This morning I called Patey and Sons for a failing heating system (forced hot water radiators). They had someone to my house in 30 minutes! The work was done professionally, I was given updates as it went along, and the two men worked quickly. Despite some challenges found along the way everything was wrapped up and heat was working again in no time. Would definitely recommend them and will use them again.
I am not sure about the quality of work, but Ellen, the receptionist, promises call backs and doesn't deliver. I called three times and gave up.
Worked with Brandon to install an irrigation meter and pressure reducing valves. They showed up when promised, gave a very reasonable estimate. They then showed up on promised date and finished all the work quickly and professionally. They also promptly came back to fix an issue that resulted from miscommunication. The final price was exactly as promised. Highly recommend.
NIkky G.Professional but in the end couldn't get the job done. Called them last year for a Leaking shower and a forced hot water system that didn't work: the shower valve was replaced, but it still leaks and the heating system worked fine last year but this year the valve they put on one furnace doesn't work, the one they didn't touch works fine. Still searching for a good plumber.
I have used Patey Plumbing for years. I find them to be professional, courteous, fair, and efficient.
It's hard to find companies like this and I am grateful. Last week they installed a water heater , removing the old one. Solid, quick work. They cleaned up on the way out. I could not be happier.
Patey and Sons was honest and potentially saved me thousands of dollars. My hot water heater failed. I had 2 different heating /plumbing companies come out and give me an estimate on replacing my old water heater. One of the companies was a group I had used previously to install my heating system, and I had previously been on a routine maintenance plan with. Both of these companies gave me really high estimtates for replacing my hot water heater, and seemed mostly interested in selling me additional things I didn't need. Both claimed that they couldn't give me an estimate on the cost of a similar water heater with a 10 year warranty. They said that they typically don't sell those (they prefer 5 year warranty heaters, but couldn't give me a good reason why since the 10 year warranty models cost minimally more and provides another 5 years in warranty coverage). Seeking a 3rd opinion, I called Patey and Sons. The first thing they did on the phone was ask me to give them the serial number of the water heater to find out if it was still under warranty. I did and it was. Neither of the other two companies even checked, despite being on site and able to find out with minimal effort. Patey then replaced it quickly and efficiently with a new comparable model and then followed through regarding having the warranty cover the materials. Needless to say I won't call those other companies again.
E S.One of their employees caused damage to my car while in their work van and refused to pull over. I called management to report them of this and they told me ""well, you have our information"" and were not at all helpful. Extremely unimpressed with their customer service.
I called Patey this morning and they appeared within one hour. This is probably about the fourth time they have responded within hours. And the plumbers are knowledgeable and friendly as well -
Pat P.A great company for jobs large and small. Always responsive and sensitive to your timelines. Skilled and trained staff who get the job done right the first time.

Cidi C.I called Patey plumber and set up an appointment for my leaking shower tub. They were very busy and I got an appointment for one week later. I thought it's a little bit too far away, but it's also a good sign that many people use their service. So I agreed to wait for a week. Another reason is the price. I called two other plumbers and they either did not return my call or charge $79 for the trip alone, plus high hourly rate. Patey plumber charges $45 for the trip and $92 per hour with minimum of half hour charge. So one would have to pay at least $91 for their service. I don't know why plumbers charge such a high hourly rate, but that's what almost all plumbers I called charge. So I have to reluctantly accept the rate. I patiently waited one week and Patey plumber called exactly the time (8 AM) they were suppose to call me and told me they were on their way to my house.
The guy was very efficient and I provided him with as much help as I can to smooth things out. And he did a wonderful job quickly fixed the leak within less than an hour. We live in a 100 years condo with very old plumbing systems, so that's not easy. I was a little worried that he will milk the rate up like two other reviews suggested, but he did not. He only charged me 40 min of his time which is exactly the time he spent at the job. I asked him to estimate two other leaks and he was very knowledgeable and told me a quick quote without the part price which the secretary called to tell me an hour later.
The whole experience was just as good as it gets. So I am giving them 5 stars. I will call them next time for my plumbing needs.
