Gilberto C.Worst Company ever not professional at all my Home warranty company sent them out and the were complete garbage. Promised to get the clog or stoppage cleared said they were going to go get the equipment then never returned i called 4x and had to email the finally got a response over 4 hours later saying they weren't coming back. F this company the should get 0 stars
Unfortunately for the Im plumber to but i don't have equipment to do the work. They don't know anything don't ever let this company touch your house.
Dash D.DO NOT USE caught all on my surveillance cameras. untruthful and no integrity..... sent on behalf of my insurance company.... He came to the house to repair a leaking Spigot handle.... He was at the house for 10 to 15 minutes told my wife he was done... (he never did the repair) the leak was worse.. my wife wrote him a check and he left. When I called this company 10 minutes after he had left and said my surveillance cameras caught everything and the repair was never done they had nothing to say but I will call you back.... I sense called multiple times reaching out leaving multiple messages... with out any return phone calls..
This plumber was sent by my home warranty company to fix a leak under my bathroom sink. He tightened something to stop the leak, but after he left, I found out my drain would no longer open & close. I called them & they said it was the pop-up. After giving me the run-around for a week, they finally set an appointment, but I waited all afternoon & they never showed up. I called & the man I talked to was very rude, said they'd done me a favor & shouldn't have touched it at all, & I had the choice between a leaking sink or a working drain, or they could replace all the pipes for more money. I called the warranty company who said they could have them come back to look at it again, but I didn't want them in my house again & found my own plumber who took care of everything in a few minutes with no problem. Gennaro's work is awful, their service is awful, their attitude is awful. I will never use them again.
This company is lying to my home warranty company so they don't have to do the job. I wanted my 16 year old tub spout replaced because it is not diverting all of the water to the shower head.... they told the warranty company it was less than 5% so it didn't need to be fixed

Sarah G.If I could give Gennaro's Plumbing negative stars I would. They came out on behalf of our Sears Warranty to fix a water leak on a pipe in the ceiling. We caught the leak early so there was not much water damage on the drywall. He insisted that we re-pipe that section and that the home warranty and our home owners insurance would cover all the cost, so he called in a restoration company to assess the damage, but that he would be back later that day to fix the leak. Mind you we had to turn our water off (Wednesday at 3am) and have 2 adults and 3 kids living in the house with no running water. Needless to say Franco never came back and when I called the office they hung up on me. I called the Sears Home Warranty and they told me per his report that the pipes were not strapped down properly and were rubbing against the wood in the ceiling so it was a construction problem, which Sears doesn't cover. I told Sears how does he know the pipes are not installed properly when he never opened up the ceiling to look at the leak, does he have x-ray vision? They told me they can't say he's lying, WTH! So I am?! I have proof he never looked at the pipes, because there's no hole in my ceiling. Sears said they could send another company for a second opinion but no availability til Monday (5 days without water). I was trying to give the warranty company the benefit of the doubt but after reading the 19 pages of bad reviews on this company through other warranty company calls and regular calls, it really makes me wonder why warranty companies would continue to use this kind of dishonest company unless they like using a company that doesn't approve any work.
Very incompetent and unprofessional! I had my water heater leak so first thing I call my home warranty they told me to turn off the water valve and gas and contain the water so I did that and cleaned up as much water as I could because the heater is in the kitchen and put a fan to dry up the water sooooooo when Gennaros plumber came to inspect of course there's no leak at that time I shut off the water valve! and there's no water on the floor of course not I cleaned it up! When I explained to him what I did he said he believed me that there was a leak but when he send the report to AHS warranty he reported no leak. He LIED to me saying he believed me. He didn't bother doing any thing to check for a leak. How unprofessional and when I called them to ask for an explanation some lady just hung up on me. This company gets paid for going to homes, inspect and submit a report so that's all they care about getting a quick buck!
Paulina O.Our water heater broke . We call American Home Shield they refer Gennaro's pluming . My husband turn off the water from the water heater and drain water . We had water all over the water heater closet to my kitchen floors and outside kitchen door . We ask American home Shield if we could clean water and drain the water heater . They said yes to contain water damage because they only cover the heater. We took video and pictures of everything just in case . This plumber guy Frank came he said he needed to see where the leak was coming from . We show him the video , and pictures . He said : ""I believe you but I can't send your pictures "". He even advices us to take care off the water that went into my kitchen cabinets. We told him we had the contractor that did our kitchen coming by to make sure of any water the went under the cabinets . Frank did his report that my water heater had no leak. Wow !!! Really after the advice Frank !!! And pictures we showed you . This pluming is the worse !! My husband call to ask why Frank said their was no leak this lady that answer hung up didn't even let my husband talk . He was in my house less than 15 minutes did nothing to verify the leak. Very incompetent and unprofessional!
David F.This contractor was sent out on behalf of my home warranty (First American) to inspect a garbage disposal that was no longer working. The plumber arrived, inspected my garbage disposal, reported to me that the garbage disposal was no longer functional and that it was the result of normal wear and tear as it was very old.
The plumber went out to his van to check if he had a replacement and promptly returned to report that he did not have a replacement and that he was going to have to order a replacement and that he would contact me upon the arrival of the replacement.
A week and a half passed without any contact from the plumber so i called the company who reported to me that they submitted the report to my home warranty and were awaiting their approval before they proceeded.
I checked the the status of my service request which stated that the request was ""closed."" I called my home warranty who reported to me that the contractor stated in his report that the garbage disposal was broken due to a screw that he found and that the claim would not be covered.
It may very well be that my garbage disposal was no longer functioning due to circumstances outside of normal wear and tear however that is not what was communicated to me or what i was led to believe. Furthermore the plumber never showed me any screw that he had found in the disposal.
Gennaro's plumbing receives a 1 star only because i cannot give them 0. They not only lied to me about my garbage disposal and that it was going to be replaced but they didn't have the decency to inform me that the service request was closed and I firmly believe that there was never any screw.
If you have had similar experiences with them, please file a formal complaint with the better business bureau, and your home warranty. This business should be held accountable for how it treats its customers.
Charles R.We had Sears home warranty, hot water heater went out, they sent Gennaros as contractor. They agreed new one needed, never contacted us again, would not answer calls. We replaced it ourselves, Sears will not reimburse us for the cost because Gennaros never sent a report.
Worst customer service ever from Gennaros and Sears Home warranty.
