I have not actually had the pleasure of doing business with this company, however I would like to detail the encounter my husband and I had with an employee in a service truck. We pulled out from our driveway onto a road with a speed limit of 35 and were immediately tailgated through that and then honked at through proceeding 25MPH zone in town by a male employee in a red service truck emblazoned with this companies logo. As the apparent employee pulled up along side of us to turn left at the stop sign, at this point we had reached traffic anyway and could not possibly go any faster anyway, he said to my husband, ""Learn to drive. You need to go back where you came from.""
Considering we had just pulled out from our own home I'm confused as to where this might be that we should go back to. I'm not sure if we were supposed to take this as a racist insult or just a general insult. Perhaps the company would like to clarify.

I have to say that I am satisfied with the service and knowledge that I am dealing with actual bonafide Plumbers,...not Technicians, which is what you will find on the Coast and Central Valley normally. Both the office staff and the super professional Foreman And Apprentice were kind, explanatory, and efficient. When you call for a Plumber, you think that is what you are getting, someone who went to a school, studied and is licensed in Plumbing. Ask carefully my friends, when you think you have a good rate- are they actual plumbers or self taught contractors or guys that didn't get any certification standards- just the guy who owns it (and prob not the guy on your job)? This is why you want to have a shop that has Union guys who are super trained in their field and are not into the sales pitch, but actually fixing your problem. Your plumbing is expensive and and Needed asset in your home. Do you really want to chance it with someone that may or may not have CA state compliant service? George Wilson also has a reputation with in the industry because another Plumber we had sent out from home warranty (they send out who they send out) said Very good things about the company and their employees. That speaks volumes. I would feel comfortable with a major project with this company. Union education and knowledgeable about situations that may and do come up.Professional and respectful. I recommend.

Unfortunately their window to come by was 8-8:30. The only half hour window for the day so I waited a few days to get that window. Bryan arrived at 9:15 with very few parts needed to repair the heater even though I told Bryan what part he needed to fix it and sent him a pic. He said i can usually fix those and I had two spare ones as well. Unfortunately he couldn't fix them and drove over to APED to get it. Finally got the heater fixed by 11:15 when he called me and went over the bill with me. I didn't want to argue with him so I said bill me. Wanted to charge me 2.5 hours and for the part. I didn't think that was fair so I left a vm for the scheduler at geo. Bryan called me back and basically bitched at me about it. Nice customer service! You would think a manager would have called me but they didn't. I have used Geo Wilson for years for parts and Chris at their parts counter is awesome but won't use them again for repairs.

chris fabricated a base for a 5 ft tall 4 inch diameter stainless tube i bought from them for a brass carriage lamp for my deck.Workmanship was great and a 4 inch flange wouldn't have worked as the tube was not a pipe and therefore was not threaded. Timely execution.Courteous staff very professional folks.Founded in 1921 I can see why they retain clientelle.Kudos for a great job I'm very pleased indeed.

I am very unhappy with the service provided!!! My fiancé called in for a water leak in the ceiling and the plumber came on a Sunday without the proper equipment to find a leak in the ceiling. They charged $1000.00 dollars and now I have three large holes to repair.
He mentioned if he had his camera that was locked up in the shop it would be very easy to see where the leak was originating without cutting large holes in the ceiling.
He spent a couple of hours flushing toilets and running water when obviously he could have spotted the leak right away.
He went on to cut three large holes in the ceiling. H found the leak but didn't have any parts to fix it.
He returned the next day and fixed it quickly.
After reviewing the ticket I notice the time I was charged was a lot more than the time spent. I called and the service dept. receptionist said we had to pay both ways for both trips. The hours were padded.
I tried to talk to the service dept. lady and she was the rudest person I have ever talked to. She wouldn't let me talk and went on to say that I know nothing about plumbing or I would have fixed it myself.
I have been in the construction industry for 30 years so I know different means and methods of the trades.
I tried to talk to her but about the charges and she hung up on me.
Terrible customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!

During the last year, we purchased a new water heater from George Wilson. They came in a timely manner and did an excellent job installing the water heater. SURPRISE!! The installer did not bring the water heater with him, but had someone else in the company bring it out later, and guess what? they charged me extra for delivering the water heater. After nearly a year, we turned the water heater off to flush out the tank as indicated. To our surprise, we could not re-light the heater. We called Geo Wilson to come and re-light, and his man had a very difficult time re-lighting it, and indicated that this was not an unusual problem for this heater. To be on the safe side, he supposedly checked everything, to make sure it was functional and could find nothing wrong with it to have caused it not to re-light, other than the gas pressure was low and I should call PG&E. I did call PG&E, who came out immediately to check the gas pressure. Of course, the pressure was totally within range and had no problem on that end. When the service man saw that it was a Bradford White water heater, he said :""these are extremely hard to light"".
I would not recommend buying a water heater from Geo. Wilson Company, since the only kind they can sell you is the Bradford White brand.

I was referred to Wilson because of their fair prices and great work. I requested service for my older units in the Fretwell Bldg.in Los Gatos. Brian came out and found problems with the orig install from another company that could have led to real problems,Examp. improper fuses, heat venting on electrical panel,no cond. drain installed on one of the units. They will be taking care of all my needs from now on!

Once again, these folks came through with extraordinary and professional service. I called them for a pre-season furnace checkup and Eddie, their service guy, was right on time and went right to work. He found a duct that had disconnected and a small gas leak, which he quickly fixed. Our furnace has never worked better! I trust these guys, as I've purchased a furnace and water heater from them in the past and they've always completed all work on time and at a very reasonable cost. I'm amazed at the consistent quality of their staff, from my initial phone call to the work being completed. Thank-you!

I needed a hood vent cut down ASAP since the appliance installers were at my house- i went to a sheetmetal business and was told they could help me in a week.... Holding back tears i went to geo h wilson and asked if they could cut it down. The woman at the desk went to see what could be done- a man came out with a great, helpful attitude saying he could get it done now! They had no idea that they just saved me from a breakdown. THANK YOU Casey and all at geo h wilson.

New heater installed in 2013, great job, 5 stars. Two years later a part went out, after PGE visit I called Wilson for repair. The person who answered the phone pulled up our record, verified the type of heater, and I told her exactly what part was needed (based on my talk with the PGE person). I asked if the repairman would bring the part, she hedged her answer. Sure enough, he came out (40 minute RT, which customer pays for), verified in ten minutes that it needed the part I said it did, went back to get the part, returned and spent 15 minutes installing the part. Cost -- 2 hours at $128/hr, mostly for two trips from Santa Cruz to SLV, plus the cost of the part of course. When we called to complain, the receptionist said ""he can't carry around parts for every heater"" -- which obviously was hot air, as I asked for a specific part. BE WARNED.
