whoa boy, let me tell you. its been such a long time since i had anything done, but it was time to get my pipes cleaned!
i googled the nearest company as i required some extra care for my needs. before I knew it i had 3 guys at my door ready to service me! i let them in and showed them the goods and they each took their turns going over and making sure i was satisfied! and boy was i!

Ive had my pipes cleaned before, even took some turns with different services to see which one pleased me the most. some would just dig in and get right to it, which is fine but in my experience its always more efficient to gently work your way around and get acquainted before the action starts. these guys were great and experiencing their work was something ill never forget. i mean these guys really laid down some serious pipe. by the time they were done the place was a mess but they went above and beyond and took the time to clean up as well! i never been serviced like this before and ill be sure to tell everyone about it!

now i just gotta find someone to unclog my sink.

Fantastic service and great communication! Couldn't be more pleased with the result, which saved my mother ~$9,000 in unnecessary work.

I contacted Gerry (based on very positive yelp! reviews) to request a second opinion for work my mother was told was necessary by another plumber - replacing a gas water heater and completely replacing all the waste water pipes under the house, as they were found to be leaking and posed a health hazard . My mother lives alone (and I live 3,000 miles away in CA). I was immediately suspicious, as I had been home visiting my mother just a few months prior to this and had been in the crawl space under the house and didn't notice any pipes leaking and certainly didn't smell sewage. The total estimate for replacing the water heater and waste water piping was over $9,000.
I contacted Gerry through his web site and asked him to call my mother directly to schedule a site visit to see if this work seemed necessary. Gerry did so and emailed me to let me know he left my mother a voicemail. A day or so later, Gerry emailed me again to let me know one of his crew (Rob) stopped by and found that the water heater was fine and did not need to be replaced.
Additionally, he said the drain pipes under the house were not leaking. Rob did find a problem with a plastic drain under the house and quoted my mother $150 to repair, which she agreed to have repaired.
So, Gerry Palermo saved my mother ~$9,000 and gained a helluva lot of respect and gratitude from me. I just wish he had an office out near me in CA!!

After several bad experiences with local plumbers who either gave astronomical estimates or just were not competent; I tried Gerry Palermo Plumbing, even though I am always suspicious when a business does not have a lot of reviews. I am so glad I did!

They came out to give an estimate, were very honest in their assessment and scheduled a date to come back and do the work.

On the day in question, not only did Gerry himself come out, he and his crew were very professional, did a GREAT job and the cost was very reasonable and fair.

They are now my go to plumbers in Somers Point. I will use them for any plumbing need in their service area.

Gerry is a very professional, personable and honest businessman. I was concerned about whether it was time to replace my 17 year old hot water heater. After seeing the unit, Gerry said we would not have to replace it for a long time and gave me signs to check to consider a replacement. Simply the best Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning company in the southern Jersey Shore area - especially Ocean City, NJ. After being overcharged for basic things from another HVAC company, I grew frustrated but didn't do anything about it initially.

Then my system failed on a weekend when I had a bunch of guests staying with us and I asked a local friend who he would call for HVAC help. He immediately responded saying ""Gerry Palermo is the only firm I would recommend. He's honest, he has a good team that does good work and is very responsive. He stands by his work"".

I can tell you that everything my friend said about this company is true.

His team has come out on a holiday weekend when my system failed and we had company. They were able to temporarily fix the unit enough to get it through the weekend and then came back to replace it. I have found their pricing to be reasonable - not the cheapest, but far from the most expensive, and well worth it given their honesty and integrity.

One time, my family arrived at the shore in the dead of winter to find out furnace would not start. I tried everything but it still would not ignite. So I threw the breaker to stop it from continually trying to start and called Gerry Palermo. His team came out the next day and as soon as they threw the breaker back on.....you guessed it....The furnace fired right up without an issue. I must have tried resetting the breaker 3 or 4 times to no avail. His team stayed there for almost an hour testing the system and validating that everything was OK. I felt really bad about it, but was happy that it seemed to be working ok.

After we went back to our home in PA, we received an invoice from them. It explained everything that was done and that no issue was found. The total charge: $0.00! I couldn't believe it! Who does that in today's world?!

I will always use Gerry Palermo Plumbing & Heating for my Plumbing & HVAC needs and will always highly recommend them to anyone who wants to work with an honest, reasonable group.
