We've been a customer for years and our only complaint has been the rude woman who answers the phone...Carol. However, after this last issue we will not call them back. First, we were given a time frame between 3 & 5 pm. Since this is a rental, time frame is important. At 4:56 Carol called to tell us the worker would be there at 5:30, my husband agreed. He tried to move his scheduled appointment (he has a job himself) but was not able to change the time. He called Carol back at 4:48....no answer, so he left a message. Carol called him back about 30 minutes later and she was so angry that we were not able to meet the worker. When my husband told her that he tried to call her back within two minutes, she hung up on him. Two days later, she called to try and re-schedule. Never going to happen.

George and his son are so nice. They have referred another plumber to us to do bigger jobs, and he was also very nice. Baird Drain Service is losing their good reputation because of horrible customer service. Carol needs to find another job, she obviously hates her job and resents having to speak to anyone on the phone.

I have used Baird drain for many many years, and will continue for many many more. They provide a fast efficient service. Bairds Drain is organized. They find out where I live and plan an appointment so their technician can get to my job the wuickest. They schedule an appointment, come on time, finish quickly, and never try to up sell. I have had bathroom, kitchen and main line clogs, they clear them out quickly, and haven't been stumped yet.

This company kept me waiting for 24hours with a promise to come fix a main line stoppage. I called several times, 2 nights in a row they said the next day was all they had. Don't waste your time, there are reliable companies around after all.

Have used Baird for over a decade on various rental properties in OB. My maintenance person had them over last week for a $75 drain snaking. They cleared the clog and, as usual, offered a 30 day guarantee.

The next day the same drain clogged. The maintenance guy tried to get ahold of them at least five times. He left a couple of messages. He finally got someone else and got it fixed.

It is now 5 days later and still no call back, apology or offer to partially refund the $75. They have lost my business and that of all the other apartment owners my maintenance person works for.

Great, super reasonable, drain service. I used George twice, and another employee once. Only issue I had for the last one was the inability to get a good time estimate of service, so I waited around a while.

Would highly recommend Baird for any drain issues!

Sewage backed up into 2 bathtubs and 1 toilet. This had never happened before in my 28 years at this North Park older home. My regular plumber diagnosed the problem, but he no longer goes up on roofs. He heartily recommended Baird as reasonable, expert, dependable and fast. Boy! was he right on all counts.
Carol gave me a same-day appointment and Louie was here on time.
He cleared the line completely and said the pipe was in good shape
with no invasion of tree roots. It would have been easy to inflate the
job and overcharge me, I would have no way of knowing the difference.

I was a repeat customer, having used Baird Drains to clear my tub and sink several times, but after this last experience, no more. Our kitchen sink was backed up on Monday so I called late afternoon (about 4:30) and left a message. The next day I did not receive a call back, so I called again about 11:00, and it was obvious that they had not even listened to my message so the not so nice woman told me they would call me back. About an hour and a half later she called to tell me they wouldn't make it until the next day. Ugh! I had a kitchen sink backed up with stinky water, dishes to do, and food to cook, but I agreed to wait, mainly because their prices are good.

So the next morning she called to tell me someone would be there between 9:30 and 11:30. My husband was home so I let him know. The next thing I know about 10:00 my husband texted me to let me know he made the guy leave. When I called my husband, he said that the guy showed up groggy and stoned/wasted and stared at the sink for several minutes and asked my husband for a bucket, which he had forgotten to bring. My husband said he was slurring his words and seemed to not know what to do. So my husband kicked him out.

Well the normally rude woman called me a few hours later and said they would send someone else, no apologies when I told her the issue, but seemed like she'd heard this complaint before. My husband said no way, we could find another company.

Before, I tolerated the rudeness of the woman because at least they seemed to be prompt and efficient, but it's not worth the money anymore. Their service has gone down hill. We contacted Anthony Carlson Drain Service (found here on Yelp) and he came out within an hour, cleared our drain for a great price, and even offered my not-so-handy husband some tips to do it ourselves if we wanted.

Don't waste your time on Baird, the price isn't worth the poor service.

I love this drain service! They are quick and so efficient and really get to the root of the problem. They talk to you in an intelligible way to help you understand how to make your plumbing better! Not to mention they are so fast! I called and George was there within 15 minutes to help me! My dad goes to this plumbing service for all of his houses! We love them!

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Least accommodating service imaginable. I arranged for a plumber to come fix my kitchen sink. I carved a two hour window out of my work day in order to be there for the plumber to arrive. I waited around watching time pass and he never showed up. I rescheduled, was given a large window of time where I had to rearrange my schedule to be available for them, and ONCE AGAIN THEY DID NOT SHOW UP. Unbelievably frustrating. I regret wasting all this time trying to work with them again instead of calling a competent service to get my problem fixed. Don't make my mistake.
