Jonathan and his team were so courteous and got the job done! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. My landlord and I had called already 2 plumbers before him and had a very bad experience. Not only Jonathan listened to us, fixed the problem...he also took the time with the landlord to make him feel comfortable about the process. Definitely recommend them.

We called Rooter Hero and later discovered that General Plumbing & Rooter Hero are the same company. The tech arrived fairly quickly to snake our clogged sewer later from the front cleanout. He only tried for a couple minutes before informing us we'd need to hydro-jet the line to clear it. The cost was over $1800. Feeling our hands were tied, we reluctantly agreed. They took advantage of us and our predicament. A couple days later the drain again backed up since even the hydro-jet was shoddy. For $60 rental and an hour of dirty and hard work, we (a retired couple) managed to clear our entire line. We will NEVER recommend Rooter Hero/General and will NOT call them again.

I had a broken pipe next to my water meter which east bay mud shut my water off. Called Rooter Hero/General Plumbing and was greated by a very nice girl who was very professional and helpful. They sent out Alex and he was fantastic! He explained everything to me and worked very hard to get my water pipe replaced and the water back on! His coworker showed up to also help. (I think his name was Cris...sorry) I highly would recommend Alex and the people at this company! If I could give 20 stars I would!

My kitchen sink was clogged. The tech tried to snake it and it still wouldn't clear. Then he said he had to use a hydro flush which would cost $630. I told him I'd would try someone else. I still had to pay $100 for no results. I called Roto Reuter, told the tech what happened and he assured me he could clear the line for a flat fee of $450. So in short I think this place is just expensive and their pricing is not very transparent. Seems like the guy was just there to upsell me

Pros: customer service was great. They do free estimates and were able to come next day. The professional who did the plumbing was polite and even put on disposable booties when entering my house. The work itself seems fine and I appreciate the warranty.

Cons: $327 to replace a leaky P trap under our kitchen sink. I guess I was under the impression they were going to replace all the plumbing down there, but just a couple parts replaced. Couldn't have cost more than $20 in parts so that means the labor is $900 an hour since the job took 20 min. Unbelievable. I know Bay Area prices are high, but really?!

Long story short, our old knob style water main connection broke in a way we were not able to fix ourselves in the early afternoon of 12/29/2020. I contacted a few different local plumbers who were either booked for the day, did not service our area or not available because of the holidays. I was starting to stress since we were without water. I contacted Rooter Hero since they are a local company and what a life saver! They had someone out here within an hour and the repair done in a few hours. Thank you to Jorge M. and the entire team that took care of us, in what could have been a very stressful situation, they made it work so seamlessly. Everyone who helped us was professional, timely, used COVID safety measures, and very knowledgeable. Would use again!

This company was purchased by Hero plumbing. I needed a rooter for my kit hen sink. I called Friday morning and their call center called me right away letting me know that someone will be out on Friday. I didn't hear from them and followed up in the afternoon, they apologized and said they were swamped and can schedule us for the first appointment on sat morning. We received a call on sat morning and said someone will be at our home at 9am. At 10am no one had showed up. We had to call another company

Easy to schedule and gave same day service. They gave a free quote before starting, no minimum call out. The quote was expensive but that has always been my experience with Bay Area plumbing. They left my kitchen clean.

Scheduled an appointment via yelp. Customer service seemed really pleasant and responsive. But on the day of the appointment, no one shows up to the property. On sending message to yelp or calling them, both said that a dispatcher will be in contact to let you know what is happening. But nobody calls back or replies.

Thoroughly disappointed with the lack of communication and sync between sales and dispatchers.
