I had a small leak in a pipe for my outside faucet in the basement. Dave came out and after looking for a while said he couldn't find the leak. He said that if we found the leak he would come back out to fix it, but that's what I hired him to do. I was charged a service call fee and he left. Today I had another plumber come out and he found the leak in under five minutes. I have used Gill in the past but probably won't anymore.

Jim has done a half dozen jobs at my house over the last 25 years or so, both plumbing and A/C work. I have never had a issue with any of his work, or charges. Guess that's why I keep going back. Local,fair, and quality workmanship.

Gill saved the day again! If you want quality work that will last, this is the company you want to contact! My air recently went out. I called Gill and they came out right away, they ran diagnostic tests and were able to fix the problem and get my air back up and running! They also fixed many instalation problems from a person that the previous home owner used. I won't trust anyone else with my plumbing, heating, and cooling repairs!

Grate Place to work with trying to run my business and the contractor that was hired by the city was giving the run around on what needed to be done to hook back up the water meter. Other Plumbers would not help and walked away Gill's stuck by me and cut though the red tape lies and miss information and found out really had to be done and fixed the issue the best and most inexpensive way possible. If you need a good Plumer they are the best.. Thanks guys your a life saver.

Gill's installed a carrier furnace for me and the secondary heat exchanger went out on us. The company had issues with this furnace and had made an enhanced warranty for it. After DTE found the issue I called Gill's to have the issue corrected since he was the one that installed it.Carrier's warranty covers the part plus labor but Jim the owner told me carrier does not pay enough for him to fix it and wanted an additional 800 for labor and the part was covered by carrier company.Carrier recommend Expert heating and cooling to do job with not cost to me. Way to look out for a long time customer Jim, left me with no heat and basically told me to bite it and find someone else willing to do the job.I will never use this company again. lesson leanered ,use a company that stands behind what they sell.

I cannot recommend Gill Plumbing & Heating at all. My husband asked me to choose a plumber for work in our bathroom. (The work was to replace a 4' x 4' section of subfloor under our toilet, due to a slow leak, replace the toilet itself, the pipe flange, *and* lay new vinyl sheet flooring in that corner (a cut piece of vinyl, to be butted against a larger piece after toilet was bolted to floor--the larger piece we would have laid, using flooring tape). My husband works long hours, so I researched downriver area companies and chose Gill based on how long the company has been in business. I naively thought since they've been in business over 30 years that they had to be good at plumbing.

Well, my husband actually set up the appointment and when discussing the work while on the phone, he was *assured* the flooring work COULD be done. When the employee arrived to look at what needed to be done, he couldn't have been less interested...seemed almost bored. He told my husband he 'had to find a guy to lay the subfloor and vinyl and would call us back'. He never called back. He could have easily said 'I can't do the flooring work' or 'we don't know anyone who would do the flooring work', and we would have said okay.

We waited a week for a return call, then called another company who is doing the work soon.

Needed free on for central unit asked him come out before 1:00 came 1:30 same day I waited all Am for him heard nothing he said he couldn't read his secretary handwriting he did come next day charge 230$ cash 2.5 of free on for central air he is nice my hubby asked where we're screws for our unit I said I have no clue missing parts now from unit I'm aware he can't see up close well so maybe hard see idk anyways I wouldn't recommend because of those reasons

They replaced my sump pump and broke my water backup refused to repair it .Lied about the problem . I called another plumber he told me they broke the lever on the water line and put it back in a position that hid what they did .

They came out to my home on a Monday. Reviewed work I required. Was told that the quote would be emailed to me. I followed up two days later when I still hadn't received anything; was told they were busy and would get around to it. One week later and still no quote. I obviously took my business elsewhere.
