I am so glad I found a smart honest contractor who figured out what was wrong with my electrical outlet so quickly! The last electrician I had come look at it tested it but said he could not do anything because the garbage disposal was in the way. So he charged me $200 and it was still not working. I called General SF because they know how to remove a garbage disposal and would be able to access the electrical outlet. Yevgeny was able to get both outlets working in 15-20 minutes and he did not even need to remove the garbage disposal. I highly recommend him and thank him for doing such a great service!!!

We discovered we had a gas leak on a very cold Saturday night. Yevgeny worked weekend and late hours to get us up and running again--and even caught and fixed some things that another contractor had messed up. The PG&E rep who came to turn our gas back on even commented on the fast and high-quality work. Very highly recommended!

I'm a property owner / landlord in SF, searching for a pro to fix some leaky pipes and electrical issues. Finding Yevgeny via Yelp was like finding a diamond in the rough. He's a real pro and someone I found to be honest and trustworthy. In a through and detailed inspection, he explained exactly what was needed, what SF city codes required, and was extremely knowledgeable about the most-cost effective way to proceed. I've been dealing with a wide variety of contractors and trade people for many years. I'd put Yevgeny in the top 5 of my list.

I thought honest folks in the trades (plumbers, carpenters, contractors, etc) where a lost art or something you only saw from the Mad Men era. Not so with General SF. Yevgeny responded to our plea for help, to restore power to 1/3 of the house after a breaker blew and could not reset. Again, a nod to the past, we live in an 80 year old house in the Richmond District, and things are going to happen. When the 8 year old furnace went out last week, the obvious temporary remedy was space heater(s). Although I know they are notorious amp suckers, we went ahead and got a few. Beats an open fire.

Anyway, when Yevgeny responded, he took the time to photograph and email his recommendations for repairs that should be made down the road. Most importantly, when the breaker blew again, and I could not reset it, he came back free of charge. Customer Service that is without peer. Thanks Yevgeny!

Our experience working with Yevgeny was consistent with what many others have already said: He was reliable. He was very knowledgeable, and he was prompt about completing the work that needed to be done--he took care of our issue the day after our initial phone conversation with him. However, what really stood out was his honesty. We called him about a drainage backup that we had with our ancient washtub, and he asked that we send him a phone shot. After he received it, he came up with two options to resolve the issue, one of which was significantly more costly than the other. If his intentions were to just make a profit, he certainly wouldn't have given us options in which there was such a huge difference in the costs involved. Since we're on a tight budget, we opted for the lower cost solution (which was very reasonable) and he promptly took care of the work within the timeframe that he had given us up front. When he came over to work on the tub, he also gave us useful advice about its maintenance, and about a few other things in our garage. We highly recommend him, and will definitely be calling him in the future if we ever need any more work done around our house.

We have had on-going problems with the plumbing in our 80 year old home. This time it was the kitchen sink, pipes and garbage disposal. Yevgeny talked us through the whole process, and gave us several choices. He is the first plumber to ever suggest replacing the corroded, rusted and cracked pipes! Everything works beautifully now. Yevgeny was also concerned with keeping the work affordable, which we appreciate as young homeowners. We can also attest to the fact that he was pleasant with our dogs and son.
