Joan Leyva (the plumber) arrived on time with a helper. They were quick, professional and efficient. They found the ""water leaking"" source that I had at the apartment and fixed it. They were courteous, polite. Both were masks and kept social distancing while working on the project.

Fixed some crossed pipes, replaced an old compression valve main shutoff valve, noticed a water heater that needed a condensate neutralizer to not corrode our buildings older pips, and fixed a neighbor who was moving out leaky toilet, all told under $1000.

Great guys who know their trade, showed up in the window they gave me, and fixed problems quickly. Don't recommend folks often. They earned it.

This is the 2nd time I've called on Genteel Plumbers for a plumbing problem. Each time, I found them very knowledgeable, with great follow through, and reasonably priced. Marcos & Carlos explained all the options and costs to address the problem. Very quick and efficient with friendly service.

I couldn't agree more on the previous reviews. Genteel are nice people, but they're focusing on selling you the most expensive option without actually solving your root cause!

My toilet was clogged 3 times in the last few weeks. Instead of helping me to understand what potential cause is, they up-sell me the Hydra-jet with a camera which will cause me over 2400! I ended up hire a different plumber after the toilet is being clogged for the 3rd time, the new plumber uses a snake + a camera, which causes a few hundred dollars, but he's able to remove the tree-roots, and patiently walked me through the potential problems and solutions. Genteel Plumbers DIDN'T offer me any of these cheaper options that can actually solve the problems!

SO, please be ready to be paying a much much higher price than you should.

I am blown away by the speed, professionalism, and customer experience of Genteel, and specifically Marcus. I broke the tank on my toilet over yesterday. Many of the competitors quoted around $1000 or more and an estimated repair timeline of Friday at the earliest. Genteel had Marcus and his associate (whose name I regrettably forgot) here in just under 24 hours. They presented me with options and landed at a total cost of just under $700. Additionally, they were super courteous, clean, COVID safe, and really nice. I was also super concerned that it was going to take forever, but they were in and out in well under an hour as well. Top notch!

Genteel replaced my old water heater. Communication was excellent, from the first prompt reply through completion of the job. Service was quick and friendly. I would definitely call them again.

One of the plumbers was training another on the job. It was refreshing to overhear the generous, thoughtful sharing of knowledge to lift up someone who was starting out.

Very responsive to email request. Note that they will not provide you with a quote over the phone or email. They want to come to your house perform an assessment before providing a quote.

I had a kitchen faucet that needed replacement and they had stock (several options) on hand so I said why not out of convenience. I knew it would be marked up a bit.

Indeed the quote was about $150 bucks higher than if you purchased the same faucet and paid for labor only. Despite knowing this I went with them out of convenience and didn't want to deal with it.

I've used Graham and his crew for several plumbing and sewer issues at several locations. Joan the technician is also great - great explanations and solved the issue quickly. They always respond quickly and often can do same day or next day appointments.
