Ellen is a star! She works in sales and helped us solve a warranty issue, even calling the manufacturers rep. She is very knowledgeable and professional. Very happy we sought her advice. We highly recommend General Plumbing Supply. They have a very nice showroom with lots of choices and obviously back the products they sell. Superb customer service!

Great plumbing supply store. Worked with Kenny on a high end master shower. Helped me with Philyrich Thermostat Cartridge. He is very helpful. No need to go anywhere else for your plumbing supply needs

Had to do some kitchen sink plumbing not only under the sink but behind the walls. Went to General plumbing and everyone was extremely helpful and sold us exactly what we needed....also explained some things to us. They were so helpful and didnt sell us anything we didnt need. Got the job done for approximately $50 and all is perfect!!

Ellen is great!

We were referred here by our contractor to select fixtures for a bathroom remodel. Ellen was our goto person and we set a meeting. In the course of an hour she helped us pick out everything we needed. She included all the items that were needed for the install, beyond the obvious fixtures. Very thorough and knowledgeable.

Good size showroom. We were able to see examples and do side by side comparisons. We quickly narrowed down the options and had it all set for our remodel.

Positive experience.

I'm remodeling my Bathroom so it's easier for my paraplegic husband. I went to get supplies at Home Depot but really since I didn't know what I needed it was a wasted effort! I called General Plumbing & spoke with a very nice woman who said they could help, they sure did! Lou Kosta Sr he put together everything we needed. I also needed a great toilet & they recommended the ToTo. Everyone there was helpful, courteous & knowledgable. I'm never going anywhere else for my plumbing needs. Just go to the pro's & get it done right the first time! thank you General Plumbing!

Our plumbing company comes here A LOT to get materials and tools. Both Lou's, Bob, Stacie, and everyone else I didn't list have so much knowledge on things and they are always willing to help out with a question.

I needed a toilet, a faucet, and a valve for my water line and Erik walked a mile around that whole property leaving no stone un-turned looking for different options while Louis put his work on hold to search the catalogs and computers for other options. They both had a great attitude because they didn't show a hint of frustration for me taking so much of their time and energy. I doubt Louis ever even gets angry because he's so mellow. I wanted to write this review a month earlier because Lou Jr. and Lou Sr. were nice and patient enough to let me in at 1 minute til 5:00 to help me. Instead of rushing me or being frustrated, they were talking about news events with me like friends would and wouldn't accept my offer to give them dinner money for causing them stay after closing. I will gladly refer people here when they need plumbing supplies!

Think twice before working with General Plumbing Supply in American Canyon. I had the unfortunate experience to work with Lou Sr. who was not at all knowledgeable about the products he sells in his own showroom. My small job of converting my fiberglass bathtub to a shower became a huge nightmare and I blame Lou for 95% of the problems encountered. I thought my request to Lou of purchasing a stationary shower head as well as a hand held shower wand would be a pretty easy one to fulfill but boy was I wrong. He sold me the shower head, wand and something Moen calls ""Exactemp."" He said each was necessary for the fixtures I had selected after looking through the Moen product Directory.
My plumber installed what he was told he needed to for the completion of the job, my contractor tiled my walls and when installation day came for my fixtures to be put in place, we discovered we couldn't install the wand. Lou assured me this problem would be fixed and after waiting 4 LONG weeks, he brought the new fixtures to me. When my contractor tried to install the new ones, again I had the wrong ones. It only took another 2 weeks to get the correct parts, but I was told I would have to lose my hand held wand because of the Exactemp fixture. When I confronted Lou about how unhappy I was with this and his service overall, he said I was getting him ""all fired up."" I blew a fuse after he said this because all of my problems were caused by him, he moved at a snails pace to fix them and I ended up with a shower that was not my ideal. And he had the nerve to say I'm getting him all fired up? I have repeatedly asked him for instructions for ""exactemp,"" haven't received anything except the promise from Lou that the Moen rep would be in contact with me and since it has been over a month since he said this, I'm not counting on this happening anytime soon. Terrible customer service and lack of product knowledge should be enough to keep you from working with General Plumbing Supplies, American Canyon. You'll be sorry if you do.

I went in and was waited on by a woman who immediately had an attitude. My looks? I don't know. I'm asking questions and the phone rings and she helps the person on the phone and ignores me until I leave 4 minutes later The people at the Walnut Creek store are very helpful but I will never do business in American Canyon Again

I created a YELP account just to write how bad the customer service was today, 4-16-13. The old man at the front counter was beyond rude, like my questions werent on his list of things to do for the day. Im fairly certain that my questions make you money being how i have to buy the answers. Youre dealing with the public selling plumbing supplies not nuclear secrets and missles on the black market. What mean by that is, you dont have to act like a a-hole. LOWES took time to explain exactly what i was going to need and showed how to do it. You have lost my bussiness.
