General Plumbing helped us out when 6 of us in our loft condo building needed to replace water heaters. They gave us a good price, since we were doing so many at the same time, and were very professional and friendly while we waited for the heaters to arrive (had to order them). On installation day, they arrived on time (early even!) with 4 guys, so the installations went smoothly and quickly. We had told other residents to expect that the water would be off all day, but the job was finished before 2! The technicians were very friendly -- great to work with -- and efficient. I would call them again, without question!!

Ray Ramirez and his highly trained and experienced crew replaced a crumbling sewer lateral at my home in a timely manner. Ray reviewed the project on Friday, March 25, applied for the necessary permits and finished the project from start to finish on Friday, April 1. There was little disruption to the existing landscape. The property was left clean. Their bid was very competitive and their work done professionally. It was clear to me that every man on the job took pride in their work and strove for customer satisfaction. Fatima Gonzalez, Service Coordinator, was equally prompt, organized and professional. General Plumbing & Rooter will be my plumbing company of choice from now on.

We had to have our sewer line replaced. And these guys came through with flying colors. They gave me the best price and wonderful service. Ray and company are a joy to work with. They even had to slug it out in the rain towards the end of the day. They are very clean and professional. I highly recommend them for any sewer work and plumbing. We are flushing away like crazy these days thanks to General plumbing.

After calling ""rooter"" services every year, then every 9 months, then every 6 months, I concluded that I was stuck with the big bill and pain of tearing up my yard that would entail when I contracted to get a new line to the sewer main installed. Much to my surprise, General Plumbing and Rooter gave me a very competitive bid. Better yet, their technology allowed them to break up my old, rotting terra cotta pipes and install new 4"" HDPE pipes, only making a small hole at my clean out and at the coupling to the main sewer line in the street. The work was done in one work day and my yard was undisturbed. I am very pleased with the service and the result.

About a month ago we noticed a damp patch of drywall in out kitchen; after cutting out the damaged drywall we found the 4"" cast iron sewer pipe for the upstairs bathroom had a major crack in it (it was the original 100 year old pipe we think). General Plumbing sent out Alvarado in a few hours. He immediately got to work, removing the drywall and replaced a 8 foot section of cracked cast iron pipe with new ABS pipe, he even got under the house to make sure it was sealed and not leaking anywhere. It was a major pain in the *** to have this happen but Alvarado fixed it right up and we were very happy with the results.

On Dec 15th, I called this company for an urgent job to repair a shower head that had been dripping for several weeks in my rented home.
The plumber said the part was quite old, and hard to find. No part number, so he had to take a photo of it. I signed the estimate with the understanding that if the part couldn't be found he would have to replace the shower fixture (cutting the tiles) for a whopping $800.. and that's before the tile repair work.
Two days later I emailed the company when he said he was having a hard time tracking the part down. I asked to a copy of the photo since my husband knew where to look for old parts. Plumber said he went to 3-4 places and would look over the weekend and answer on Monday if he found it. I asked for a copy of the photo again, and no one sent it to me.
Two weeks later, the tenant sent me a message and I realized I was still waiting to hear. when I called the guy, he said he was waiting for me to decide what to do! that the part was not to be found. I was pretty upset about him not reaching out to me, and he said I could go elsewhere!
Well I did.. and DAVIS Plumbing in Walnut Creek sent someone out the next morning, and THEY HAD THE PART and the shower repaired IN UNDER 2 HOURS! THE BILL??? $280. !!!

I needed to have a sewer line replaced at a residence in Livermore. I called General Drainworks and spoke with Fatima. She very helpful throughout the entire process. Fatima told me that she would send a crewman over to the home and then would get back to me with an estimate. A couple of hours later I received an estimate that I found to be complete and very fair. I confirmed with Fatima that, ""yes"", we wanted to go with General Drainworks. Fatima set up the day and time, took care of the permits with the city and communicated with me throughout. On the day of the job, I stopped by the site. I found the crew to be timely, neat and organized, very knowledgeable, and personable. The crew worked seamlessly with the city inspector.
I would recommend General Drainworks to anyone. Their price was very competitive, everyone that I worked with or spoke to was helpful, and the work was done and completed professionally and on time.

Let's face it, if you are reading this review things aren't going well at home!

Well they weren't going well for us either. My mother lives in a 60+ year old home that was no longer going to function with the old terra cotta sewer line. I was looking at all the beautiful landscaping and envisioning what it was going to look like after they trenched the yard. This was going to be a nightmare, not so much getting a new sewer line installed, but, repairing the damage afterwards.

Central Sanitation recommended we contact General Plumbing in Antioch and go trenchless, I never had heard of such a thing.

Hugo came to the rescue with his crew and in 6 hours they had the job completed. Most jobs would take 2 holes, mine was 3 because of a second sewer line we had installed for an addition. So one small hole where the line connects to the house, one where the wye was in the lawn, and one in the street over the sewer line.

When they left the only way you could tell there had been any work done was the new asphalt in the street, where a shrub was trimmed back at the house, and where there lawn was patched from the hole. In a month we will never know and I don't have to redo landscape. And that is why these guys got 5 stars, they left nothing behind to pickup, it was spotless.

Thank you General Plumbing!
