Was told to call office for phone consultation. Office had no idea what was being requested and gave attitude and snippy remarks when explaining the project. I had yelp narrow project down for contractors providing free estimates. This company said it is $79 for them to 'look' at the project.

The plumber that came out to the house was absolutely great. He did a great job, was personable & respectful. The wait time to get someone in to do it was a lot less than other plumbers for a non emergency service. The guy I spoke to on the phone over the weekend was also great. However, they quoted me one price over the phone over the weekend, when someone called on Monday to schedule the service she said ""oh, he gave you a nice discount for that"" then when the plumber came onsite he charged my mother $100 more than the highest end of the quote. Originally, I asked to install a valve & a dishwasher. Turns out the valve was already there, but it did end up needing replaced. So they charged $100 more for less than 2 hours of work and a easier job that originally quoted. They also took down part of my basement ceiling to see how the dishwasher was draining, that I now have to replace, so it is going to cost even more money to repair that now as well.

It would be better to live with a plumbing problem than to call Gerard Plumbing. They don't know what they are doing but they are very good at charging for their services. The first one came to the house made a problem - that I paid for - and they sent the next guy to fix the problem.
He did not have the tools to remedy the problem. Here is a repair person without tools. Stay far away from Gerard plumbing. Very far!!

I called Gerard Plumbing to correct a plumbing problem created by another Plumbing company. Their technicians are professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. They came at the appointed time, and they called ahead. They were in and out doing the job to my complete satisfaction. In the future they will be the only plumbers I will call.

Michael was just out at my house to service my furnace. He could not have been nicer and more professional. I am not very savvy when it comes to furnaces but he answered a few questions I had. Could not recommend this company enough.

We are in the process of selling my mom's house and have had several issues come up where we needed a plumber. Every time we called, we were quickly put on the schedule and given the cost upfront. Technicians Larry and Dan both arrived either early or on time and did the job perfectly. We would without a doubt, recommend Gerard Plumbing to anyone who needs this type of work done......don't try to do it yourselt....call Gerard!

Revised: After my mom called and voiced her feelings about the whole affair, they did give her a partial refund. I still can only go two stars because;
1. It wasn't a significant refund
2. They still way over charged for something that took him exactly 3 minutes to fix. He did not even have to snake the toilet.

I would give zero stars if that was an option. i have been a customer of Gerard Plumbing for many years. After having a home humidifier installed, I was appalled when I received the bill showing $480.07 hourly service charge. I will share this bill with anyone who is
interested so they do not get involved with unscrupulous businesses. I guess when you purchase t.v. time to advertise, you can brag about customer service whether it is true or not.
