Gerald Alldredge was originated in Houston in 1948, making him a seventh-generation Texan with a ancestor who fell at the Alamo (Jonathan Lindley) and another who was a soldier alongside General Sam Houston at San Jacinto (Hiram Little). Gerald's military background includes time with the 593rd Signal Group, 1st Battalion, during Vietnam, and also with the 2nd of the 12th, 1st Air Cavalry, in Vietnam. In 1969, he began his career with Gene Welch Plumbing, acquiring knowledge in residential plumbing. He was employed there for three years until he earned his journeyman license. He then worked for Freddie Bailey Plumbing, focusing on residential repair plumbing for a year. He earned his master plumbing license MPL8635. He then worked for Walter Pickett at John Moore Plumbing, learning expertise in business plumbing.

Gerald has served as a past president of PluMeCo-Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Council of Harris County. He is the founder and first president of AMP-Associated Master Plumbers of Harris County.
