Company Overview

The George T. Sanders Company specializes in plumbing and heating supplies. Our main clients include plumbing, heating, and mechanical contractors. We currently operate in major population areas across Colorado, as well as Casper and Cody in Wyoming. Though we are a small, closely-held company, we proudly belong to the Affiliated Distributors (A-D) network. The A-D group acts as a buying cooperative and offers excellent support for technical and business challenges faced by companies like George T. Sanders.

George T. Sanders and his wife Pauline launched their small company on April 1, 1950, to supply sheet metal and other materials to heating contractors in Denver, Colorado. The business began at 1111 Stout Street in downtown Denver. By 1952, the company had outgrown its first location and relocated to 7821 West Colfax Avenue in Lakewood.

The company relocated again in 1962 to a new facility at 1365 Harlan Street. Prior to this, the emphasis was mainly on heating and sheet metal services. Deciding to branch into plumbing proved to be one of the most significant choices the company made. Currently, George T. Sanders Company is known as a top plumbing supply house in Colorado.

The company bought land at 1370 Harlan Street in 1965, right across from our previous location. A metal warehouse and a small office were established on this site in 1966. We continued to add new product lines and hire additional staff. At George T. Sanders Company, Reed holds the position of Manager.
