Company Overview

The George T. Sanders Company specializes in plumbing and heating supplies. Our main clients include plumbing, heating, and mechanical contractors. Our service area encompasses significant population centers in Colorado, along with Casper and Cody, Wyoming. Though we are a small, closely-held company, we proudly belong to the Affiliated Distributors (A-D) network. A-D serves as a buying cooperative and provides valuable resources for technical and business matters relevant to companies like ours across the nation.

In 1950, on April 1st, George T. Sanders and his wife Pauline opened a modest business to serve heating contractors in Denver, Colorado, with sheet metal and other supplies. They started their operations at 1111 Stout Street in the heart of Denver. The company moved to 7821 West Colfax Avenue in Lakewood in 1952 due to growth.

The company relocated again in 1962 to a new facility at 1365 Harlan Street. Prior to this, the emphasis was mainly on heating and sheet metal services. Deciding to branch into plumbing proved to be one of the most significant choices the company made. Today, George T. Sanders Company is recognized as one of the leading plumbing supply houses in Colorado.

In 1965, the company purchased property at 1370 Harlan Street, directly across the street. In 1966, we constructed a metal warehouse along with a small office area on this property. New product lines were introduced, and we expanded our team. Reed is the Manager at George T. Sanders Company.
