I was in the market for a plumber due to unforeseen circumstances. My kitcen sink was backing up and I was freaking out. Luckily through Yelp I sent out a quote request to local plumbers. Genteel Plumbers were quick to respond via email. Once I got a technician called and scheduled I was calming down. The plumber arrived, quickly assessed the sink and began to work on it. The prices are fair, and the work was done quickly and efficiently. Especially with the world in fear of the Covid 19 they completely sanitized my sink where they touched. I was greatly appreciative of that fact. I hope I never have to go through a clogged sink issue again. If I ever do, I'll know who to call.

A couple weeks ago I had a huge leak coming from my water heater that started to flood my garage. I called around to multiple plumbers and most places wanted to charge me to come out and give me an estimate. They also told me they wouldn't be able to come that same day. Then I found Genteel. My sink was stopped up and my garbage disposal was broken and my sink was smelling. I reached out on yelp to several companies and these guys responded first and willing to come on Saturday. Water was leaking from the back of my washer and couldn't find the source since the unit was located in a narrow walled alcove in my condo kitchen. Called Genteel Plumbers and they said it was likely a hole in the drain pipe because if it was just a blockage there would have been a flood if water v just pooling water on the floor. A hole would require opening up the drywall to replace the pipe. I insisted that they snake for a blockage first and scheduled the repair. Chris came and quickly and professionally verified it was a blockage and in less than an hour he and Marcus moved out the laundry unit, snaked the pipe and resolved the leak. He also checked the drain pipe through to the sewer line and assured me that the pipes were modern and should never have a hole in them, and showed me which of the pipes in the building's garage belonged to my unit so I would have that reference for the future. Chris was courteous and gave additional advice on other plumbing questions I had. I'm happy that Genteel Plumbers listened to me, sent Chris and Marcus and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy plumbing service.

A couple weeks ago, I was quite the damsel in distress: alas ye shower in my abode was regrettably clogged and causing pools of water around my feet that also seeped under the door and into the hallway. It was all quite an inconvenience, especially with visitors in town and the fact that my thick unruly hair left gnarly damp clumps of knots.

Behold, Marcus of Genteel Plumbers! Within the hour, he showed up with a haul of great tools and a friendly attitude, ready to save the day. He carefully and politely explained the likely causes of the plumbing problems plaguing me and my peoples, making sure I understood how everything worked, what solutions we could consider at what cost/timing and then some. In the end we went with some serious high pressure action which comes with a five year warranty!
