Wow. AVOID THESE PEOPLE. You would think that somebody who drives a commercial vehicle would know the rules of the road. I was biking down a quiet neighborhood street on the side of the road, as there was no bike lane. I was trying to stay close to the edge as to not inconvenience passing drivers. Then a Gimler Plumbing truck behind me honked at me. I stopped at the stop sign, and he pulled up right next to me, less than a foot from me, almost grazing me. He then told me to get out of the road as he was """"not trying to run into oncoming traffic"""" (there were no cars on the whole street) and asked me if my mother ever told me to stay out of the road... LOL. I think it is safe to say that this employee has some problems. I would highly suggest staying far from this business. As to the employee driving the truck, I hope you find peace one day!

They came in highly recommended but had a bad experience with them when the main water line of the house broke. Pros: - They tried hard to fix the problem the same day and worked late into the night Cons: - First estimate was for $1600 and tried to bill me $3200 - They chose the wrong path for new pipe and as a result it took them a lot longer to be able to dig the hole because they had to route it below a wall. - They did not flush the line correctly and I ended up with sand in all the pipes/faucet/fill valves of the house. They tried to blame the problem on the main house valve owned by the city and tried to avoid taking responsibility initially telling me I would have to replace the faucets myself. It became clear that it was their fault when we got tons of sand out from every single faucet and toilet. They finally agreed cleaned the pipes with a vacum and were able to get a lot of the sand out. One of the faucets was not fixed and they don't want to take responsibility for it. - They broke sprinkler system pipes when they dug Overall: They tried to help but rushed the job and avoided taking responsibility for mistakes they made. They even suggested get recurring jobs to fix the things they broke in the first place.

I walked in to the retail store after being recommended by a local hardware store. I needed a six inch extension for my shower arm. Gimler sold me a 6 inch shower arm and a coupler for $31.00. I carefully applied teflon tape, but water blew out both ends of the coupler. I took it to Lowes for advice and they said the threads mismatched. They sold me some teflon based thread sealer to use instead of the tape, no success. I found the perfect part online, that was shipped to me the next day via prime. It was a purpose built shower arm extension from Lux. 16.00 and it worked perfectly. I decided to just throw out the parts from Gimler rather than mask up again for their store.

I did not have them do any plumbing for me, but they also sell hard to find plumbing parts and they will order stuff you can't find at HomeDepot. Very friendly staff helped me find the replacement shower handle that I needed.

Let me say, Gimler plumbing sent me an Angel. I called and Tommy Gimler was there in 1/2 hour, spoke on the phone to my husband about our issues and he got right to work, he knows his craft. We were getting a bad sewer sewer smell. While he was removing my outside block, two precious pictures I had searching for dropped in my hands, another blessing. Can't say enough about my experience, Tommy is so personable and made such a hard job look easy, I HIGHLY recommend this local company!!!

So after filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Gimler Plumbing is now trying to say there was no smoke at the time they left the job...well they left the job at 12:30 p.m. and smoke was filling the hallway of my condo by 1:15 p.m....they are trying to say it was debris behind the wall which caused the fire when I """"watched"""" the plumber fold up a Crate and Barrel cardboard box and place it behind the wall...they are trying to say there wasn't any damage to the materials that they installed due to the fire.....kind of hard to damage toilets and faucets when the fire was a """"smoke fire"""" which ruined all ceilings, walls, carpets, clothing, mattresses, sofas, etc....they are saying the company I hired was up to me.....in fact it was the company that Gimler sent to my condo that evening....they did all the repairs and submitted the estimate to Gimler for the cost of repairs....again, the company Gimler sent.....and you have to love their closing statement....accidents happen.... I agree accidents do happen, however, I should not have an outstanding invoice which is over and above what the insurance company would pay. I should not be responsible for the remaining monies due..... DO NOT USE GIMLER PLUMBING....unless of course you are willing to chance that you know """"accidents happen""""

Sadly a very unethical company. Horrible workmanship and then they over Bill you. The explanation is simply """"you live in a big house you can afford to just pay it."""" Extreme arrogance, rudeness, and greed. Later we had to bring in a real plumber to fix everything later. .To be avoided. There are plenty of good plumbers around you don't need these people.

Gimler plumbing arrived promptly on time and left when they said they would. They had located a cartridge that had failed in my shower wall and installed it efficiently and timely with no mess left over. Very polite technicians and helpful and fair. I highly recommend Gimler Plumbing.

It is important to be able to call a competent family business, knowing that I can trust them to do a great job for a fair price. Now I can see why they have been in business for 100 years!

Gimler has been around Deerfield Beach as long as I have and I got here in 85. They are pretty expensive. but with the expense comes a job done right. I could have shopped around to save 50 or 60 bucks but I couldn't be sure who ever I found would fix what needed to be fixed correctly and I wouldn't be spending money again a couple months down the road. If you have a problem and want it fixed save your pennies and give them a call
