, professional, and knowledgeable! I would definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to anyone!

Gladiator did a one-day copper re-pipe of our 1970s house. They pulled all the mostly clogged galvanized steel pipe all the way down to the water meter at the street and did a great job. They keep a skilled crew that are very professional and Gladiator makes sure everything you want done, gets done and all while keeping your property clean and professionally patching everything when done.

They did such a great job we had them come back later in the year when we were having issues with old PVC waste water line (of which we'd had many problems in the three years we lived here) and did a whole house replacement of that, as well. Everything is working great and guaranteed. They're friendly, understanding and clearly explain things. I'd highly recommend them for any plumbing job!
