I'd like to relate the level of satisfaction with Gillespie, but I can't seem to get them to come to my house. All I want is a second whole house water filter. They want to put in a $4200 water softener. I've tried calling and emailing the plumbing manager for 4 months, with little response to show for it. There aren't a lot of options for plumbing around here, but, clearly, Gillespie isn't one of them.
J started with Gillespie Fuels. They left one tank, said they left two, and charged me for propane in that tank not left! It has been less then a month, and every piece of paperwork I received from them has been wrong. Do not trust this co.! Do not use this co.! I will be stopping doing business with them when this tank is empty. Again, do not trust these people!! Run!!
Lizzie F.I wish I could leave a 0 start review. I have never been more disappointed by a professional service than I am with Gillespie. The employees are belittling and dishonest. After telling them over and over that our furnace needed maintenance, Gillespie employees continually told us that we were wrong and that the furnace is fine. Well, we just had the fire department here because the furnace was so backed up with fuel that it started smoking profusely. The fire dept. told us we were lucky that there was not an explosion. I will never, ever use Gillespie again and I strongly advise that you all do not use them. STAY AWAY!
Erica B.I've lived in the area for a few years now and moved into a place serviced by Gillespie. I have propane and kerosene. Not only do they forget to deliver but they also charge me for things they did not deliver. I ran out of kerosene in the middle of the winter last year and they insisted I wasn't on auto delivery when I know I was... it was a very cold night for myself and my two children. They wouldn't make an emergency delivery because we were too far out for them. They mess up billing every cycle and I am afraid to sign up for the monthly payment because I don't trust they keep very good track of their finances. There are months that work out fine which is why I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt but I just now ran out of propane on a Sunday and my pickle operation is ruined so I'll be checking out alternatives week!
I've been having a lot of issues with this company.
I've lived in northfield for a few months and I'm in disbelief.
They routinely forget to fill our tank, and I've had to go in to the store to find out how they will solve that problem, phone calls didn't help.
They installed a heat source in our basement to fight frozen pipes, but the workers were vocally upset about having to work ""after hours,"" did a shoddy job and created an oil spill in our basement, requiring the FIRE DEPARTMENT to dispatch two trucks this morning. Meanwhile their ""after hours"" grumbling leads to us and our duplex neighbors with small children being without warm water for the fourth day in a row.
They were supposed to defrost our pipes finally today, but neglected to show up.
My landlord, roommates, neighbors and I have been on the phone constantly with them for days now.
It's ""after hours"" now and the worker who answered the phone was so UNBELIEVABLY rude.
I was calling to ask if the oil smell throughout our house was safe or if I should call the fire department again, and instead of listening to me she told me it was after hours (AT 4:40???! Isn't 5:00 the end of the day?) and she ALSO told me she would not speak to me because I am not the landlord.
Does this mean they also will not accept my payments, since I'm not the landlord and all? Because at this point, why am I paying at all.
